That tune-up race must give some of confidence! But yes, with the full marathon you never know except that the final quarter is going to be tough no matter the shape you are in 😄. Just a question. You said 60 miles a week is still a little light for where you are in your training. How much miles a week do you think would be appropiate when training for a sub-3?
Anything can happen in the last 10k. And I think 60 miles a week is good for a sub-3. My training week was light compared to where it should’ve been as I am hovering around 70 mpw at peak. Nothing major, just wanted to make a note of it in the recap.
Josh the fitness is their. You just need to execute the plan and pray for good weather. Start practicing race day routine. Sleep, breakfast and running at the start time. You showed great discipline. I’m guessing you’re in 1:25-26 half shape.
Feels like it’s almost time for Philly! All the summer runs we suffered through, let’s gooooo
It’s almost time!!!
You doing one last long run before the taper? Im planning 20 with maybe 13 of them at MP
Great job! Detroit was my first marathon this year. What an amazing experience! Good luck!
That’s great! Congrats on your first marathon!!!
Sounds like the training is on track. I am the official 3 hour pacer at Philly, so I'll see you out there! Let's go get that sub 3!
Excited to run with you! Let’s get it!!!
Those cars were flying by. Bump that. Good recap!
Zooming by. And thank you!
Sub 3 for me this weekend. I’m feeling like 2:55 is more realistic but I’m going to take it conservatively for the first 15 miles
That’s a smart strategy. Good luck!!!

It's so easy to miss a gel time. Ive done it a few times
Very true! I usually don’t miss gels but this time was surprisingly easy. Glad it was in my tune up race and not my main race.
But did you find Des?
Nope 😂
