The beans look amazing! That's one of my favorite sides for a bbq meal for sure... and kudos from another one-man production company. I recently upgraded my equipment. I replaced a tripod I was using with a new product called the Edelkrone Stand Plus. I also bought their phone clip for when I want to use my phone. This stand allows you to put your camera in a LOT more viewing positions than you can with a tripod.... just some food for thought... great stuff as usual!
Oooh man! Those are some mighty fine smoked baked beans Neal! Awesome recipe too. Love the bacon on the inside and top of course. Those and that potato salad recipe you made! Good eats brother! Nicely done! Cheers bud!
I agree 100% sides are taken for granted with bbq’s. I found a couple recipes I like apple pie baked beans, bbq baked beans(my favorite so far) from how to bbq right. Made them both love them. Was at a smokehouse for dinner once saw smokehouse baked beans and thought yes I’ll have that. I didn’t finish them. They did nothing to them. Dumped them out of a can that’s it. Threw for a loop with the ground beef here, never tried that before but just might now. Keep up the awesome work guys!
Someone has been taking editing tips from Chud's BBQ on the vegetable chopping! The recipe/technique looks great and I'll be trying this next weekend in New Hampshire!
Nice, brother! There are times like Easter and Christmas I have more fun making the sides than the main! These look absolutely phenomenal! I don't actually have a smoker, but a hit of Wright's liquid smoke, and my oven would probably give a subpar but similar result. And, the few videos on my little channel were all done solo (check out my steakhouse night, most views for me although not many) so you're fortunate Amy kills it on her end! Excellent as always!
Boss, my mind is blown. What's left of it anyway. My wife makes killer Beans similar to yours. She adds molasses in hers. The mind blowing thing for me is the meat aspect of the recipe. I have never seen meat (other than bacon of course ) used in baked beans, and I'm old. 😉 As a commenter said, sausage sounds good too 😋. I learn new tips and techniques from you in every video. I thank you for sharing your knowledge with us.
That’s crazy! I just made baked beans for the first time this weekend and felt like it was disappointing that they had to suffer in the oven. While I had a week old pit boss in the garage begging to be used for a second time! Thanks for the recipe and how to!
Def making this soon, gonna throw in some smoked sausage with it too, LOL made the wife watch in preparation! Best get all the complainin out before I mess it up and skip right to I told you so!
Well....to be honest thats not correct either..store bought bacon is cured...and by health department codes only have to be reheated to 165 degrees and does not specify what method...thats important to know because you could boil, sous vide, bake, deep fry etc...and not all those methods would give you a foam indicator.... All this to say it actually depends on how you like your bacon..my wife likes it 100 crispy and #bacondust style...brittle... I can have it any way....no picky hhaahha but foaming is a great indicator that the bacn is close...depending on how done you want it...Hope that helps
You know Neal, everyone seems to start from the Bush's beans. I do as well... I want to challenge you to start with raw pinto beans on v2.0 and go from there!!

Made these for a family whole pig picking yesterday. They were a smash hit. I was told I needed to make the batch larger next time.
Heck yeah....appreciate that..cheers
Drn you got me drooling watching you cook those beans! Nicely done mate!
Thanks bud
Smoked baked beans is the only way we do it in this house. Looks delicious 🤤🤤
You got that right!

Looks absolutely delicious, Neil. This is very close to how I make them. I'm subscribed to your other channel and now to this one. Great video 👍

Nice job Normally do not like bake beans. these look especially great
Holy shit Neil best cook yet! Can't wait to try this!😁

Wow. i will make it in germany. best greetings.

I have a similar recipe but use poblano instead of green bell pepper. Looks great!
Great idea!

Thank you aunt Caroline! At long last :)

Greetings from germany ❤❤
great recipe , I find myself using the same brand of bacon more times than not !!

Absolutely....cheers
I’m not a bean fan, but this dish looks delicious!
Def making this soon, gonna throw in some smoked sausage with it too, LOL made the wife watch in preparation! Best get all the complainin out before I mess it up and skip right to I told you so!
ahahhahaha been there and still do that....thats awesome
Was that an epicurean you were cutting on? If so where did you get it. Thanks.
many places carry em here....the brand is richlite
My mom always put hamburger in her baked beans. She's the only person I ever knew who did that, until this video. :)

Thanks for subbing! Really appreciate that
Correct me if I'm wrong, I saw on a cooking show, when the bacon starts to "foam", @ 2:33, it is done. What is your opinion?

@@PelletsandPits Really appreciate the feedback.
There may be multiple flavors of baked beans, but there's only one brand: Bush's.
Great recipe. I could live off sides alone when they're this good👍😊
You and me both!
You know Neal, everyone seems to start from the Bush's beans. I do as well... I want to challenge you to start with raw pinto beans on v2.0 and go from there!!
I have tried two recipes....either they suck....or just not the same...i can try again...
Next time you make this dish, use pulled pork instead of hamburger. You WON"T be disappointed!
Next time make bake beans try sausage instead of hamburger meat😊
Good idea!!
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Smoked baked beans with ground beef, onions and bacon? Oh hell yes! Too much sugar for me though. But to each his own.
Now that's a real and proper bean casserole, not that fake stuff some call chili .😉
haahhahaha chili has beans...my youngest daughter said chili without beans is just beef soup.....thats a 100 quote from her...hhahaha daddys gril...
