He was seeing for the first time how truly handsome he is. What a beautiful specimen.
Nop they have seen themselves before in water, that's why they know its them yet freak out out how since they are unfamiliar with mirror technology.
This lion was sooo smart, the way he kept checking the back, then coming back to the front and then waiting,, love it!!❤️
Smart?

😂. Sooooooooo Smart...😆
hes just curious lmao sorry but his just stupid af
Looks like opposite to most, one time ok, but this guy...
the curious lion
Lion was confused why he saw a lion there but looked behind the board and nothing is there lmao its so cute
What gorgeous animals. Simply stunning
I love how he is actively trying to solve this mystery. I cant imagine how bizzar that must be for them.
@Sanjay Kumar totally bazaar
Probably not really because they also can see their reflection as they drink water often times.
It's all responding to instinct that's all.
@@seltaeb3302 you dont know it.

I think I have never seen such a beautiful lion! His mane is just perfect!!!
they are so cute. i want to give them a big hug.
I love how they look behind, such a great example of the curiosity of cats
Tomcats! Too much testosterone! Cats can count to 5 and recognise themselves in the mirror!
It's not curiosity? It's another lion entering his territory.
No es un gato es un felino
@@marcospark2803 I guess he knew it wasn't another lion and just something animate yet not a living creature because of smell. It probably also realized that it's a human object because the human scent is all over it.
Its so sad they can't see themselves in the reflection
These lion are like: "I don't need sleep! I need answers!"
Fascinating footage. Clever cats. The lion realised how beautiful he was.
Sheesh! I need to know what kind of hair conditioner big boy uses. That mane is beautiful

Omg...I love this. So adorable!! And that percussion.....YES!!!
What a stud of a male lion. Wow 😍
That male Barbary Lion is absolutely stunning!!🦁🦁❤
He's name is Mufasa
@@neemakimani7467 Thank you for telling me his name. So sad there are NO Barbary lions in the wild anymore!!😭🦁💜
he is not a barbar lion
Wow! That was cool to watch! He was determined to figure it out!
It's interesting. If the lions thought there were other ones over there, they would not be so calm. Especially for a male lion, which would become very aggressive when it saw another strange male. So I guess although they didn't know the fact of reflection, they realized, in some degree, such things were not real. They focused on the mystery, not only the reflection.
It gets even more amazing when you compare their reactions to those of a gorilla.
It's like a motherfucker
A reflection is just too much to handle for a lions brain. Traumatized for life and believes in black magic since that day.
Wow this lion is a piece of Art. Best looking lion I've ever seen after mufasa.
This type of lions differs from the rest of the other lions in size, it is the largest in size and the most hairy. It is called the barbarian lion or the Atlantic lion in relation to the Atlas Mountains in North Africa. Its original homeland is North Africa and it lives in the mountains, meaning it tolerates cold and snow more than other lions that live in the savannah in a temperate or sometimes hot climate.
That's Ethiopian 🦁
Neither lion could be majestic like mufasa. Mufasa is my favorite
I've never seen a lion to have his mane grow all the way past his stomach! He's gorgeous/handsome!!
Barbary lion
they are called Barbery Lions (very rare Lion species from North Africa)

@@samidove6476 my great grand father said there was lions in the Algerian forests when he was still young
@@JSB-2Z-2K
Animals move from one place to another, this is normal. But the home of the barbarian lion, as everyone knows it, is the Atlas Mountains. This type of lions does not live in flat forests. Rather, he used to live on the heights of the Atlas Mountains in Morocco. That is why it has dense hair more than other species because it lives in often cold climates. It is called the Atlas Lion because of the place it originated, and the Atlas Mountains are located in Morocco
This lion looks intelligent ..it knows something is seriously mysterious......It is not going insane that another lion is in its territory......
They know it's a reflection after a few seconds, they just don't know how it can be like that, being that is not water, they see their reflection in the water often
Yeah, he would be much more aggressive if he thought it was another male lion. He's mostly just pawing at it like "wtf is this sorcery"
Yeah you talk to them huh? You know how they think lion man😂
Suspicious strangers were spotted

Mystery prevails...
Although it was perceived as threat, so compete precautions are being taken.
But some are now believing one of them has stuck into some kind of trap, female investigators told, we have kept the fear aside and thinking to help him come out of that trap.

