Honestly, I hate Rachel because I met someone toxic in a similar way just not to that extent. And whenever I see this kind of person, it makes me sick.
Ngl, I hate when people call Ross the bad guy and Rachel the good guy. To me the roles are opposite. Some examples of Rachel being a demon are.
1) she litterly only wants Ross when his dating someone else
2) she sabotages all of his relationships so only they can be together. Even though she’s the one that ends it most of the time.
3) the list thing, like omg who the hell cares. He choose you, you got flaws, he loves you for then move on.
4) that time Ross had an important speech to give and she decided to legit be a child and throw a tantrum (5 minutes before they had to go, mind you) just because he asked her to hurry up (after they only had about 10 minutes left)
5) she broke up with him, got mad that he slept with someone else and brought that up after every argument.
Etc.
Yeah she broke up with him yet she’s jealous he moves on and actually sabotages him multiple times

I seriously will never understand how so many people pretend Ross and Rachel were not horribly toxic when it came to the romantic side of things between the two of them.

But anyway back to the original topic….you’ve got zero right….absolutely zero… to sabotage or interfere with your ex’s attempts to move on with their life and find love and happiness again. Even less so, a sub-zero right, if you were the one who ended things. You’re jealous of your ex being with someone else, then tell them so and get back with them. Otherwise, back off.
It’s not a huge issue in friends because it’s a comedy and the ridiculous stuff they do is for the plot, but people do that shit in real life. It’s fucked up.

so Phoebe was definitely answering that, how can Rachel remember Bonnie from the party.
(if Rachel didn't interrupt her, she might have continued with something like "blue shirt, pineapple pizza, something" and noone would expect Bonnie to actually wear blue shirt or order pineapple pizza on the date with Ross).
Of course, given Rachel's reaction, Phoebe might have realised that Rachel is okey with that date just because she thinks Bonnie is still bald...
But of course, it's a TV show, it's supposed to be funny :)
But also, Phoebe's talk to Rachel at the end was nice and deep.
Phoebe has two settings:
1. The wise, caring, levelheaded and firm older sister of the group
2. The bubbly, carefree, innocent and absentminded youngest child of the group

And a third setting, where she’s kind of messy with a slight mean streak. The time when she planted the insecurity in chandler, because she mentioned monica really wanted joey, and the time when she made the big deal about the massage place with rachel. There were more episodes too where she was messy af, but overall shes a good friend, i just think sometimes does things that are not helpful either.

And because Friends has continuing storylines it's kinda hard to ignore from a story perspective. Just as well Rachel isn't even that funny in the show to begin with.

This is something I really hated about Rachel. When Ross is available she goes chasing some Chad or Tyrone, when Ross was with someone else, then she suddenly wanted him. Don’t know if the show runners did this accidentally or not, but Rachel is the perfect case of having her cake and eating it mentality.

Rachel really did badly on this one, especially compared to the fact that Ross accepted her moving on when she dated Mark. She demanded something from Ross that even she couldn't do herself. The first time Ross started getting over the breakup, she came in and sabotaged it. Her whole action against Bonnie was really wrong, really selfish. After the discussion of the letter, it only gets worse.

Phoebe is such a saint! Out of all of the friends, I think I would get along with her the best. She’s a genuinely good person who tries to help her friends out anyway she can.
she's also one of the worst friends there. Makes rachel tear up a ticket/coupon for a massage when she works there, berates ross because he told her that a cat was not her mum, makes a huge deal about donating the wedding money to charity then doesn't go through with it

You know the thought occurs; though Ross can get insanely jealous and have issues letting go in a relationship, it's not only when there usually was a relationship but there's also a reason WHY Ross is so jealous and paranoid about such things; because he was cheated on and had his heart broken by Carol aka someone he really loved. Arguably until she started with Ross, Rachel has never really been put in that so when she acts paranoid and jealous over Ross after he finds happiness with someone else it does feel more petty on her end. I guess you could argue that she feels Ross cheated on her first but even if you do believe that, she didn't have the time spent in a relationship and it ended sourly anyway more so then Ross and Carol so again feels like Rachel is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy more petty about this then Ross ever was yet never gets nearly called out about it even in bits like this.
If I'm correct both Rachel and Ross had a previous love interest cheat on them plus it's revealed in another episode that Rachel knows why Ross is so suspicious when it comes to his relationships yet doesn't give his feelings the understanding they deserve

