SWFL Eagles ~E15 ACCIDENTALLY FLEDGES 💕 Seen On Ground, Near Pond & Fence! Roosting In Tree 6.15.20

- What an exciting day! E15 has an accidental fledge today at 6:41 PM while trying to get back to the nest from the outer branch and misses it and lands on a branch below. E15 kept trying to figure out how to get to the nest when the branch it was on broke. E15 glided to the ground and into the grass. E15 flew from the ground to the fence by the Pritchett driveway. Three horses came walking by and scared E15 off and E15 flew back towards the office oak and on to the grass near the pond pylons! E15 rested for awhile on the grass and then flew back towards the nest tree and was later seen on one of the front pine trees roosting safely for the nest! Congratulations E15 on your maiden voyage! GE Lady Hawk! Amazing coverage here! You combined all three cams for the whole experience of her accidental fledge and did an amazing job! I'm somewhat concerned for her since it was an accidental fledge after all but I have high hopes she'll make her triumphant return to the nest tomorrow morning for breakfish. I love the footage with her on the ground laying in the grass from the pond cam! Also the horses approaching!💞. I think we can all admit, there's nothing quite like this pasture with all these cameras to capture everything. Thanks again LH and we'll be glued to the live feed tomorrow for sure.💜

Thank you Tom Sawyer!!! ♥ I am not concerned for E15! Seeing how well she flew from the ground to the fence and then back to the pond and ultimately to the front pine - on her first flight with a not so perfect fledging - E15 will make it back in no time at all. I will be watching tomorrow too and these three cams are amazing so we can see the whole experience!! E15 enjoyed the time on the grass!!! It was a big nest that was all hers!! ♥♥ Tomorrow will be an epic day no doubt!!

Lady Hawk, that is one way of putting it, "Congratulations on your maiden voyage", E15 views it as having missed the nest on wingercising session. I am sure E15 would rather be on the nest exercising her chest muscles with more wingercising sessions with E15 right beside her. Stay calm E15 your parents will continue to feed wherever you land. I think E16 was missing his sibling! He was very vocal around bedtime wondering where his nest mate was
What a star! E15 hatched on the day I lost my dear sister Elaine to Covid-19. A few days later I caught up again with this brood and I haven’t been disappointed. I know E16 is the more gentle of the two but to see this really warms my heart. E15 reminds me of Elaine, very tenacious. Loves a challenge and stands up for itself. Such an amazing family that I have followed since E9 hatched. Harriet and M15 are incredible parents. I remember E9 fledged early too and both H&M used to feed it whilst on the ground. Building up a great catalogue of memories from this family. Thank you so much Lady Hawk. 🙏💞
I am very sorry on the loss of your sister J Wilson. Yes E15 was adventurous and very tenacious - facing all these challenges head on with courage. I lost a family member right before E9 hatched and spending time watching this family and doing videos of his milestones really helped me deal with the grief I was experiencing. E15 will always be special to you now with your sister!! Take care!! ♥

I was laughing when the horses came to check out E15. Could just imagine him/her thinking "wow they're bigger from down here" and wanting no part of it. Accidental or not, E15 did a great job.

E15 is in a tree camouflaged with branches - it is different from being on the attic branch that is out in the open an easy target for owls!

Oh my, no doubt we’ve all been wondering about something like this. Up in the tree I’m thinking so much body and wings to learn to control. And then down in the pasture looking very juvenile all over again. I am sure eagle parents know how to cope with this and brave young E15 looked around for a long while before calling for help. And the horses even come by to lend support and check things out! Superb camera angles as always Lady Hawk. Addendum- okay, I can sleep. Lovely flight across the pond.
Oh Thank GOD! I saw live last night and she looked like she tried to land in a tree and fell into the pond. I cried and cried. What a miracle that she’s ok! ❤️❤️❤️
Do hope that E15 is doing okay her first night away from the nest.. & that she's able to make it back to the nest tomorrow. I will be doing the video on this shortly! At least E16 got a nice fish to eat before big Sis came back! We know she will be very hungry!! ♥♥

E15, when landing on the lower branch, looks up...cocking his/her head like, how did I get here and how do get back up there? E15 is seeing a whole new world now. Love how he/she just picked up and flew, after seeing the big creatures (horses) heading towards him..lol. Congrats to E15! Great captures of the fledge, at all angles..thank you Lady Hawk!

Oh my goodness, our poor little one!! E15 appears scared and unsure of herself and surroundings. She found her wings and was able to fly up into tree branches close by. We know that Harriet and M will watch over and care for her. We all want to see her fly back up to the nest tomorrow. THVM, LH, for compiling all the different camera videos and angles. It was almost like you wanted to coach E15, ‘you can do it, you can do it. You’re going to be okay’.
You are most welcome Daina!! I think E15 was scared but at the same time this is what she was born to do - fly!! In no time at all she is going to be coming and going from the nest and flying around the pasture!!
@@ladyhawk I was really surprised at how much civilization is around the nest. It seems like a dangerous place to raise eaglets. Or have they had great success here despite all the hazards?

@@ladyhawk E15 is such a confident eagle & big sis!! She was definitely enjoying her freedom!! While I, on the other hand, about had a heart attack holding my breath so long especially when she got so close to the road. Did you notice the little bird on the fence staying right by her and not harrasing her 😄 as if trying to help her? Between the bird & the beautiful horses 💕 it's as if they were trying to get her away from the road. I don't think she will stay in the nest to long after all her adventures except to make sure that E16 is ok. This is my 1st season to eagle watching and I have learned so much! Thank you so much for all your hard work getting the perfect video ever of the whole experience!! SEDS 💜
Oh you.looked so scared...but after some thought you realized you could fly and did it beautifully..thank god you didn't get hurt...when the sun was shining on you it was so easy to realize how beautiful you are...stay safe sleep well..in the morning get back to the nest for breakfast..so proud of you ❤

The coverage was spectacular. I managed to get most of it live. The greatest blessings happen in the most unlikely circumstances. The cam pan gave us a vivid experience of E15 by the pond, and the attempts to return to the nest. Undoubtedly, E15 and E 16 are missing one another tonight. I pray that E15 will be back in the nest tomorrow. Thank you Lady Hawk.

Clearly, we need to install an elevator. Poor thing was so scared. I wish it had gone a little smoother for her.

when birds’ legs are bent in a sitting position it locks a tendon that controls their toes so you almost need to peel their toes off something, or straighten their leg, to unlock them. it helps them hold on

I watched this all kick off last night, I said to my wife "I think E 15 is biting off more than she/he can chew here, with the strong wind and the going from new branch to new branch malarkey." I'm in the UK and five hours ahead and I couldn't prise myself away from the TV until I saw she/he was back off of the ground and as safe as possible. Great lessons learned by E15 tonight, The Horse did her/him a big favour, in giving her/him no option but to fly. The last image I saw was E15 in the tree near the road and Harriet or M sat higher up in the tree close by. it's a good job I'm furloughed from work, (due to the hideous virus) as it was 2:45am when I finally got to bed....So worth it though. Thank you for your montage's LH. Now my wife can see most of what she missed.

It was a wonderful walk. I was very worried. But the beautiful, smart, careful E15 did everything right. He/she rested when got tired and finally he/she got up and sat down on a tree again. Let E15 and E16 always be safe. I love them💞💕

My heart sank. Seeing her looking up at the nest looking scared and really trying to figure out how to get back up there. Flapping her wings. She just doesn't have the wing strength or the confidence just yet. A couple more flights over the pond like that and she will figure it out real soon. Might take a few days but she will get it!