Very smart animals. There is defiantly intelligence there. It’s like he’s studying or observing and just kind of putting it all together but he knows that it’s not a threat he definitely knows that. Look at his main it’s not kicked up he’s not aggressive he’s not making any noises and neither are the Lionesses. Yeah there’s definitely some intelligence there.
spelling is soooo important;

vllt. Ist er verwirrt, weil es bisher vllt. Keinen anderen Löwen im Gehege gab :D
I think this is one of the most beautiful lions I've ever seen. For sure the most hairy. So damnately beautiful!
I think it is a type of Barbary lion, native to North Africa, which became extinct in the wild and is now only found in captivity and in zoos.
What a gorgeous lion he is! And such a healthy looking pride.
This particular species of lion doesn't exist in the wild anymore. They were hunted to extinction by European trophy hunters in Africa. They are called Barbary lions. They only exist in captivity.
Thanks for the explanation.@@so9487

That male lion is so cute 😊.
That lion must have been the most popular dude in college
He didn't go to college. He relied on his looks to succeed in life.
Wild lions don't look like this - they have too much fighting to do to protect their offspring and territory.
These parks are of very limited value in terms of wildlife survival.
Wild animals belong in the wild.
We should put our money into protecting wildlife habitats.
@@dukadarodear2176
In wild animals must search food, kill each others or be killed. Isnt much better choice for them to live in parks? Where they always have food.
@@aleksandr8493
These parks are often commercial (and sometimes voluntary) enterprises for the entertainment of urbanised humans.
The animal stock has very little hunting and survival skills and cannot replace the diminishing wild stock.
At least in protected wildlife parks such as Kruger and Sabi Sands (privately owned I think) the animals live and procreate in a wild environment and at the same time are available for viewing.
I think that urgent funding is needed to preserve and expand wild territory and should not be wasted on futureless side shows - not only for lions but for all wild species.
@@dukadarodear2176
But still is it really better for animal to live in wild than in zoo? Im talking only about svereal individuals, not the whole kind. In wild animals every day are afraid to starve if they cannot find food, or to become a prey. In zoo they are spared of such fear and can rest or mate till the end of the life. And for exchange animals in zoo should tolerate people behind the fence who are just watching.... not trying to kill, not trying to harm... just watching. Are you sure this is bad trade for animals?
Im not talking about circuses or bad zoo where animals are treated bad. Only normal ones (which are the most).
Majestic! Gorgeous animals - loving their tiff. [green eyes today]
They sure did recognize themselves somehow. Very intelligent Creatures.
To those that don't know, this is a test of self recognition. Only the most intelligent of animals will realize it's their own reflection and not another animal. Most apes can understand this and even use it to check their teeth and eyes. But I think the lion did show signs of intelligence. He seemed confused, which is more intelligent than if it just attacked the image. He was clearly thinking.
Well at least that shows you don't need to be brilliant to occupy the top spot! 😁
Responding by instinct rather than thinking. He is a slave to his genes as we all are.
Bad mirror though.
Wtf joe.. you think all Animals are stupid? They got more intelligence than you human idiot..

I promise you, you show that mirror, for the first time to a human that has never seen a mirror or his own reflection, would act more confused than this lion.
The lions never thought that there was another make lions there but he was so curiously touching it to find out what it is. Lions are very smart observant with lot of hearts and love.
Humans would run off first then think and come back
So true. I think after a while they’d recognize their friends reflection once the curiosity wares off. Comparing these lions to other creatures, I’d say they rank pretty high!
