I think it turned out awesome 😎.. I'm not usually into normal restos.. but, in all honesty.. I come back for you. I love your personality.. it reminds me of my friends and I back in Vancouver BC 🇨🇦 I always look forward to your videos.
I really like the snake decal for its hediousness!! Maybe a Shelby Cobra somethin’ somethin’. The Piston Popper didnt disappoint! One of my favorite castings, good job!!
What an awesome color. It was like that blueish silver was cool then the pink was really cool and then the purple omg then a couple more coats bam!! I remember having this car what a throw back in my memory banks. 👍❤️
Excited to see that piston popper, yet so very sad, i had 2 of those Mustangs as a kid, i still have 1 left, but it's in a extremely poor condition. Unfortunately i was hard on my toys, most of my Hotwheels/Matchbox cars i destroyed, fire crackers. Gasoline, and a hammer lol. No wonder i ended up a Demolition Derby Driver. I have a few derby videos on my channel if anybody wants to take a peek, anyhoo, thanks for the awesome content, keep up the great work, all the best for 2022. Love from Australia.
I still have my Piston Popper from when I was a kid, and it's still pretty minty. That's probably the best one I've seen, other restorers have tried to revive them, but they always get the color off. But that paint looks exactly right, and glossier than they ever were. 10/10.
Woohoo another 70's Matchbox getting the treatment! I really like this group of castings, Boss Mustang, IMSA Mustang, Piston Popper and Vantastic. I've even combined the Vantastic casting with the Piston Popper engine to make a Pistastic... Also should tell you that Kenner Fast 111s King Cobra actually became a Matchbox casting, the #74 Mustang GT. I have a spare Matchbox in my customising box but I'd love to find a Kenner version too.
WOW WOW WOW . Awesome work . I also have one , in a number 5 condition with all the wheels on it since I was a kid . Great work as always , AWESOMENESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS........................ Mike .
Amazing work AGAIN! I was so worried that you were gonna add another coat of blue but you proved me wrong. I thought it looked really wild with just one coat but I know that wasn't what you were going for. Keep up the great content!
Damn! Stunning! I wish they'd make some reissues of these more wacky gimmick cars. Such a nostalgic rush! Also, that green fox body looks like it's a Kenner Fast 111's. Would be great if you could recreate the little licence plate sticker too.
That lil Piston Popper turned out delicious. Love the lighting and grill treatment. Just the right amount of custom work to really set it off. Cheers, Michael in Toronto.
Funny. I just finished responding to you on K2500 episode about my thing for 1:1 scale Mustangs and then what's the next thing I found in my notifications was this episode the 1971 -1973ish Mustang popper. Excellent job all around. The paint was really good and the grill and rear end was stunning.
Damn Austin. Damn it again. One of my all-time favorite matchbox. And on the top of that, you've treated it with such a great respect. Even authentic to the real paint (pink layer at the bottom). It's so good to see that someone gives so much love to these awesome engineering creations. Bro you deserve the crown of the diecasters. You are the KING in my eyes. For the CPR Mustang you should redo the snake, but in a funny way, just like in case of Mike Tysons's van. Have fun with it, make a joke out of the whole episode. You are a great entertainer. Thanks for the effort man. Cheers
What's up with the counter on the side of the screen? 1 and 2? Editing error or am I missing something? Love your videos and have been watching for years!
I didn't think the purple was going to work until it did! Beautiful as always, you are the paint master! I've been playing around with the liquid chrome pens, and I also found that an extremely heavy coat will get you that "factory fresh" look. I would absolutely turn the super snake into a cobra!
Had a few Rolamatics back in the day, including a yellow Piston Popper. Always appreciated the extra play value they provided 😊 Had that Fast-111s King Cobra too, but in silver. Awesome restoration (as always! 😉) looking forward to the Cobra video 😎👍
Beautiful!!!!! I love my mustangs. I had a 1970 Boss 302 that got hit by a Dump Truck. Insurance Company would not let me buy it back after they totaled it. It was a Champagne Gold Edition. Dang I miss that car.
