Thank you for another informative video! I finally purchased my van today! So excited to get it set up and ready for camping. You are such an inspiration!
Happy Spring, Nancy! Your van looks pristine inside & out! And I see the BougeRV fridge is once again back in its place. The smaller table in back is really perfect for so many uses. Have a wonderful day & thanks for showing your little improvements to your minivan layout.
Hi, Nancy Faye! Another great video. You always inspire me to lighten up and pare down. I bring too much when I go camping and I always think of you when I’m unloading my stuff. 😂😂 I’ll keep trying to be a better minimalist! Thank you again 😊
I remember seeing your van some time back. Yours was definitely a keeper. People like you have definitely inspired me to began my journey and document it on my youtube channel. I hope to see you out on the road. Thanks for sharing❤
Thanks for watching! I hope it works out well for you! Make sure you reinforce that table underneath in the center and add all the legs. Very important to make sure it can sustain our weight. It’s rated for 200 pounds of evenly distributed weight. And we are not evenly distributed humans! Thanks for watching! Have a fantastic day!😃💯🙌🏼
Took my van out camping for a quick overnight trip. It went well. Used the table as a bed platform and it worked well. I am only 5'0 tall and petite. I had no problems with the length. I am a side sleeper , so the width was not an issue either. the only thing I didn't really like was the very llimited headroom, but I can live with it. I had enough room to bring my 50 lb dog with me and still had left over room on the floor.
Thanks for watching! This makes me so happy! I’m so glad it worked out for you! Did you reinforce the bed? Did you use a 4 foot table or a foldable? Or possibly build your own platform? Super happy it worked out and you had enough food for your dog!😃💯🙌🏼
@@ModernDayPilgrim I found a foldable 4 ft table commercial grade. It can hold up to 300 lbs. I am not even close to weighting that much, so haven't reinforced it yet. I live out in the boonies, so the closest hardware store is about 30 miles away. But, I do plan to do some reinforcement, when I get out to the hardware store. I am hoping to find a handyman to make me a platform using the table as the template.
Did the table seem to buckle any? I am petite like you but I don't think that table would be adequate support?? Nevermind, disregard my question. It sounds like the table you have is way more heavy duty than the one I have. I believe mine is like the one she has in the video and mine is plastic. I really don't think it could support even 95 pounds long term.
Sorry if this has already been answered. I did see where a lady commented earlier, she was 5' 1" and was taking notes on this no-build method. But the question is the width of the bed area. If you have a pillow in place, and your feet are touching the window, how tall would one have to be, to be able to fit comfortably in that bed layout? I'm 5' 7", so I know, without a doubt, I would have to have the bed running length-wise. Truly do love the quick setup. Gave me ideas of future buildouts and upgrades that don't necessarily have to involve a lot of tool-work. Saved this in a buildout methods playlist on here on UA-cam. Never would've thought one of those foldable white tables would be short enough to fit in one of those vans, but I did see that one actually appears to have adjustable legs. Thank you for taking the time out of your day, to share these cool ideas with others. ✨💖
Thanks for watching! And for your comment. The bed is 67 inches long. I’m 62 inches long so I fed up there just fine. You’d have to be under 5 foot seven to be able to fully stretch out. Hope this helps! Have a fantastic day!🙌🏼💯😃
Helpful video. Could you also do a video on how to select a generator? I'm just starting to get acquainted with them and need more explanation on what each of the outlets are for, the different types that is and what types of appliances you can hook up with them as well as a UPS feature which is important to me. My main needs would be to use an electrical cooker of some sort, like an electric frying pan, or heater or fans and a TV as well as charging phones and a pc. I'm also interested in one that has portable solar panels rather than the kind you attached to the roof of the car. I've seen some videos out there but then when you go to look at the customer reviews of such products, there's always lots that say it didn't work or has limited features or whatever. The three main brands that I know of are jackery, bluetti, & anchor.
Hi there! Thanks for watching! I appreciate your support. So I have several videos about power stations in my playlist. It’s called “VAN CAMPING in Michigan.” The most recent one I will post here in this response to your question. Have a fantastic day! I hope this helps. 😊💯🙌🏼. Which Portable Power Stations And Refrigerators Do You Need? ua-cam.com/video/wnyMtAfaUwU/v-deo.html
I'm easy to please... just throw a cooler, a tablet, my trusty old $17 butane hot plate, and an air mattress in my 2007 Grand caravan, and I'm happy. LOL. I have the stow and go seat a tiny 12vdc refrigerator that holds a 6 pack of coke... even says coke on it.. I probably should vacuum it out and wash everything before I head back to NC from South West Florida . Lol I think I am going to put curtains on my back windows and screen inside the rear vent windows that open up with the push of a button. Lol. I wish I had a newer van with the windows on the sliding doors that roll down, but I plan on making a screen so in the hotter months I can open the sliding doors to help with the heat. I'm not to worried about stealthy camping so I might add a awning system that I can remove when just driving. And I have been converting the interior lights to LED bulbs. Still coming up with ideas.
Thanks for watching! Thanks for sharing your set up! And you are absolutely correct, we don’t need much to get along. Devising a way to get good airflow in your fan is definitely going to make your van camping more comfortable. 🥵🥵🥵 Thanks for taking the time to comment! Have a fantastic day! 🙌🏼😃💯

Thanks for watching! Is your refrigerator just a electric cooler? Or is it an actual refrigerator that has a compressor that runs intermittently? If it is an electric cooler that runs continually then it’s definitely not economical. You have a refrigerator with a compressor, those only take between 35 and 45 W when the compressor is on. I can get 2 1/2 days out of my Jackery 500 while using it for my refrigerator. Hope this helps! Have a fantastic day!😃🙌🏼💯
