I started building guitars a while back, then I got this new job that really drains me. I noticed all I did outside of work was laying in bed watching bs on my phone. I started thinking about it and realized I'm wasting my life by not pushing through being tired to do what I like, now I'm back at it. I feel exhausted but the sense of purpose it brings me pays off.
@@nusi4043 well it's kind of a long story to be honest. I first found out building guitars was a thing when I was around 15, through UA-cam. Look for Fletcher Handcrafted guitars, he's the OG, but nowadays there are plenty of videos on this subject as well. Time went by and my life was in a very dark place, I was unemployed, didn't have anyone or anything going for me but I had some cash I had saved for the future, at the time I was actually thinking about cutting my future a little bit short so I didn't mind spending some of it lol. I started looking into CNC, CAD modeling, CAM, and eventually I found out I could design and build a CNC machine for cheap in my garage (building the cnc is optional, you can get one built for you or not even go the CNC route all together, you can use just handheld power tools or just regular tools). So just acquiring knowledge about building the CNC, learning Fusion 360 as my CAD and CAM software and actually building the thing took around 6 months. I built a couple of guitars, wasn't too happy about how they turned out. Eventually I found clients online and started selling a few kits (unfinished necks and bodies), I must've sold around 10 at most, didn't make a lot of money but learned lots of stuff. I'm now in the process of building a guitar for myself since I sold all my guitars to pay for stuff while I didn't have a job and I gotta say, it's by far the best instrument I've ever built and probably the best I'll ever own if I don't screw up. If you like guitars, spending time with yourself and tackling meaningful projects, I highly encourage you to look into it. It takes a long time to pay off, so you have to enjoy the process. If you decide to give it a go, be proud of your first guitars but know that you'll probably goof up, that's completely fine. In no time you'll be building the stuff you ever dreamt about playing and having, and don't settle for good enough, you can make perfect, better than factory instruments at home.

It makes me feel accomplished whenever I finish a new video and upload it, even though it gets few views. It really makes you feel like you've done something in life, if you know what I mean.
I find that the fact that this video is illustrated by extremely quick and simple paint drawings that anyone could does not diminish its quality in the slightest, and in fact works as a super strong motivator to prioritize making/telling stuff over doing it fancy
W video, personally i like creating clay characters (i.g making a clay version of kirby) and i like programming (with arduino but also visual studio code)
I started making VRChat content after a year of throwing modelling techniques at it to see what works. The feeling of being able to create literally anything is the best shit ever
People honestly fail to understand how underrated art is… As it is not just a painting on a canvas but like you said it can also be 3D modeling and in my opinion one of the most fun things art can be then those would be animations… Create your own story with your own characters and it doesn’t have to be adhering to perfect sketch with human like characters but could be creative like Phineas and Ferb with a Triangle Face structure and vertical rectangle face structure of the characters. But it is really fun, musical and well written plot all of that makes it interesting to watch. I think animation by far can be part of the really creative thing of Art. .
Man, this really came at the right moment, I've alway had the desire to create things but idk ivne never feelt capable of doing them and just like 10 minutes ago i was watching on of my favourites videos "today is the day". I love to create. Something I've been reflecting on lately is not focusing too much on failure when starting a project. Error is necessary to learn, it is part of the path. And I say that because one of the main reasons I didn't start a project sooner was fear of failure. So for me the most important learning when starting to create things is to leave fear behind. :)))))))))))))))))))))))))))) Thanks for the video
I love you man. Ppl like me overthink and end up doing nothing. This type of videos relaxes me, ' Hey its not that hard, just do something little by little every day'.
Great video! I always try to convince people to get into programming. So many people think it's this crazy inaccessible arcane thing, but if you're willing to start small and can think of a simple passion project to get you going, you can learn real quick and it opens up all sorts of great things from satisfying hobby to job opportunities to being able to write your own handy utilities to the sheer joy of being able to just create things.