Hey Hey its me, how is your week going so far? Hope you like my Piston Popper ;) DAMMIT I TOTALLY MISSED THOSE NUMBERS IN EDITING!!! Clink 🍺🍺
I think it turned out awesome 😎.. I'm not usually into normal restos.. but, in all honesty.. I come back for you. I love your personality.. it reminds me of my friends and I back in Vancouver BC 🇨🇦
I always look forward to your videos.
Beautiful! I was hoping for a demo of those popping pistons 😀
Same!!!
We'll never know if you got them pistons a-poppin'.😒
No Snake on that Foxbody. Maybe do the Pacecar?
Racing Strips the "Snake" looks like a worm.
I still have an orange Sunkist piston popper.
I like the color with just the base silver, sparkles and the pink.
Yea its like the pink version of that matchbox green finish we did the other day.
The" cobra" snake
I had a rolla-matic.
I had the yellow Ford pick-up that had the lion that walked in circles in the bed.
Use a Carroll Shelby snake logo.
Heck yeah! PIMP! On the "Snake," stay with the same idea, but with a masterful snake design ...
Wow, that car brings me back to my childhood.
Had a green one when I was a child! Always liked that style of Mustang!
Stunning Piston Popper Mustang Ace , that paint job came out first class 👏 👍 👌.....
I really like the snake decal for its hediousness!! Maybe a Shelby Cobra somethin’ somethin’. The Piston Popper didnt disappoint! One of my favorite castings, good job!!
The paint job is fantastic, but the showstopper for me was the engine restoration. Wow! Looks mint!
Keep the snake! It's adorable on there. It appears that I'm outnumbered in voting to keep it though. Haha
lol i don't this cause its "adorable" is going to convince me !!!
NO SNAKE!!!!! Stocker Cobra!
That looks so much better than the original. As usual right out of the ball park
I loved that one when I was a kid hard to find these days
I think the Snake would make a sweet rally car!
I still have a orange crush version of this car. Great job with the restoration. 👍👍👍
Those taillights were the bomb!
Wow! This one turned out insane! From the base details all the way down to the paint job. Beautiful!
This car is a BEAST
LOVE the color.
These videos NEVER DISAPPOINT!!!
Still love this mustang, it is a trophy in my case of mustangs. The paint/body work is so well done!
Fantastic!! Beautiful color!
That turned out amazing Austin...you smashed that!!!
Came out nice, I did kinda like the pink before you sprayed the blue on it too
I had one of these as a kid. Only ever saw them in that original royal blue.
I love the finished 2022 model!
What an awesome color. It was like that blueish silver was cool then the pink was really cool and then the purple omg then a couple more coats bam!!
I remember having this car what a throw back in my memory banks. 👍❤️
Blue and white on that fox body! The original Shelby color schemes on a Fox body has always been nice.
Edit: It's always nice on any Cobra or Mustang.
You are a Master on the airbrush! A beauty, one of my favorites. Thanks!
That is some sweet paint my friend!!
Beautiful paint color. Good job.
You are a wizard man. Your paint jobs are the best!
Dayum, looks fantastic!
i love that beetle paint job

Nice build, details and paint job 👍👍
Looks better than it ever has! What a gorgeous restoration. 💯 😎
The molotow sprays really nice through the air brush. Just putting it out in the universe

I like the idea of doing the stripes on the fox body. The snake is rad but your paint jobs are killer. Popper is exhibit A.
Mike .
The tail lights look great 👍 altogether job well done
I like the detaily bits on that.
Good steady hand to pull that off.
The secret is whiskey..
Also the secret of how to have random numbers in your video is.. whiskey.
@@DiecastResurrection lol. That's my secret
Greetings once again from South Africa…..that one turned out great, thanks
You could say that this restoration is... Poppin'.
Thanks for being a regular here in the comments bro
@@DiecastResurrection you bet

Man that is super sweet!!
