      You really should watch the hole video before u judge her there was hours of her crying and praying and the aunt and little cousins were the ones that brought the silly string because it was there little best friends favorite thing. The cops followed her for a year and this was the only thing they could use against her and it was a snippet of what transpired that day. Noone ever talks about the Husband he had a motive he was having an affair they never showed a motive for her. Woman that kill there kids always end up having a motive weather it is an affair, drugs crazy religion belief they never found anything in her background. Woman that kill there kids kill them all she would have had the opportunity to kill all of them I am sure at some point she would have been left alone with them while her husband was in a different part of the house.

Darle is a wreak in most of the rest of the video footage, but that was not shown here and was not shown to her jury in her trail. • @kevinmichael8619

    Some questions for people who think she's innocent:
    Why does her shirt have cuts that don't correspond to any wounds?
    Why is there no trace of blood in the garage? If you say it's because the intruder didn't have any blood on him, how do you explain all the blood in the utility room?
    If Darlie truly put wet towels on the boys' backs, why were there no towels anywhere near the boys: why were the only bloody towels found in the hallway near the kitchen? Why wasn't a single drop of either boys' blood found on any of the towels?
    When Darlie gave police a detailed inventory of her injuries, two day days before they were photographed, why did Darlie never mention the bruising on her arms?
    Why did Darlie's mom wait 5 years before mentioning the "insurance scam' to anyone?
    If Darin has arranged to have his car stolen, why can no-one produce a police report of the theft? He couldn't have claimed any insurance payment without one.
    If the police had such tunnel vision, why did they spend several days combing the house for evidence, or waste hundreds of man-hours following up leads about the "black car"?
    If the police were looking to frame Darlie, why did they DNA test the blond hair found in the window screen?
    Why did Darlie spend years delaying the bloody fingerprint being run through the database?
    I'd appreciate any and all answers.

    The mother talking about how that bread knife wouldn’t have cut through a screen was pure stupidity. Firstly, that knife although round tipped, still came to a sharp point and second, so what, I guess one can only use a screen knife? (Sarcasm btw.)
    I believe she committed those heinous acts and it wasn’t the silly string tape that “sealed her fate.” The jury took 10 hours to deliberate and it doesn’t take that long to watch that video six times (as they did.) Also, they rewatched that as many times as they did to probably try and find some semblance of indication of a true grief stricken mother. There was no rush to judgment over that tape, they convicted her because of all the evidence against her and maybe even desperately wanted to see some authentic emotion from her in that tape to see if there’s anything in there, but she’s just hollow. I believe her as much as I believe Diane downs.

    • @hound205
      @hound205 4 місяці тому +3

      Totally agree. I believe she is guilty because of the physical evidence. I wish they had not shown the silly string video until sentencing because it has created such controversy and some of her supporters claim it was the reason she was found guilty.

    • @kevinmichael8619

      According to a juror, they watched the tape three times: once during the guilt phase, and twice during the penalty phase

    • @lesterine77
      @lesterine77 3 місяці тому

      They didn't watch the whole tape. They only had access to what was entered into evidence and for some reason, the defense did not even try to get the entire tape entered. They just agreed to what the prosecution entered. So no, that jury most definitely did not see that whole video. I think darlie is guilty, but I absolutely think reasonable doubt is strong in this case. But then again, most cases in the 80s and early 90s and earlier, if tried today with 80s and 90s evidence, would not raise to reasonable doubt. Bc of technology. Personally, the biggest thing that is reasonable doubt in this instance is the fact that there was someone trying to break into homes where women were alone that same night in that same neighborhood. Darlie was downstairs. Anyone looking in would see her alone. No husband and children sleeping on the floor making it less likely to be seen. That's a huge pile of doubt to get over.

      Yass! I think the saddest part about Natalies death is that she was actually terrified of drowning and hated being on the water. I don't know. I have been in very painful circumstances and I don't cry easily. But when you lose your children or anyone important to you, in this manner, I think the tears of devastation would be there. However, some people are more angry and upset that they weren't there to, or didn't save their loved ones and then they beat themselves up inside and the sweated tears are more on the edge of coming out; the expression of hurt and devastation is there but less teary, particularly for men. But con artists, especially male ones, cry in the most overwhelming and compelling manner. Red faced, blubbering or bawling, crying for themselves. However, the same gut crying can be for the right reasons as for the wrong ones. In family court they often treat women's tears as lies, but men's tears as genuine, but either way, they often get it wrong. Sweated tears can also be fake and more about the effort of trying to lie. You have to look at the whole picture.

I am a mother of 4 children and being able to spray silly string and smack gum while laughing it up at my children’s fresh graveside was absolutely repulsive to me. I have lost one of my children since this case went down to a tragic motorcycle accident and wow, it’s been almost 2 years now and I can’t really laugh or even get my sons name out of my mouth without shaking and feeling emotions welling up inside me. I have to stop myself and switch to another topic before I break down…it is just too damn painful! My son died of a foolish and careless mistake, her children were murdered in cold blood around her and yet she isn’t even traumatized enough to shed a tear at their grave?! This woman is sick and evil! She doesn’t need help, she deserves the death sentence she received! The only question in any of the minds of the locals around her had over this case was whether the husband has his own role in the murders or not. They never could pull enough evidence together to convict him as an accessory in all this, but it was very hard for most of us to believe that he knew and heard none of the events going on downstairs. His “innocence” in all this still is questionable. During the burying of his children and the trial he was far more interested in “saving Darlie” than what really happened to his own children! Supposedly, he vowed to spend ever last penny he ever made trying to get Darlie’s case over turned and her freedom. I guess that hasn’t really worked out for her now has it? There is a special place in hell for Darlie and they need to hurry up and send her there.

There is so much evidence that the national news organizations like to leave out when they cover this case. They just want it to look like it was just stupid small town investigators who went after this poor woman just because she grieved in a weird way. As they always say, how do any of us know how we would react in that circumstance? I think most people have enough empathy to know how humans react to certain situations.
    A few years ago I listened to an interview with the investigators on this case. They were deeply disturbed by these murders and continued to investigate even after her conviction.
    When her husband sold the house and moved out, they got a search warrant and went through the house. They found boxes of the boys photos and toys left behind in the attic. It just makes you wonder what is wrong with that whole family.

      The problem is everyone comes to this conclusion that if Darin is guilty that means Darlie is innocent, and she is not.

      EXACTLY! My mother, and two of my sister lost children, and each of the changed in ways that can't be quantified. I was 5 years old when my 18 year old brother was killed. My mother was a HUSK of a human being for 15 years before I started seeing some of her again. It aged her, it changed her forever, and I was mothered (if you can call it that) by a woman who was angry that she was alive, and who hated and resented the inconvenience of having a small child to look after.
      That's grief. My mother is the strongest woman I've ever known, and it nearly destroyed her.

As I held my beautiful new born baby boy and smelled his sweet little head, and caressed his tiny hands, I finally understood my mother and it helped me heal. Thank you for your compassion.
      I am a pragmatic, unemotional person, and even I can't imagine the pain of losing a child - much less two. Unless Routiere was just straight up psychologically broken, as in experiencing a break in reality, I would not just off-handedly chalk her behavior up to "well, everyone grieves differently. We recently had a mom who hunted down and killed all of her daughter's killers. They ended up killing this Mom because of it. No rage burns hotter than a parent whose child was maliciously murdered and Darlie had 2 little boys that suffered this yet she doesn't have any passion about it?
