I got cancelled from a community college theater department for agreeing with the director. I watched a production commemorating V Day which consisted of several vignettes about how women are always put upon. The last one concluded with actors (my friends) chanting “believe her”. The director opened by admitting that as a man I might feel put upon and defensive. I raised my at this talk back and agreed, I did feel like I was being accused of something. I did disagree with the last performance, as an engineer I believe in facts. Men lie, women lie, people make mistakes, give me facts and proof. That scandalized them! I always bring receipts. Someone challenged me and I started giving examples of times when women lied about abuse, harassment, and rape. That really pissed them off. All of the actors got up and left. Later, the professor sent me an email saying that I was out, I was not wanted back, and my dramaturgy work would not be used in the coming production.
My Criminal Procedure professor got a lot of angry responses when she taught about defenses to rape accusations until the next class when she taught about the Scotsboro Boys. The weaponization of false rape allegations seemed to knock some sanity into the complainers.

I made it through AP Calculus and Chemistry with the highest scores in my class, once upon a time, but this stuff does not come easily. Yes. Have them but there were some discrepancies due to a late edit. I'll get them back.
hi Scott im drinking coffee Dilbert works at my office!
Nothing I can say here of any significance that won't get censored. It's Alphabet, Jake.
My two favorite podcasters together in one place ❤️
Isn't that the truth!
Good interview! Thanks!
I love that you guys sat in the same room and talked. When Shatner had a talk show, his chair setup was brilliant, I don’t know why others haven’t copied that.
I really don't like technology, frankly. Not only do I rarely have a use for it, but I have little patience with it and next to zero interest in it. (This makes me somewhat of a Millennial anomaly.) The downside is getting left behind to the point I can't even figure out how to do my taxes online, at least without a huge expenditure of aggravation and effort. I made it through AP Calculus and Chemistry with the highest scores in my class, once upon a time, but this stuff does not come easily. And I still can't quite grasp the necessity of having a Facebook, Yahoo or other Ap (to take just a few examples) when I have had accounts with those sites for years. It seems hopelessly redundant. Who knew that "convenience" could turn everything into such a complex web of inconvenience.
Man after my own heart. I despise being expected to do everything on a computer for my own convenience. It's not convenient!
Good interview, Zuby - big fan of yours.
Thank you, Zuby, for a wonderful interview with the very talented Scott Adams.
AI is on a dangerous path… just as the Internet has been. Zuby is right in. The Dilbert guy has a secular viewpoint.
I don’t agree with the other commentators here, seems like he’s backpedaling. Unfortunately, it looks like they got his mind straight.
Wonderful Podcast, thank you.
45:00 Norman Vincent Peale - The Power of Positive Thinking
Excellent interview, really enjoyed it.
I just finished his latest book, very funny and self deprecating.
scotts a cope'r, in his own words he knew since 8 he'd have to pay being born with his face. look at his life, dead step son, last wife left him to breed with chad.
"no courts have shown that the election was rigged in any big way".
• In Michigan, a court ruled (closing the case) that the secretary of state violated state election laws when she effectively eliminated signature matching requirements. [Genetski v Benson]
• In Wisconsin, its supreme court upheld a ruling that the use of unmanned drop boxes during the 2020 election was illegal.
Thank you.
On a side note,
"Pronouns are Rohypnol" - by Barra Kerr.
Well worth a read.
what?
@@reginapontes5672 Give it a read, you won't be asking "what".
Making the effort to create social interaction is a habit. I noticed the same. If you get out of the habit, it takes a great deal of conscious effort to get it back. Post-pandemic, our social interactions have dropped to near zero. As we age, the desire to make the effort decays.
nobody want to hang with a 70 year old gen x'er anymore, even with hundred of millions this guy still has zero life, my guess is he rents suger babies.
45:00 The name of the person that Adams fails to recall is Norman Vincent Peale. His book, which Adams also references, is _The Power of Positive Thinking._
Sam Harris-brilliant and well informed. Nah! A pseudo grifter and everyone knows it.
I have read a couple of his books. He had some good ideas many years ago but Sam Harris is not particularly intelligent and he went looney in 2015 abandoning all critical thinking and logic in his approach to politics.
Great conversation
Good point at 51:30. silos...and people who don't think they are in one but think you are or "those people" are but not they, themselves, surely...when they, themselves, definitely are and more so than most!
Thank you Zubi
Thank you.
I suppory scott. F the haters
Intrigued by the entire conversation until Scott predicted we’d all ultimately transform into robots.
I'm disappointed Scott chose to soft-pedal what really got him cancelled - where he said that blacks don't like whites so whites should thus seek to separate themselves from blacks, strenuously so and at all times.
I watched it - the video may still be posted here on YT.
Now I am conservative and very much put off by blacks who feel it is impossible for them to be racist so I tend to agree with that sentiment so he gets no condemnation from me.
lovely location, is that Scot's house?
This should be good!
"while unintelligent people are more easily misled by other people, intelligent people are more easily misled by themselves. They’re better at convincing themselves of things they want to believe rather than things that are actually true. " --Gurwinder.
The fusion bit at the end...... yeah....... The physicists running it have been overhyping it hard to get funding. They have yet to engineer a single fusion reactor capable of producing a single watt in excess. Sabrine Hossenfelder has some great videos about how they're basically conning people with their hype. At the moment, Fusion looks closer to being a lottery ticket than a safe bet.
..Scott is and always has been a good man..
..thanks to Zuby for platforming this..
What happened to Scott when he gave his presidential speech "To stay the F away from them" is what gets me into trouble as well. I try to paint a picture to make a point. People will draw meaning from your picture themselves despite the authors true intention.
Good interview, thanks, much appreciated.
We have authorities who are interfering with farmers.
Cancelled but not proven incorrect.
If he’s wrong….show me the proof.
Interesting guest change up, I’m Black and appreciate it Zoob
Video glitches while Scott is trying to explain his cancellation context. Interesting.
CIA, for real. Fed 8 yrs, DIA.
Probably a repetition of previous comments, but the pastor Scott wanted to name was Norman Vincent Peale, author of The Power of Positive Thinking.
Norman Vincente Peel might have been the preacher affecting Trumps technique.
45:00 I think he's talking about Norman Vincent Peale, and his book, "The Power of Positive Thinking."
lots of men are like Scot myself included, no wife, no friends, no family, when relationships split up a lot of the couple friends automatically go with the woman and men for whatever reason do not make the effort socially and after a while you realise you aren't sure how to connect with anyone you put it off fooling yourself that you will make an effort soon
Sad ; I’m sorry
Did Pres. Trump read Dale Carnegie ? He wrote "How To Win Friends And Influence People" . Dale Carnegie is buried in my home town cemetery at Belton , Missouri , a town right below Kansas City , Missouri ... My parents told me at the time that Dale Carnegie had his funeral in New York and then a funeral in our church , Belton Methodist Church ... For a town at that time , 1955 , we also had in our cemetery the anti alcohol Carrie Nation ... At the time our town had around 2,000 citizens ...
I used to get Dilbert daily and really miss him 😪