That poppers killer dude , you always amaze with your pair jobs an mixing to get great shades
Beautiful job, it looks fantastic. I really like your restorations of the Lesney Matchbox Superfast models.
Stunning ! 👍🏁 😃
This came out amazing! I was worried about the color when you originally sprayed it, but it dried perfectly to almost the original color. Great job!
That's a real nice paint job and you did the details perfect. Great restore!
it's beautiful.. my god it's sooo beautiful
Wow nice job brother haven't seen one of them in 45+ yrs 👍🥃✌
Amazing work AGAIN! I was so worried that you were gonna add another coat of blue but you proved me wrong. I thought it looked really wild with just one coat but I know that wasn't what you were going for. Keep up the great content!
I absolutely love that one. The Mach I is my fav and you did it proud. Great stuff man! Peace.
Beautiful restoration absolutely love it. Thank 😊 you
Looks fantastic! I have a piston popper on the shelf in need of some TLC.
Loving the Hot Wheels and Matchbox restorations.
Damn! Stunning! I wish they'd make some reissues of these more wacky gimmick cars. Such a nostalgic rush! Also, that green fox body looks like it's a Kenner Fast 111's. Would be great if you could recreate the little licence plate sticker too.
That color reminds me of Ford's Sonic Blue they used on the early 2000 mustangs.
Totally dig on the paint.... KILLER
Keep the snake. Gives it character
loved this casting, wish i still had mine
Nailed the color! Very very cool. Nice restoration+
Definitely do a fox body cobra!!!
Pimp!! You should do that Green cobra in a black and gold stripes.
Stunningly beautiful, really great work!
Great restoration. Def think you should do the cobra w stripes on the foxbody.
Great video. I love the details you painted and I love the color.
Great job! I love the paint. It really looks custom. The detailing sets the bar just that much higher. Thanks for another spot on resurrection.
That lil Piston Popper turned out delicious. Love the lighting and grill treatment. Just the right amount of custom work to really set it off. Cheers, Michael in Toronto.

Looks real good 👍🏻 do a cobra job and no snake on the foxbody
Damn Austin. Damn it again. One of my all-time favorite matchbox. And on the top of that, you've treated it with such a great respect. Even authentic to the real paint (pink layer at the bottom). Thanks for the effort man. Cheers
that looks awesome, I am a big fan of the 70's Mach 1 and have several piston poppers. looks way better than new. thanks for sharing
What's up with the counter on the side of the screen? 1 and 2? Editing error or am I missing something? Love your videos and have been watching for years!
Total editing error I didn't see it until after you guys did. 😒😒
Since the fox body casting is a 4 eye. You should do a king cobra. You should check out the factory decals. They're pretty rad. 😎
I didn't think the purple was going to work until it did! Beautiful as always, you are the paint master!
I've been playing around with the liquid chrome pens, and I also found that an extremely heavy coat will get you that "factory fresh" look.
I would absolutely turn the super snake into a cobra!
Very nice work as always Lee
Had a few Rolamatics back in the day, including a yellow Piston Popper. Always appreciated the extra play value they provided 😊 Had that Fast-111s King Cobra too, but in silver. Awesome restoration (as always! 😉) looking forward to the Cobra video 😎👍
Beautiful colour!
The green car would make a good mad Max interceptor.
Love the very fine details, not to mention the scrumptious colour!
Is there Piston-Poppin' races yet? Wow, those taillights are Pimp!!
Turned out very nice.
great job austin
Nice paint job
Love that color.
Always enjoy your videos, some several times and this car is no different great job.
Be cool seeing your own custom snake on the fox body
Beautiful!!!!! I love my mustangs. I had a 1970 Boss 302 that got hit by a Dump Truck. Insurance Company would not let me buy it back after they totaled it. It was a Champagne Gold Edition. Dang I miss that car.
Awesome work bro,very nice
One of your best yet
Beautiful car love the color
I did have the same exact car!!! Looks awsome!!! Thanks!
Beautiful detail 😍
I have that green mustang. I'd love to see it restored.
I have one of these, in good condition.
Great restore, man.
