Marty does look 6 foot 4 and full of muscle he smiles whilst doing his matchbox makeovers and he eats a vegamite sandwich. I love the makeovers reminds me of my childhood playing with all these cars keep up the good work mate.
I thought it would be a shame with no light on top, knowing how nice it was going to turn out, then came the 3D printer parts and a working led light, Magnificent Marty Magnificent!!👏👏👏
It’s always a treat when another episode appears. You are talented, inventive, smart, humorous and a connoisseur of fine dining I must bucket list vegamite to compare it with Marmite ... cheers
@@MartysMatchboxMakeovers No Marty I'm a Canadian living in beautiful Nova Scotia. That fire truck overhaul was one of your best. Love the quality and detail you maintain and the flashing light was genius.
I actually have this fire truck at home. As a kid I removed the hose bed, and I don't remember if the ladder or suction hose was on it at the time or not. I am saddened to learn that replacement parts are unavailable for them. It's a semi-pleasure to see what I might have had if I hadn't been so destructive as a child. Thanks for posting this Marty, you did a great job.
I remember visiting a fire station when I was a young boy in 60's. I saw a similar truck with the most beautiful red paint I had ever seen. This is a great restoration thanks for sharing.
I had that model and kept it through all my other cars along with a BP wrecker & tanker, they were always there to help the careless drivers. Really great job. Hope to see more!
Classic model, I got this one as well in my play worn collection. Cool work again Marty, adding 3D printing and making your own transfers to your skills 😀
That is awesome how you did the flashing light. I have that same model that was trapped in some cement steps for about 20 years. When we found it we couldn't believe how great shape it was in. No corrosion.
The first thing I love in your channel the models you resurrect, second your wacky news man they always kill me and third the jokes you mix while working, I really enjoy your channel man! keep going!
Great work on this fire engine Marty! Your solution for the flashing blue light is very clever. Your craftsmanship continues to improve with every vehicle. I had a fire engine, possibly this same model, when I was a kid, and I loved it.
Super work again, love the dolphin with his new arms, and that fancy brush you found is just right for the job. Regards from Geoff in Northern Ireland 😎🚒🚒
That crack actually makes the window look like it has a post in the middle. I kinda like the effect That sculpt looks rather stunningly detailed, unpainted though. Lights in small cars are always cool and the firetruck is big enough to accommodate that massive battery holder.
I myself couldn't fall asleep tonight. So I thought I would look on UA-cam for any new videos. Imagine my surprise when I find one left on here by Marty! That is awesome. Glad there is a difference in time zones between us. Neat little trick with the LED light on top of the cab. Great job as usual.
I’m the same way. Just stumbled across this through a vague interest in vintage toys and military models. Your videos have this calming zen quality to them and have become my favorite and most effective stress relief. Sent my wife a link and she basically said the same, that she couldn’t stop watching and found the vid very satisfying. Same with my kids who could care less about this kind of thing in general but love watching along with me. I guess you are Australia’s answer to Bob Ross. Btw, this is your best work so far. Both from a technique standpoint and the general ‘Martyness’ of it. Thanks so much!!!!
I have been watching your channel for about 6 mths and you have given great insight,, and you have developed new techniques,,, you keep improving your approach to this hobby ,, well done!! Darran
REALLY NICE JOB MARTY ,I HAVE WATCHED SOME OTHERS ON HERE AND IT SEEMS YOU HAVE SET THE BAR ON HOW TO GET THE JOB DONE PROPERLY,OTHERS SEEM TO MENTION A CERTAIN AUSTRALIAN BLOKE THEY'VE WATCHED AND WE ALL KNOW IT'S YOU.CAN'T WAIT FOR NEXT RESTORATION.
Yeah I gently and carefully tried to remove the rear plastic part......thing still snapped! 😖 Only guess is it was too brittle or something, or I wasn’t careful enough Great makeovers and keep them up, thanks for inspiring a new hobby Marty!
Total Awesomeness

Another super restoration finished with excellent results.Good work Marty!
I like how the crack in the window ended up giving it a split window look at the end. x)
Great job. As a Matchbox fan and a retired firefighter I loved this restoration. Especially the light installation.

Nice job mate! I am fairly certain I owned this as a child, roughly 50 years ago. Brought back a lot of memories....thank you!
The light is pure genius!
The first thing I love in your channel the models you resurrect, second your wacky news man they always kill me and third the jokes you mix while working, I really enjoy your channel man! keep going!
