That is awesome how you did the flashing light. I have that same model that was trapped in some cement steps for about 20 years. When we found it we couldn't believe how great shape it was in. No corrosion.

That crack actually makes the window look like it has a post in the middle.
    I kinda like the effect
That sculpt looks rather stunningly detailed, unpainted though.
Lights in small cars are always cool and the firetruck is big enough to accommodate that massive battery holder.

I actually have this fire truck at home. As a kid I removed the hose bed, and I don't remember if the ladder or suction hose was on it at the time or not. I am saddened to learn that replacement parts are unavailable for them. It's a semi-pleasure to see what I might have had if I hadn't been so destructive as a child. Thanks for posting this Marty, you did a great job.

For my wife on one birthday a few years ago, I bought her a model of her favorite dream car of all time, an Aston Martin DB7 Vantage V12 in mendip blue (the same car used in the Johnny English films)..... then took her to a "private" showroom to allow her to drive one, she was so happy about that UNTIL, the car dealer refused to take the keys back and I told her it was her car. Good job the Aston Martin workshop where the car was first built and now serviced regularly is only ten miles from us, and they always invite us to their functions and car releases, the present that keeps giving.
This Christmas, she is getting a Corgi Hillman Imp in racing green that I have refurbished (your fault Marty !), We had that car when we were first dating 38 years ago.
Perhaps she might forgive me for stealing the tweezers, toothbrush and now the other brushes. No chance of her buying my favorite car for me, a corvette sting ray !
