1:08 I went to the building in the background from 1990-1993 when it was a college department. They were some of the best days of my youth. It was a shame that they tore it down for the monstrosity that's there now.
Up Firs Lane and where the sharp left hand turn and the Spar is, if you take the right into Heath Lane and then follow it to the end it was located along a dirt track there. Seems an odd place for a pub but if you think there was three mills at Tunnicliffe's and several collieries close by they would have had a steady stream of customers there.
Really great photos. One thing that strikes me, how there was no rubbish discarded in any photos taken. People had pride. Thanks for sharing.