Perplexed by the decision to give cooking C tier. Literally every other human will have some ability to appreciate what you make and, in terms of use, you need to eat basically every single day so learning cooking pays dividends for the rest of your life.
Imo it is. If you really get into it and you want to start making more advanced dishes or baked goods, you will have to invest money, also kitchen appliances are really expensive
Is the voice ai generated? It's subtle but you never change the speed of your voice, and I feel like I can hear the robotic part of it still EDIT: After watching the whole thing, the voice is definitely AI generated, especially noticeable with the pause at 5:15 when he says "I suggest looking up *Pause* how to get started with arduino" The way its said doesn't make any sense. Anyway I think you should say when your videos use an AI voice in the description, just seems more genuine,
Yes this voice is ai generated, i adressed it in the comments. It is, because my accent is terrible when i'm speaking english :( , but i didnt wanna miss out on the idea i had for this video. You‘re probably right, that it should be in the description, i just plainly forgot it
@@PixelatedLifeLessons so why don't you edit the description to add it? You could just put at the bottom "The voice is AI generated because my accent is bad"
Great video. :) A good advice if you are just starting with learning a new skill is to not underestimate the power of small projects. Let's say you want to learn game development and have a grand idea for your dream game. Make 10-20 small games first, throwaway projects, so you learn the skill and know how to approach your passion project on a scale. You will avoid feeling overwhelmed by something you care about. This is probably most applicable to the 'Tech' category, but I hope it helps somebody!

I liked the style of your video. It is simple yet engaging. I have a lot of projects I’m working on, mainly creating slide presentations and converting them into videos (I’m a teacher, by the way). However, I often feel ashamed of not being able to edit at a high level or not being an absolute expert on the topics I’m discussing. Thank you so much :) . I will hahhaha, you just made my entire day
0:43 god dam it I told you to get off my wall
I was demotivated by overwhelming thoughts that I might not be able to do a good job at first try, but I came across your video, and... everything seems clear that I just gotta start, so thank you
Good luck man ;)
I've already got some low time-sink projects going but have spent a lot of time online and this has gotten me to think about some ideas. Thanks!
I`m glad :), go for it man!
Im about to start translating a book to english and holy fuck is this motivating
This sounds fkn awesome, what kind of book?
This is a really great idea to turn your life around. I also started a UA-cam channel recently, and it has been a fun journey so far. It makes me feel accomplished whenever I finish a new video and upload it, even though it gets few views. It really makes you feel like you've done something in life, if you know what I mean.
I absolutely know what you mean, glad you found passion :)
I find that the fact that this video is illustrated by extremely quick and simple paint drawings that anyone could does not diminish its quality in the slightest, and in fact works as a super strong motivator to prioritize making/telling stuff over doing it fancy
Thank you :)
W video, personally i like creating clay characters (i.g making a clay version of kirby) and i like programming (with arduino but also visual studio code)
That's awsome man. Clay figures are underrated ngl ;)
Animatronic Kirby? hmmmm..???
@@deleted_handle ?
@@PixelatedLifeLessonsthx, also DANG your vid blew op man; totally deserved dawg
Thank you for making this complex topic so engaging and easy to understand!
EXPLOSION IS AN ART!
🧨🧨
I started making VRChat content after a year of throwing modelling techniques at it to see what works.
The feeling of being able to create literally anything is the best shit ever
Facts!
this is the realest youtube video ive ever seen
dude super fun cool vid lol , just gotta get started things themself become cool after some time and practice
1:23 Oh don't worry, your weird neighbor already knows.
They always know
This is so underrated. I feel like a lot of people dont wanna just do things to do things anymore, its always for the fame.
Sometimes i also have this feeling, but i think there is a good amount of people who just dont know where to start, therefore this vid :)
People honestly fail to understand how underrated art is…
As it is not just a painting on a canvas but like you said it can also be 3D modeling and in my opinion one of the most fun things art can be then those would be animations…
Create your own story with your own characters and it doesn’t have to be adhering to perfect sketch with human like characters but could be creative like Phineas and Ferb with a Triangle Face structure and vertical rectangle face structure of the characters. But it is really fun, musical and well written plot all of that makes it interesting to watch.
