This video is excellent! I bought the mentioned paper, followed his directions exactly and it worked perfectly. I used size 8 font to fit the spaces on small lures and typed the labels into an Excel spreadsheet to fill the page before printing. Used exact same clear spray with 3 coats. Greatly appreciate this tutorial!
This is awesome! Opens up so much potential considering I'm useless with a air Bush but pretty solid with photoshop! Thanks man!!!
I Am glad you threw in the craw pattern schemes thats badass trick to make a custom look crisp with alot less time. Iv been air brushing baits for 10 year you names it if tried an painted it by hand an sign it with a sharpie but i like the whole deal man great video thanks for sharing always learning
Nice to see you doing a updated version even though it's the same process! It's good for the new subscribers! As for me I still enjoy watching it even though I seen it awhile back!
Yep! Wanted to explain it a little better 👌
Love it man! I started using this technique a couple months back thanks to you.
killer video bud keep them all up
Awesome I really like that pattern and colors
Thanks I am just starting. your video was great for a begiining builder.
I'm going to try this they look great with the water decal.
Just tried them out. You made it look easy! Lol. They look cool tho! Thanks for making them available.
Extremely useful video thank you!
Hey man, this is a couple of years old obviously, but I wanted to recommend you try out Mark Softer and Mark Setter both by Mr. Hobby. I use them a lot in building model kits and they're incredibly good tools to have for water slide decals. Mark Softer limbers up the decal and makes it dig into the crevices on the surface so you can more easily wrap it around uneven surfaces. Mark Setter, used after, partly dissolves the decal in a way that physically bonds it to the material, keeping it flat and removing lots of the border where the paper stops and the plastic/paint starts.
Got to give this a try thanks for the idea great video
I’m going to download it and try it out
Have ever tried a product called Solvaset? It's made for water transfer decals and I used it on all of my decals back when I built scale models. After your decals is dry, apply solvaset and it will make the decals "melt" over and around bumps and details. It also makes the clear backing all but disappear.
So happy you mute the hair dryer. Some don't and it's really loud haha. Great video! You make it look effortless but it takes skill.
Yes! Thank you haha
Hi, Just recently joined your channel and you have inspired me to make my own. You also need a sponsorship from Revlon Hairdryers
Great video
Thank you!
Those look killer
Thank you! 👍
I painted that same blue and added your decal to it
Great video, thanks for sharing this! I just found your channel and immediately subbed. I'm fairly new to air brushing and lure making and have already learned a few cool new techniques from your videos. Do you plan to make any more of these waterslide patterns? Thanks and keep the great videos coming!
Thank ya for the comment! And yes, definitely going to have some more of the water slide patterns 👍
Great Job.. i am very keen on starting to build my own lures but got tons of questions if you can answer them it would be awesome
cool as, reminds me of when i was way younger you could buy bubble gum that come with designs like this to put on your self, "skin", cool as
Haha that brings back some old memories!
Did you uv coat these? I use diamond coat and am noticing that if I don’t let the decal dry for a few hours, the diamond coat will bubble up around the decal. Great job! And thanks for the free downloads! I will go and check that out!
Hi Zak love the channel. I have been inspired by your videos and I will hopefully be purchasing an airbrush soon. I have lots of ideas but after seeing your logo video I was wondering can you print in colour on the clear water slide paper or just b&w?
Absolutely! As long as your printer can print color haha 👍
Another fantastic video. Curious if you’ll be making more printable patterns. I’d love love some sized for Dinger 2.5 squarebill and Dinger New Years. I’ve tried resizing your 1.5 with nothing but frustration. 😂
Absolutely! I got a few more. And Maybe I will try getting a few different sizes made too ✌️
Do you peel the clear sheet off after the pattern were on the lures ...thanks
What colors did you use on these baits? Is there is video on them?
Printing the logo in a light blue will almost be as good as white.
Could you do some new lure builds?
Which ink jet printer do you use?
What are the dimensions of you bakerbuilds logo
Just came across your canal where do you get your you’re 1.5 square bill blanks from I have been looking but can’t find any thing I like
Check out Barlow’s Tackle! I get 99% of mine from them. Here’s the link 🤙

Hi Jack, I’m a subscriber of your channel I just started a UA-cam channel on Spanish on how paint Lures do you mind if I share your crawfish template you are a cool humble person I learned a lot from you thank you I will mention you in my videos and will put a link to be safe and take care
Great video, thank you! Why isn’it it possible to use laser transparent paper?
I believe it’s due to the laser printer heating up to apply the ink. I think the temperature from the printer messes with the glue adhesive. I haven’t personally tried it but they say only to use the inkjet 👍
@@BakerBuilds ok! Who is « they » btw?
@@Kevinob the instructions that came with the paper 👍
Also do you seal it after you put the pattern on to keep it on there or does it stay after it dries??
I do my final clear coat to protect everything but nothing between the two 👌
I love your videos! I am new to airbrushing. Do you thin your paints? What psi? Thanks
Thank you! 90% of the time I do not thin my paints. If I do, it’s with a little water. PSI is around 35-40 👍
@@BakerBuilds If I can ask a follow up question, what size needle do you use. I am using a 0.3 needle (vivohome) and I seem to be having flow issues.
@@macsmith2092 mine is an Iwata and it’s the 0.35 needle. What PSI are you running at?
@@BakerBuilds Well I have my regulator set at 45 PSI, but as soon as I start spraying with the airbrush the pressure drops to the high 20s. I am starting to think my compressor is weak.
Do you clear coat it again after you do the transfer with the decal
I do a final coat with either Alumi-UV or with a two part resin 👍
Hi, do we need to add another clear coat after sticking the decals to the lure body? So as to protect the decals?
Absolutely! You will want a two part epoxy or some sort of thicker clear coat to help protect the paint. I have a video on the clear coat I use 👍
@@BakerBuilds Thanks mate 😀
Did you make that bait clamp? That’s super genius so looks so much easier than holding it with clips and air brushing your hand accidentally 😂😬
Danielle Delk They are called helping hands, I get mine at Harbor Freight. I’m sure the internet has them somewhere as well haha 👍
Baker Builds I’ve never heard of that lol good to know! Thank ya!
I wonder how the white background would be with logos/pictures that have white in them
Might look good! As long as you cut it out nice 👍
Baker Builds yeah, I might have to order some with the white background to try
Northfork Fishing12 let me know how it works!
What kind of tweezers are those?
They are ceramic tweezers, I think they are meant for working on computers or something. Not exactly sure how I ended up with them but they have a new life now haha
Do you ship to Canada
Hi there, im in South Africa , here you get decal transfer paper that transparent and then you get transfer paper thats white, dont know if that would help you
I want to buy stuff but I can’t
