Thanks mate, been watching your channel for the last year, always driven or build electric cars but today I bought my first 5th scale 30DNT 29cc truck. You converted me! Let's hope I get on with it! All the best J
@@RCmaxxUK thanks, I will do. I got a kill Switch straight away, the guys at RC Modelz have walked me through it. If there's any chance of some trouble shooting vids are always good to watch. 👊
Just so yall know, im american, and i raced 85cc 2 stroke dirt bikes. Those little motors can pull 250lbs around a motocross track faster than you wouldn’t believe. To have that in an rc car, the p/w ratio is just too crazy, its way too much power.
I will spend and have spent over 5k on one of my Bajas and the twin I have spent 5 even on that. It took me years to build them do to the cost so I got two for show and three to run. I do have thousands n my bashers but only a few haha. This is one expensive hobby but its cheaper that doin drugs and drinking! That part of my life done and resolved 21 years ago next month WHOOOOOOOOOO!
That’s a monster, my ALX 78cc, 71cc and 48cc are crazy fast! Those like me that own the OutLaw Hybrid know how to drive them which is excitingly not easy. Heck I can’t keep my front wheels down on my ALX 71cc Malossi HPI Baja so I’m thinking about putting it back into a hybrid?
Moor Rc quite a lot of the guys I run with are either doing hybrid builds or getting the new outlaw kit. 2 of them I believe will be running this 85cc motor. Myself I also want to do a diy hybrid build. If I get the time. I am not a massive baja fan though.... so the hybrid is appealing.
RC Maxx UK well I have the OutLaw Hybrid, the first OCB hybrid and a DIY Hybrid (that I’m finishing up this week) along with a host of Losi 5ive t’s and HPI Baja’s 5b’s and T’, the OutLaw Hybrid although it’s ‘much heavier’ (mine is 54.3lbs) than a Baja the handling superior. Awesome vids keep up the good work...🏁
very well put joel, I think what some of the commenters who are saying , he cant drive it, whats the point ? etc just don't get it tbh, the whole point is that its something that's built by someone , they created something that's nuts cos that's what they wanted to do, I know arron and he's built some crazy stuff , if I remember right arrons 85 at bashfest was almost out of the box first run, when you build something like this you have to learn how to drive it, that's half the fun of the hobby, also part of the hobby is working out how your gonna build it and how your gonna get it to work, then go back and redo the whole thing to make it better, i'm the same , i'm currently on rebuild number four of my obr 57cc twin powered dragon hammer, new parts , lots of home made parts etc to make it better and faster, a mate of mine told me a twin in a dragon hammer would never work, so that was challenge accepted lol, well, the twin will work in the hammer , but its an ongoing thing, it can always be made to be a better car, or handle better etc etc, don't knock any big power builds till you've tried one, its loadsa fun ,
Sickest 5th scale I've seen!!!! Truely insane, would like to see it on a long straight run. Thanks for the video!! You don't see the big bore in America, not like that!!! Thanks
On a track this small, you don't want so grippy of tires. You want your tires to be able to slide.. Your clutch also needs adjusted its way to tight, you almost seem to have it half throttle before it engages. The only thing your truck is good for at the moment is a straight line.. I've raced 1/10 stadium trucks for 8 years and 1/5 for 3. Fun times!
That's awesome man no matter what the negative comments are i definitely couldn't drive it haha or even think about it my 26cc gas boat is hard enough not huge into cars/buggies yet as my boats cost me enough but I'll definitely check out you're channel more cos what I've seen so far is unreal and would be awesome to see those size engines be available in marine forms i can only wish
Sweeeeeeeeet!! Less traction up front with less input will help the cornering. A bit of tuning and wheel time will make that thing a beast on the track.
Learn how to drive it! Stop making all the excuses under the sun! The tracks not too small, you should be able to adapt to wherever you drive! It is definitely an awesome truck!
I think driving the hybrid on that track would be like trying to drive a top fuel dragster on a NASCAR oval. It's only built for straight line not poor driving skill the car just isn't built for that kind of track.
Still gota hv one! Makes me drool mate! I like the idea of doing 45/50 mph! Then squeezing the trigger and watching the front end come up! I dont now abought you mate! But gives me a bit! of an erection! Or as the say in America morning wood💪 but that.whip is defenetly on my bucket list! Good video again mate keep those 1/5 monsters coming and cant wait to se your new chassi build
muggy maniac 😜👍👍. Yeah it’s a monster. Can’t help but admire it. Hope to do the chassis swap to pro am and n my 5t soon... then I can think about a hybrid build.
Why dont you guys run agressive stagger? 1 inch or more? Would help break the tires loose and even if the front is in the air it will still keep turning.
I understand what you saying mate but the thing will go as hard as how you pull the trigger 😝 yes it might not be fun but that’s how it is with heaps of power and little grip.
Yes that's the fun of it!!!!! Learn how to drive it hell yea!!!!!!!!! You could richen it and get better throttle control still have plenty of power make it smoke would still rip
Lol who ever is driving it is doing just fine. They are simply displaying the power it makes in a track that's too small. Maybe you're still on brushed motors who knows to each their own.
Twin brushed motors would be fine on a track that size but this thing spends most of it's time either doing a wheelie or spinning round in a circle displaying power doesn't usually mean crashing into every other rc and breaking them, I agree with Kallan.
@@tacticalwizard7476 two brushed motors lmao driver is just messing around... did you watch and listen to the video? Just a demonstration enjoy the video.
been out of this game for around five years, but that is bonkers, most definitely a vanity project and fair play indeed, maybe the scale needs to change to quarter scale to truly get the best out of these big bore motors? after all the backbone to these amazing machines seems to be HPI baja or 5T's which lets be honest have been around for years. Time for a different quarter scale platform is required if these motors become the norm.
O and 1 more thing is think that reg. street tirres in the rear or cut the nobs down in the rear would work lots bettter to keep the front end down have more controle
Sorry pal. I've raced on every size and surface track there is. Also had some insanely powerful vehicles. The trigger on your controller is variable speed for a reason. You're doing what's known as a throttle stabbing. I have a 1000hp viper and I can drive it in a parking garage without crashing in to every wall. Here are some tips. Set your brakes, when you let off the throttle to the neutral position brakes apply a bit. Next start going around the track as slow as possible without stopping. Then every 2 laps increases the speed a tiny bit. You can also set your throttle limiter. Basics of r.c racing should watch some videos on throttle and braking strategies.
wayneuk agsin mate. It’s not the point of this car. It’s meant for high speed passes and power wheelies etc... not turns particularly..👍. 5b losi or mcd pro max5 for the twisties for example. This 85 is for straight lines...😜 Though I agree. More weight up front could aid the steering possibly. If that’s what the owner wanted. 👍
na the driver did good but i think you need to put weight in the front of the car su led or sume metal thats small but relly heavy that will help the weight trans
Absolutely nothing but respect for the owner and operator of this BEAST! 👍👍👍
As a rear wheel drive that’s some tricky stuff to control !!
Wicked vid.
sure is mate, cheers ;)

