Girl do not be scared to share your pay! we all need to be more open and transparent about wages. Remember it's the employers who created the barrier to not share it. I am curious to learn more about your Bilingual experience, I will hopefully be working like this as well.
That was my exact thought as well! You’re a great advocate for the SLPA field, and part of advocating for it is being open & letting others see the wage gaps in our field. We need each other’s transparency!
Undergrad studying speech and hearing sciences here!! Love your videos!! Currently a senior deciding on weather to take a gap year to gain experience or not, this motivates me and excites me. Todo a su tiempo. #Latina❤️
This is one of the most entertaining SLP-related UA-cam content I've seen. I love this I'm so glad you are in the field. I can't wait to see more videos. I hope you are coming to the next ASHA convention. And we have the exact same pair of glasses!!!
Are you willing to teach us the basics of interventions, like how to go about applying them? I'm so nervous I REALLY REALLY want to work as an SLPA soy Latina :) pero no se, I'm worried b/c I feel incompetent even after undergrad. How would I know how to set up my session ? I don't want to let my future supervisor down! Really love your videos, gives me so much hope!
Hi Cherry! I personally don't do any interventions/assessments. As an SLPA we are only in charge of implementing activities to reach the client's goals. We need more Latina SLPAs within our field so trust me that YOU ARE NEEDED!
Girl I’ve been watching your videos and they are so informative. I have been in working at an early start as a SLPA. I have not applied to grad school because I feel that I lost my passion for the field due to not being able to work directly with the clients and therapy cancelations/no shows. I’m planning on applying to different companies so that I can work with a different age group.
Hi. I am currently an SLPA student working on my degree and starting my clinincal. Do you have a video or pointers on the best way that you take data with your clients.
You’re a SLPA and going to school to become an SLP? I’m kind of confused 😅 I’m trying to change my major to SLPA, but I haven’t gotten a lot of advice from advisors so I’m searching for answers and advice. I originally wanted to go to school to become an SLP, but to be completely honest I have been stuck between the both. I wouldn’t mind being an SLPA and going back to school to become a SLP.
Thanks for your time and help:) I am not from The USA so if i come as an international student will i be able to do an Associate’s degree in Science in Speech Language Pathology? Is there an associate’s degree at the first place? And the without doing a bachelor will i be able to work with the associates degree alone? If yes what would be my duty or will i also be called SLPA? or bachelor is a must to get job? Also what are the differences between doing Associates degree in this subject and doing BSc? Thanks so much x

How did you prepare to be an SLPA ? Did the clinic you work at put you in training or what steps did you take ?
Thanks for your time and help:)

What do you recommend for online sessions
Why do you think it’s inappropriate to share your pay? That’s what most of us watching your video are curious about so it’s a little bit misleading
I really want to be a SlPA but I can’t handle school I’ve dropped out twice so now I’m a BT (behavior technician) with just a high school diploma
