    Great advice. We can also say a person who is too calm can be caught off guard can controlled. If a person runs up on a person and they get their ass beat... the aggressive person also controlled the calm person. Its about who controls who better. Again I agree with you. Peace.

    Excellent, excellent advice. Indeed, the most challenging part of self defense is keeping cool, maintaining your focus, and not letting your ego get in the way. The time spent on dealing with the niceties of ego, is the time wasted, that you could have otherwise utilized to think on your feet and defuse the situation.

    Another really big mistake is to trust to the mercy of the attacker. "When i dont punch back he will not hurt me so bad/ of course he will stop when i lay on the ground" etc...NO. Be sure he will NOT. So switch him out that he CANT fight further.

      CodeRedDefense.com for me the irritation is from guys who think because they talk loud that they are a bad ass . I keep my ego in check and I don't engage them.

    Hey Nick really love your videos , I've recently got into a real 4 vs 1 scenario because I had advise someone to close his cellphone while being at the theater. By strike of luck I got out of there without engaging a fight against four large attackers ,I tried my best to diffuse , I got pushed and the guy was in my face , but I didn't strike. Now after looking at many of your clips, I feel more aware and understand the a reality of a street fight . Thanks for your great teachings.

      Hi Aïk, thanks for your message and support. We're glad to hear that you are safe from that potential violent situation. That could have been much worse but it's great to see that you used your verbal defense tactics successfully. Take care and stay safe.

    *So the biggest mistake you can do in a fight is get into a fight???*
    *Some fights you can't avoid, sometimes you even need to start them to protect the weak.*
    *If a woman is attacked in the street you don't get to "keep your ego in check" and walk away".*
    *You get in and help.*

    • @codereddefense
      @codereddefense  8 років тому +3

      Thanks Joe for sharing your thoughts on this video. Yes, certainly if someone needs your help you could assist them in many ways and also by fighting off the assailant. The videos' purpose was more about street fights i.e. road rages, school fights, other street fights that can be avoided. Furthermore, we always prone to defuse a situation when you can... If it's not possible, you need to defend yourself to finish the threat. Thanks again for sharing your point of view and stay safe.

      Brudny Sanchez for real! You don't know what she did to make that person attack her....sometimes she might deserve it. Had a high school classmate killed like that! He stepped in to help some random woman who was getting beaten by some guy....turns out she had set up his brother to be killed or something a year earlier....and my classmate was shot and killed. You must first try to identify what's taking place and why....then try to figure out what you can do to help, if you think your gonna get hurt...call for help or just mind your business and see another day.

      No, i am not native english speaking but i think he means Not to get on the same rage level as the attacker but get cool. If the other is on rage and makes mambo jambo DONT play his game too. Watch different YT vids when two guys stand in front to and gets aggro and suddenly one of them punches and the other goes KO. DONT go aggro like your opponent and NEVER let your hands DOWN.