I think animation by far can be part of the really creative thing of Art. .
beautifully said
Cool video, very well done. The algorithm has done its job once again. Here's to 5k subs and beyond!
Thanks darth Vader :)
2:59 im i the only one that choked when i saw this code?
Man, this really came at the right moment, I've alway had the desire to create things but idk ivne never feelt capable of doing them and just like 10 minutes ago i was watching on of my favourites videos "today is the day". And i thought that i would like to do something like that, and then this video appeared, im gonna take it as a sign to start doing things, thank you!
With enough effort you are capable of doing everything you want ;). Glad you found your way!
I tried building a server yesterday and it completely flopped because I had mismatched ram and just other bs but i wasn't upset I failed, I was happy that I tried my best trouble shooting and I didn't beat myself up for it! Learning is awesome :)
It is very hard to not get frustrated at this point and you managed it so well! Great job ;)
i relate
Awesome content! This video is more helpful (and humorous) than most other "self improvement" gurus out there.
Naw thank you so much that's so nice to hear :)
important: if you keep trying to make shit but give up in three days of hyperfocus, learn about adhd
This has to be a sign from the universe
Yo holy fuck I got this video recommended randomly and thought you was a bigger ytber but since you just starting out I wanna say you made an awesome vid right there, definitely earned the subs and I'll be here whenever you got some new cool shit for us
Thats so nice of you :). Stay tuned (it will take some time tho)
couldn’t agree more. he’s just doing his own little project like the rest of us and it’s amazing

3:40 as a woman, craft is also the most womanly thing whether you like it or not 😌
Didn't wanna exclude anybody sorry. Just 95% of the people watching are man and "manly" just suited better for the joke
:))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
Thanks for the video
Some wise words here ;)
Damn, this inspired me. I gotta start making videos again.
Go for it man, I‘m sure you will be doing great ;)
You should, I saw your bug video and thought it was interesting
Good to see that UA-cam is starting to recommend new creators. Keep up the good work, new sub :)
Thanks man, this really means a lot to me :D
I love you man. Ppl like me overthink and end up doing nothing. This type of videos relaxes me, ' Hey its not that hard, just do something little by little every day'.
Nah man not ppl like you, it's nearly everyone, don't be to harsh on yourself. Glad i could help :)
😊❤
YT finally pushing the right Content. Liked and Subscribed to this awesome creator
Thanks man, this means a lot to me :)
You are pretty underrated
Appreciate it :)
this was a super refreshing video man.
Happy to hear that :)
Programming is awesome yes :)
actually relevant content, simple and straightforward script, and the guy appreciates his audience by replying to the comments. subbed.
Thanks my guy, love you all
Perplexed by the decision to give cooking C tier.
Great vid man, keep up the amazing work!
Thanks my guy :)
Anyway I think you should say when your videos use an AI voice in the description, just seems more genuine,
Yeah
Yes this voice is ai generated, i adressed it in the comments. It is, because my accent is terrible when i'm speaking english :( , but i didnt wanna miss out on the idea i had for this video. You‘re probably right, that it should be in the description, i just plainly forgot it
@@PixelatedLifeLessons so why don't you edit the description to add it? You could just put at the bottom "The voice is AI generated because my accent is bad"
@jmvr i did
@@PixelatedLifeLessons eventually, but yeah that's better
On the home stretch of a big tech project. Not my first but certainly my longest and most complicated. Needed this to remind me why I started, thanks!
Now i am interested in what the project is
Should add songwriting or music production :)
@@1726Meow Yes i should have, sadly never made any experiences, so i totally forgot
True words here
wholesome frame 2:42
I just love your artstyle, the ideas you show us & how you narrate them in this video, you've gained a genuine subscriber.