Rachel was an awful, horrible person and the worst character on the show, and deserved all the bad that happened to her and more! Period! Here, she displays her typical egoism, toxicity, cruelty, and entitlement! She was awfully jealous of every single girl who got close to Ross, ruined all his relationships, and was way more toxic to him than he was to her.
Rachel gave Ross and Julie bad sex advice to break them up, called Julie ugly slurs behind her back, wanted to ruin her appearance so she gave Phoebe false instructions on how to ruin Julie's hair, and finally, Rachel had no problem kissing Ross when he was with Julie, so clearly cheating was not a problem when the guy was cheating with her lol
Rachel also insulted Bonnie behind her back even tho she didn't know her, and ruined Bonnie's appearance just like she did with Julie, but what is worse, and never talked about in the context of Bonnie's and Ross' relationship, is how Rachel started openly flirting with Ross in the beach house! When Monica actually was the one showing concern about how Rachel could behave awfully this way, Rachel admitted to Monica in the beach house that she doesn't care if Bonnie is Ross' current girlfriend, she had the whole plan to get him back!
Yet Rachel was the one who literally broke up with him! Then she right away got together with Mark, Ross called drunk from the bar and heard Mark on the phone in Rachel's apartment. Right after Chloe appeared, took advantage of drunk Ross, so Ross never cheated and had every reason to be angry, but Rachel actually had zero problem with destroying the relationships of other people and cheating! And it's a zero problem for her fans too but oh, suddenly Rachel is a poor victim who was cheated on when she broke up with Ross - period; and he was drunk.
These fans are pathetic, just as Rachel was, and especially Rachel's female feminist fans, who never talk about how horribly she treated other women on the show, and how she had no problem with cheating but they cry about how Ross ' cheated on her'.
She was crazy possessive towards Ross, all the things that she did to Julie, Bonnie, Emily, the girl from the shop - the list goes on and on. She lied, and she tricked Ross into marrying her in Vegas, it was her idea, but she blamed it all on Ross!
She sexually harassed Tag during his first job interview, and she lied to her father about Ross not wanting to marry her when she told him about the pregnancy, and yet the truth was the opposite: Ross literally proposed the marriage to her in the hospital the first day she told him about her pregnancy, and she rejected the offer. As a result of these lies, Rachel's dad almost ruined Ross' relationship with Mona!
Ross, on his part, was literally just worried about Mark, and turns out, he was dead on about Mark! This is why the Hugh Laurie scene on the plane is my favorite moment on Friends ever -finally, someone actually told the truth about the insufferable, spoiled, hypocritical narcissist that Rachel always was, and to her face! She was by far the worst, most toxic, most hypocritical character on this show! And her fans are all these things too. Ross deserved so, so much better!

Try watching the baby got back episode they are great together. I love the first 3 seasons. Also love ending. Do agree their antics were at times crazy but they are great actors on a very special show.

The writers thought they were making the ex couple of Rachel and Ross cute, by having them feeling jealous for each other, when they were dating others themselves, especially Ravhel, but that just showed the toxic relationship.

Sure, over the years, personally Rachel grew a lot and really came into her own after leaving behind her father's money and the predictable life as a doctor's wife with Barry, but she never really outgrew her shallowness. She was ok with Bonnie, as long as she was bald lol

I see loads of comments on UA-cam on all the videos about Ross’ other girlfriends and how Rachel is awful for her attitude. A character that is too nice or « perfect » removes the interest and spice in a story. A lot of the things she does is sometimes inexcusable, but she’s a CHARACTER! Interesting stories include characters with flaws, and they all have many flaws.