UNRooted RC cool. I hope you enjoy it mate. Make sure you fit a 3rd Chanel remote kill switch. Any advice just ask👌🏼👍

That's really badass keep the dirt flying
Considering its a 85cc 2 wheel drive, i think hes done well keeping it straight on the straight !
q2u2009 I agree mate! He’s done well👍
On what lap did he keep it in a straight line??? Waste of time!!
Drew Willcock 4:10 on ? Got to remember ever tie I turned my front wheels locked on the body causing me to spin out.
85cc was the size of my first dirt bike as a kid
STEVO D 313
It’s bigger than my 50cc moped lol!
😂😂😂👍👍👍good point! Crazy overpowered rc it is for sure.
I bet it was a kx 85... stevo

Badass hybrids best hands down and always will be 4 wheel drive takes the fun out of it all great vid mate

Thanks, Joel. Great info.

Veryyyyyy powerful cart!))))))
Wheelbase .... square.
All power on the rear wheels.

Where to buy such evil wheels ???????
Andrey Bo the wheels themselves are brp super spikes. Rcmax sells them. In the uk at least. 👍
Another nice video Joel 👍🏽

hello such fishing on the back wheels that is incontrolable a monster of 1/5 +1
Ah cool so yeah regarding the clutch you have a solid point 👍
I wish 1/5 scale was as popular here in the U.S. as it is in the U.K. I absolutely love it
Sweeeeeeeeet!!
Less traction up front with less input will help the cornering.
A bit of tuning and wheel time will make that thing a beast on the track.
Let the raging bull on the track, just new to 5th scale, i'd imagine all that power, soo easy to spin out, love the 360 wheelies

so does the nitro fuel keep it from running hot cuz i didnt see a cooing system
That thing is a beast
Anything over 80cc , U should be riding it !!! It a great build tho 👍👍
Hey BRP... why don't you make those 190mm wheels in knobby instead of only super spikes?

Jay dong that was rich testing. Carb factory settings
It’s like 28hp it’s just to powerful.
If I had that thing I would put some paddles on it and take it to the dunes. The roost....my god.
Meby 47,5 mm piston. At the rc Car. Thats dirty i like it.
Just imagine if it was 4 wheel drive, it would be awesome......
yes
That’s the problem though mate. As I say in the video. 4wd drive train likely destroyed in short order by the power
Traction control is a must with this beast!
Where can i get some spike tires like that for my baja?
pointless... you cant even control the damn thing
It's not meant to be controlled, it's a dick extention. Speaking of wich, is that what the girls tell you?
Lol who ever is driving it is doing just fine. They are simply displaying the power it makes in a track that's too small. Maybe you're still on brushed motors who knows to each their own.

Pretty sweet
damn... that thing... just shreds...
Would be awesome if a Losi MTXL could take that kind of power, but I break enough of it with just the stock 29cc lol
I have a hard time controling my 34cc lol I couldn't imagine having a 85cc that is crazyness
That is massive...
That cars hot!
If he had the caterpillar track for the front wheels that would work better it would help to keep front down and steer.
*Alex* V-i-P 😮
awesome!
4.30 mark he got a few good laps
Quick car good on him I say
Maybe a gyro on the steering would help, abit like the tsm on the traxxas's
Wow! that's one expensive toy!!🤣
Demmy Malik it sure is. Mad really😮 but mad fun too!
WoooooooooooW power Full ❗️
Crazy fast
I fully agree. Nice car! But way to small track

Put a fpv camera on it , that would be awesome and easier to control i think
i never knew Bisbing was into RCs ;)

Make it a real hybrid and have gas powered rear with electric front just use a mixer to dial down the fronts power on the controller.
Looks like a small glow motor
Wow.... Hey just crushed all the haters like a gentleman