Thank you, I am glad :)
0:56 Noway bro gave those crocs gawk gawk
Hawk tuah or something like that
Wasnt mentioned as a project in the video, but ive dreamed for months of making a full length music album with a complete story and attempt to do something truly emtional and special. Youve brought me some motivation and helped me realize that starting isnt so bad, especially if i already have some basic resources and the entire internet at my hands. Thank you little stickman!
Please make this, it sounds fkn awesome ;)
How aren't you famous, this feels high quality. Like you are like the other famous people, you must've done lots of research. Keep it up, I subscribed for more 😄😄.
Thanks a lot :), i just started so i think it‘s going to take a while until i reach an larger audience (dont get me wrong i‘m super happy that i reached this many people in the period of 2 days). Yeah the research and script writing took quite a long time but it definitely paid off
@@PixelatedLifeLessons Good job!! Your video is sky rocketing so quickly😁. You already have 1,300 likes on your video and 8000 views. That's quick for only 3 days!
@Info2y i am overwhelmed ngl :)
@@NoCaffeine4Me What do you mean? The standart version of capcut is free isn't it? That will do the job if your focus is on cutting your video. If you looking for an alternative, is recommend using shotcut (its free)
Goddamn why is this video actually good. Nice job mysterious stickman, u convinced me to start my journey
So glad to hear! And also thank you :)
Very good video, I like the art style! Just wondering though, are you using an AI generated voice for this? I'm so paranoid nowadays since it's so hard to know the difference. It's totally cool if you don't want to use your real voice, I'm genuinely just curious.
Thank you :) Yes I am, because my accent is terrible when i'm speaking english :( , but i didnt wanna miss out on the idea i had for this video
@@PixelatedLifeLessons Well, you made some cool shit, that's all that matters :)
I love these AvE flavored motivational videos! I have so many projects just waiting to get started.

@@PixelatedLifeLessons but i aint making progress😭🙏

I liked the style of your video. It is simple yet engaging. I have a lot of projects I’m working on, mainly creating slide presentations and converting them into videos (I’m a teacher, by the way). However, I often feel ashamed of not being able to edit at a high level or not being an absolute expert on the topics I’m discussing. Your video helped me understand that simplicity, along with a concise and well-formulated script, can be enough. Great video! You've earned a subscriber.
Thanks so much :), don't be ashamed, your one of few teachers who take their time and really think about ways to present. That's already more than most of my teachers ever did. I'm sure your students will appreciate the effort :D
this is the best cool-shit video I have watched and the way you convey it with pixels. In the last few months I've only watched motivational videos or videos about how to create content with cinematic footage, with cool visual hooks, and it just went around in my head without any action, because I felt it was difficult to do with the resources I had and my skills. after seeing your video, I think this is the coolest content, you only use very simple pixel images, which I think is very interesting and cool as shit.
When I try to start my project, I am always haunted by the question of whether my project will be seen by people, what people will say about my project, whether my project is worth to upload on youtube. after watching this video, I think I should start to start my cool-shit project. Thank you very much for making this cool-shit video 😁😁😁
Really enjoyed this video. I shared it to many who I thought would benefit from it. Keep posting 🎉
thank you so much! I will :)
This video being the first of your channel and getting this much traction is super inspiring
Thanks a lot :)
I like that there’s no music in the background :) so much easier to enjoy the vid without that distraction
Yesss, thanks for the positive feedback :)
this shit fire my guy gotta say idk i love how direct and straightforward it was, reminds me of old youtube where not everything was a 15 or 20 minute video
Thanks man. I agree, lets bring back these glory times
Great First Video!!!
I needed this 😌.
Glad to hear :))
I love this video, it sounds like it would play on a tv in a horror game
thanks i guess? hahaha
First youtube video and it's of this caliber? Yeah I'll sub
Thank you :D
Honestly doing shit like making art, learning how to fix my own tech, and cooking, has brought a lot of happiness within me and it beats doing nothing and playing videogames all day
