Anto please don't make me dislike you, we wouldnt have won the Campionato if it wasnt for Leao, a Milan fan should thank him and support him. Cassano is just trying to get everyone's attention with his controversial takes, there is no way that he really thinks that way
Aussie Milan fan here. I was super critical of Leao at the beginning of the season; as brilliant as he is, he seemed to lack the professional attitude of players like Mbappe or Vini Jr, he didn't track back, and sometimes he's careless with the ball. BUT there's no getting around it, even when he's not playing well, he's still an absolute demon who opens teams up and creates plenty of opportunities. He doesn't score every shot, but he's got a lot better at creating chances for others, looking for assists instead of long-range goals. Hope we can keep him.
Honestly i just think hes a player that should be allowed to get away with not doing too much defense, but he needs to be more consistent to justify the coach allowing him to do that.

Anto I disagree with you 1000000%, the garbage that comes from Cassano’s mouth is ridiculous. Just because he comes from where you come from doesn’t mean he can speak recklessly. Leao has another gear in him, what all of you do not realize is that he can turn it to another level. He is by far the best player in Serie A, he just needs a fire lit under him. Ask Zlatan…However, in the last 3 years all the expectations have been on Leao, if he plays well Milan wins, if he plays poorly Milan loses. I think Anto and other Leao critics who are Milan fans should go a little easy on him. He is the only player in Milan's attack with the X factor - can swing the tide of the match in a matter of 15 seconds. Moreover, should he leave, he'd be very difficult to replace as well. You see Inter fans intensely mocking Leao on social media- and you know that implicitly they consider him Milan's most potent player. I agree that he can do better / more... but as Mike said - nobody's perfect.. we as fans are far from perfect in our real lives so we can rationalize our expectations too. Leao is a splendid footballer who plays with joy and brings moments of bliss to all football fans, let alone Milan fans.

Love the derby win, De Rossi prepared them well after such a poor showing against Lecce. He deserves his flowers. Now Roma's schedule is a gauntlet, with Milan in Europa League too. This is the test now. Lukaku needs to find his previous form for us to have a chance. Dybala, since joining Roma, has found a new side of himself that I absolutely adore. So much fire. You can tell he loves the club and the city 110 percent.

I really like Pulisic but to me he has to show up in the big games the way Leao, Theo and Giroud do. He proved that he can be the difference maker against the low blocks and we really needed that because we usually drop a lot of points against smaller teams but he has yet to show up in the big games for me.

Cassano is a bum compared to Leao he struggled to maintain his weight while playing. Very poor take from Anto.
New players need time to acclimatize to their team and require meaningful playing time. Chuckweze was sitting behind Pulisic and was only able to get garbage minutes. The African nations cup did wonders for Chuck because he was able to establish consistency in his game. His first Serie A goal followed and his confidence has begun to arrive. We saw the same thing with Jovic. He also needed time to establish his capabilities as a super sub striker. People also forget about Okafor. He is able to produce without big minutes. I would be willing to have him play more starting minutes as striker instead of Giroud if the need for rotation becomes heavy.
About Leao. Just in yesterday's game I could say he's the reason we didn't lose but he's also a good reason why we didn't win. At the end of the game sassoulo had won the ball right by him on his side of the field and just like the entire game and just about every game he didn't try to track back to attempt to win the ball back, Giruod came all the way down to win the ball back right by where Leao was pretend jogging back on defense, he won it pretty easily too, I'd have to guess to say that guy wasn't expecting someone to come from behind him from the front three on that side of the field..... But there was only a few seconds left in extra time and we got one half-assed attempt out of it and the game ended in a draw against one of the worst teams in the league. The dude is just lazy. I've seen so many athletes with ridiculous amounts of potential waste possibly great careers because they think they are already enough after a couple good seasons and don't try to improve any further instead they do things like put out music albums in their free time..... This story I've seen numerous times, almost to a t. I just would like the guy to pick a path and put 100% into one or the other.
Also I think Pulisic is definitely the signing of the year for serie A, just in kit sales alone they made their money back and more, then of course there's what he has done on the pitch this year for them.

I’m in the middle with Leao and Cassano beef or I kinda agree and at the same time don’t agree with Cassano.
First of all, I think Cassano is a talent wasted just like Balloteli. These were 2 players I wanted them to reach their potential but didn’t due to character and personality issues. With that said, I agree and do think Leao is good player by his potential. I honestly think this dude can double his standard and performance. If he wanted to be Kaka level, he could. I respect Antonio as a Milan fan but disagree with him. Leao and Lautaro play in different positions. Leao would never have that many goal scoring as Lautaro but would have more assists than Lautaro in a season and the other way around because he is a LW and Lautaro is a CF.

Leao is, in my opinion, the best player in Italy. Has been for a while now. His body language doesnt reflect his contribution to our games. Even when he dont score or make an assist, he is always involved in the last third. Can dominate any 1v1 opponent due to his speed and natural strenght. People hate too much, and clearly doesnt actually watch Milan play. They just talk. Its a ridicolous callout from a very mediocre Cassano, whom was bench most of his career because he didnt have the mental strenght for that level. Like Leao sayd; A clown.

I really like your podcast, format and content and I’ve been watching on and off for a long time. For context, I’m Italian and a long time serie a & avid fan.
When I hear that cassano and Fabio caressa are your idols, it makes me reconsider your knowledge. Cassano is made fun of given his 3rd grade Italian level. Caressa on the other hand is well spoken but la la football intuition. He’s come out with bewildering statements even recently such as denying Kaka, Gullit, Maldini and Ronaldinho as “phenomenons” while Totti and Del Piero are! 😂 this guy can’t be for real. Ronaldinho alone was better than Totti and del Piero combined. Let alone prima Kakà, Gullit and Maldini ( widely regarded as best defender ever).
I would urge you to reconsider Italian journalism which is notoriously biased and think for yourselves. Paramount plus does an amazing job staying unbiased and as a viewer I appreciate. Both as it pertains to serie A and champions league alike.

As a Milan fan I got to HARD disagree with Antonio here. Cassano is a legit clown. Leao is the best player in the league right now. I'd say only Lautaro challenges him there. Sure he's not Mbappe or Vini Jr levels. But he's not far off.
