Man. I had trouble with get my chin over the bar, it took me a a lot energy. I kinda external rotated my fore arm then visually tried to pull the bar from hand. But it just screwed my top chin over the bar. Like bad energy transfer. I just training my technique in chin ups with sub maximal reps, 3 times a day to get better technical. I follow your cues and mimic you. It was my most explosive Rep I ever done. Also it felt like done no reps. I heard the ques before. But I guess I am visual learner. Because I am super stoked now. I prepare myself for low Rep section to train my strength. I felt my technique was bad. I finally think confident that I can start loading this movement in a month or two. Thank you so much
Another cue that you could say that means the same thing would be, keeping your elbow inline will the pivot point and in this case, making sure your elbows is always directly inline with the horizontal bar. Keeping your elbows > wrist > bar all in alignment in one line.
I usually think ”pull down the bar down to the chest” which in a sense is driving with shoulder extension. In your experience, Have you noticed a difference between the cue of pulling with the elbows and pulling the bar down (if you have used that)?
How many pull up variations (different grips and styles) do you use in your training? I can both see an argument for using only under and overhand, but also for using more grips like wide and neutral grip
Hi Whenever I do chin ups (I do them weighted now) my elbows always flare out. Is this correct?, if not how would you recommend I try to reduce elbow flare? Thanks
Lol love how I asked this question a few days back in your Instagram story and you not only sent me your blog post, but now this. You da best.

Sounds pretty similar 💪🏻

Depends on the phase of my training. It’s not the same the whole year. Off-season I use more grips, in season almost only chin up grip
@@MichaSchulz oke makes sense
Micha do you have ebooks or posts about strretlifting and calisthenics? Where can we buy or acquired them?
Check my Instagram channel for more content. Courses and seminars are part of my coaching service 💪🏻
Can you use a similar cue for pullups (if you use a shoulder width grip and ellbows in)?
I have an older video about pull ups and the cues for it 👌🏻
Was empfiehlst du für Leihen was sie aus ihrer Sicht anpeilen sollten?

Hi
Whenever I do chin ups (I do them weighted now) my elbows always flare out. Is this correct?, if not how would you recommend I try to reduce elbow flare?
Thanks
