@@mikedownload4029 It’s not a outlandish thought. His PB is 0.12s away from WR. And Lyles is in perfect form rn running 19.5. He knows when to peak. But my first thought is 19.2-19.3.

Since then his 60m PB has increase by 0.12s this year, he just ran an equal PB in the 100m last week 9.83s, and he’s just dropped his fastest 200m before a major champs,19.53s, for reference his best run in 2022 was a 19.61s before he ran 19.31s. Lyles isn’t even at his peak yet, it’s likely he’ll get 19.2-19.31

I do know that running 19.31 is a LOOOOOOONG way from running 19.19. Running 9.83 in the 100m isn't going to get you to 19.19 in the 200m. Lyles lacks the pure speed for 19.19 and the way he's been running, I don't see him running 19.2x. There have been several men faster than Lyles in the 100m and only one of them ran 19.19 in the 200m and he was WAAAAAAAY faster than Lyles in the 100m.
