Mr Zelner must have tons of patience and understanding for not firing Rachel after Joey angrily confronted him.
Later on he also accommodated Ross' demand to keep Rachel employed there despite him having fired her.
He must have a lot of patience for hiring Rachel in the first place after she kissed him, touched him inappropriately and later claimed he was hitting on her at the interview.

@DateMike22 - You missed the point of the scene: there was no "truth" for Rachel to tell Joey. She felt she had to make up a problem and ask him to help her with it so that Joey would feel like he was a real and good friend to Rachel.
@@robinhallett-yc3hw Plus Monica put Rachel on the spot. She was the one who suggested Rachel make up a problem, started the conversation telling Joey Rachel had a problem she needed help with and then left Rachel alone to continue (which is when this scene starts), but Rachel wasn't prepared and had to come up with a problem on the spot, so this happened lol
This reminds me of the scene when Chandler had to justify why he had woman's stuff and Joey said he thought he just hooked up with a woman while Chandler made it more complex 😂

It bothers me that Rachel never pays for her actions and this is one example. Lying to her friend and somehow not getting in trouble at work.
I get the joke behind it but she should’ve at least had to confront lying to Joey. Instead she deflected like she always does.
She does later on when she gets fired. Zelner made her sit through a 40 minute meeting of why she "wasn't a team player".

Cry about it and try coping, also it's obv you haven't watched the show cuz she did gets fired later, Rachel is an amazing, iconic, beloved, popular, multiple award winning character played by Jennifer Aniston so go also deal with this fact lol 😂
It's a show and these are characters, each character has a different outcome of their actions which goes to build their very character. Even ross is faulty, he is socially awkward and embarrasses people he is with, but I don't see u crying about that@@jessedellross3245
Monica was the one who told her to lie and make up a work problem though. It was also Monica who put her on the spot to come up with a lie that very moment. Right before this scene started, Monica had told Joey that Rachel had a work problem that she needed help with and then left Rachel alone with Joey to figure out a lie on the spot, Rachel wasn't prepared, that's why the lie was so bad.
