    This video made me super emotional. I'm one who has a difficult hair journey my entire and it's not as a result of mishandling or lack of care, but more due to my DNA. It's weak, think, fragile, and slow growing. As a result, I live vicariously through my UA-cam sisters and I enjoy watching them process and transform their resilient hair. I would give anything to have versatile hair type that I could chop off and that grows quickly. Your hair is lovely and thanks for sharing with us. Baby is beautiful too!!!!!

    • @gabbyw8739
      @gabbyw8739 8 років тому +2

      L L I am in no way shape or form trying to sell you anything, but have you tried hair skin and nail vitamins? I would try those(or whatever brand you want) and double your water intake and see if you notice any improvement.

    • @cantrockthis
      @cantrockthis 8 років тому +5

      Gabby W thanks for understanding and for the valuable advice. I will definitely look into getting a vitamin supplement to see if it helps. Thank you!

    • @gabbyw8739
      @gabbyw8739 8 років тому +2

      L L No problem I hope that helps! I've been using castor oil on my ends when I get out of the shower and after about two weeks I can definitely tell a difference. So hopefully between the vitamins and the black castor oil you'll be able to get some growth. Good luck ❤️

      Probably a good idea to big chop because your hair didn't look like the other texlaxed ladies I've seen. Some people can pull it off and others can't, I guess. Just like some are better at maintaining natural hair. Good luck.

    • @fabulously695
      @fabulously695 8 років тому +7

      L L no ones hair is 'weak' unless you have a disease, your hair is very likely baby fine, you just need to be a little more careful with it

    Welcome back!!! I love that you are honest about your experience because it helps us as a viewer understand the process and what to expect if we were to think about processing our hair. To be honest, I thought about processing my natural hair once it get to a certain length but after watching several UA-camrs revert back to natural it helped mold my decision to stay natural. Please keep us updated on your progress! You have such a cute family!

      Having healthy hair is always more important than having long hair. I have had long hair ALL my life, and I only just recently (I'm 35 yrs old) started to learn how to properly take care of my hair. A lot of my hair used to fall out when I combed my hair, and even when I washed it because I had no idea about sulfates and harsh chemicals in shampoo that was stripping my hair. My hair type is 3b/3c and I already know that a lot of women believe that saying I'm natural holds no weight compared to someone with 4b/4c hair. But every hair type and person has different hair, and until you know how to give your hair what is wants to be healthy, be it long or short, everyone has the right to say they are going on a natural hair journey. Having 3a/3b/3c hair doesn't mean its automatically easy to deal with your hair and you just wet it and go!!! We are all beautiful with beautiful hair! Learn about your hair and let it be what it is.....a reflection of YOU!

    I just did mines today hair was just as long as yours and I felt the same about my straights ends the strange thing is that I didn't even plan it like I thought I would. I just woke up and washed it and I saw how much was natural and was like I might as well just do it, once I started It wasn't nearly as hard as I had thought it would be or as devastating as some ppl make it seem but I had been transitioning for a year and three months so it was a good length. all in all I was happy with it, hair is hair even if you cut it, it will just grow back!

    Your hair was so long! I love your new natural look! I've been transitioning from relaxed to natural for 4 years now, but I still see long relaxed ends once I wash my hair. I want to be completely natural but I'm so nervous to do the big chop 😭

      Avaya Martin 4 years?👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿 most people could not make it that long. I think you should big chop if you want to, if not big chop when you're ready.

    All the way from South Africa...I swear this is exactly the kind of motivation I needed to do my own big chop. Big ups for the bravery lol.
