It absolutely floors me that People think making over 3,000 HP on a cast block is easy. Let alone reliable. Literally at the limit of a cast block. As Greg said, they’re pushing the limits. The weak spots will make themselves known and quiet obviously have. This is how improvements are made. Gotta break stuff to figure out the weak spots. Ya just work through them 1 by 1. When stuff stops breaking, ya start turning it back up until it starts breaking again. Rinse and repeat… People that hate can’t do what these guys are doing. Props Greg and silent Mike! You guys have built some ridiculous machines!!!
You know... i just want 1k to 1.5k hp... at least I know I have a safety factor of 2 thanks to these two guys!
@@persistentwind just use good quality parts… For example Conn rods, minimum of Wagler Street fighters. Get a good tune, even the best engine or transmission won’t survive a bad tune even at lower HP numbers.
Not diesel, but the Coyote has been proven (winning overall Sick Week, Tx2k24, Import vs Domestic) to hold 3,000 + and runs 6.2s @ 228 mph. The oe crank is flexing at this point. Truly remarkable what these guys do pushing the boundaries.

@nickwalston1322 hell yeah they are. Micheal is the man. Whenever the truck goes down or has an issue I always feel bad for Micheal cause he puts his everything into the 05. I know he understands that things are gonna happen and break and whatnot. But the countless hours he pours into it have to hurt a little. And that rail, man it takes balls to pilot that thing at 200+.
Been watching Greg’s videos since the old days in the drive way and seeing his team work on the truck in person was beautiful to see, I always wanted to come see Greg at UCC and was totally worth the drive and also talking to Greg, keep it up Greg and keep being humble 😊
Congratulations boys 🎉 what a beautiful journey. It has been insane watching the both of you over the past 5+ years. Greg I wish some things would have gone a little differently for the 05. But regardless of the unfortunate series of events with the og 05. You and Michael have surpassed the impossible. My hat is off to the both of you, Michael I know you would never take all the credit for your build. But I just love the fact that you built that rail with your own 2 hands and a dream. This has taken you what I'm sure feel like an eternity. But for one man who is not a multi millionaire with no budget, but rather someone that I consider to be more of a regular guy with financial limitations just like the rest of us. For you to do what you have done is for me so humbling. I couldn't think of any other person who deserves this more than you. Your a true joy to watch work. By far the highest prestige of craftsman ship and fabrication in the industry in my personal opinion. Greg is truly blessed to have you in his corner. You are a true friend with a heart filled with kindness and love who has simply taken Greg's builds to a level of perfection quality that is a work of art.. keep it up please. You both are my motivational influencers that help enthusiasts such as my self to never stop learning and most important never give up. If you want something and you tell yourself that you are going to achieve your goal, you can and will dream big and never give up.

What’s impressive is watching the early videos of Greg A from where he started to where he is today and the vision he has had to grow his company, his team, his strategy and see the results. It’s been an amazing puzzle to watch him and Michael put together and they have results!

Greg’s was the best dyno run of the whole event, made great numbers. And had all the carnage. When your pushing huge monstrosities of boost, and pushing the timing envelope, then add nitrous shit can get real. But my vote for the best dyno run went to Greg.
All the haters on the couch at home just wish they could do that to their truck.
Despite the carnage of the 05 and the unsatisfactory results in the event for Greg. You can't help but be inspired by not only Greg but Mike and the whole team. I honestly do not think there is another group of guys out there dedicated and working as hard as these guys. Its almost unreal to watch. From the 05 sitting in a mess on the dyno to Michael setting another world record on the same day, its a crazy run and I'm glad I can witness it. The dedication and drive you guys have to be the best of the best in this industry is a story in itself. Keep it up, all the way to the top.

The engine locking and the momentum of the dyno rollers ripping the tires was my best guess. If you can determine a cause , let us know. Pushing the envelope , things are going to go wrong. The worst is not having enough evidence left to learn anything from , so all loss , no gain. The tarp setup looked phenomenal. Congratulations Michael 👍
The new turbo setup was probably the issue. The tires blew because the engine siezed then the tires went because the tires wwere stopped and the drum was still spinning.
Congrats to you GregA for busting your ass and definitely not giving in and a very special congratulations to Michael for being the fastest ninja on the planet

I remember back 6 or 7 years ago now watching this exact truck if im not mistaken blow a turbo apart on the dyno in PA, absolutely amazing seeing how far its come how much work y'all have put in, hope I can watch it again in person at some point 🤙

Looked like a power/ground issue to the injectors. and/or a over all voltage drop. Data could show a fluctuation in rail pressure when the engine was puffing. It may be hard to see with how fast the fluctuations happen
It's probably time to go 16V for the ecm/nitrous

At about 35:00 he's talking dyno drum not stopping and the wheels rolling against them (sans tires) & the noise it produced...with that noise, I thought he busted a driveshaft.
The engine studdered then it let go. I think #6 missed at high rpm then the rod cap lifted due to loss of cylinder pressure.

2 things I don't understand. Cracked block on what looks like #6 cylinder region on engine 1 thats been used for a while causes them to put in the backup motor, to then have the backup engine break in the same region on its first run under full power. Im guessing here but I feel the sheer weight of those turbos on that side of the engine along with boost pressures/ v bands (no give) is what I feel is stressing the block to break in that area. Also the dyno operator should be in the passenger seat both doors closed every-time that things going. Looks so stupid seeing him jump into the lap of the driver during every run like why not just make the cord for the controller longer so that everyone can be safe. (We're all stupid to some degree)
