Thank you, I agree 100% I think it’s pointless to “trim” obviously dead bone straight hair little by little... “ain’t nobody got time for that” lol. Besides it’ll grow back healthier and thicker now.
society and media has everyone programmed on what they think is beautiful let it go be confident and rock it i cut mine in ocober and kept cutting it cause i loved it short:boy cut: but since February i have been letting it grow and it is doing great, but now i want to cut it again lol
Ashley Mtshali Depending on how short you’re comfortable with your hair being, I say go for it. I big chopped my mother’s hair last year who’s hair was just like hers but more damaged and now it’s thick and healthy as hell. You got this!
Im big chopping my daughter after her freshman orientation this evening. I think im more nervous than her. She's the last to go natural in the family. Thanks for this vid sis. ❤❤❤
@@NikkiNichelle. she has been transitioning since august. Its so hard to comb through the processed part so im ready to cut it. Her protective style is crochet braids. She has enough growth to have a cute fro and still long enough to keep crocheting for maximum growth.
I am sooo nervous but this motivated me to go ahead and cut off the damaged hair. I was worried about how short it would look but this gave me hope. Off to the shower I go !!!
Steezie Steezie Thank you and no. A “Big Chop” can consist of either shaving off all of your hair or completely cutting off all dead or processed hair. In her situation it was all of her permed/processed hair. 😉
My god I laughed too much. Girl you went fierce on those ugly dead hairs, well done. Big chops are always scary, but once you grow your hair you kinda miss it haha. Her afro looks GREAT on her I don't know why she jumped scared lol 😂
How long is your natural hair? If it’s at a long enough length where you can style it yourself easily then I say go for it. I’m sure you’ll rock it beautifully.
Good luck. She has a really long ass journey ahead of her with natural hair. Eight years later and two set backs im only just beginning to see the efforts of my hard work when it comes to growing long hair
@@NikkiNichelle. ok thanks for your reply..she has alot of new growth from her natural hair for the length of time she transitioned. Im going on 6mths post relaxer. I first said some mths ago that i was gonna do the BC at 6 mths. Now im saying 8-10mths or maybe even a year. Im just gonna wait & see how far my natural hair length is around 8 mths& if it's not where i want it to be, i may shoot for 10 or 12 mths
Ok cool, I actually have a recent photo on my Instagram: NaturalNikkiC that shows my 8 months of growth (which I hit this August) right now I'm at 9 months (I decided to grow my hair back on January 2019). I think I have a decent amount of growth for this time but everyone's hair grows differently. You should check out my page.
Erica big chop journey don’t worry, I had that situation at one point, actually while recording this video. My spot was dead center in the middle of my head. What I did was use Jamaican black castor oil from the hair store and massaged it on the spot Literally every other day (massaging promotes blood flow). If you stay consistent with that, it should grow in no time.
She has way more hair left than what I'm going to end up with this coming weekend. My head betrayed me this past fall when I blew it out. I'm trying to progressively cut it, but I'm just over it.
SQueen Rob Hey, if you’re still ok with transitioning then I would say to just continue doing what you’re doing but if you’re 100% over it then maybe just getting it over and done with would be a better option. With that at least you’ll be able to learn your hair all over again. ❤️
Hey I have never seen any of your videos but what caught my attention is your name you have the same name as me I never knew anyone with my name but from now own i will continue to watch your videos ❣💯
My hair is like hers right now most of my natural hair grew back and at the ends are the ones that are still straight but I really don’t like cutting my hair I’m to scared

O Ooo I'm so glad you just went in and got ALL the straight ends, no playing. I hate watching videos where they are scared to cut and go back 50x.

Why do I feel like big chop videos are satisfying
I LIKE! But I thought big chop is when all the hair is shaved down🤔Isn't this technique just clipping ends?
