I have always shopped at M&S no more. I will not be dictated to how I pay. So goodbye M&S, not just food but clothes too. Please boycott these cashless businesses.
Done ✔️
Correct. This video is a simple explanation of why we should all object to CBDCs ua-cam.com/video/X4YPR7i095g/v-deo.html
challenge accepted.
I'll stop going in now
Thank you guys 👍
I've seen many older shoppers (including myself) suddenly forgetting their pin numbers.
Cash is king !
Also, to my embarrassment, my bank refused payment for no good reason. When inquired, the response was that they did it to prevent fraud dhuh.
French shoppers have caused stores to go back to cash. 20+ people filled their trolleys went through cash out. When asked for payment said they only had cash. Messed them up completely. We need to do the same.
@@shirleyottewell220 Especially frozen goods 😂
Cash is king but not for much longer. Wishy Washy announced digital currency will happen in 2025. The only thing king that be left for us is the WEF king.
@@mmwaashumslowww7167 I believe he will be toast before that. His father in law owns that digital I'd firm. One big stitch up.
The successful Bud Light and Target boycott has shown all free citizens The Way.. any businesses refusing to accept cash should be boycotted to bits, so that we may enrich their cash-accepting competitors.
What a PERFECT way of expressing this thought - always been my attitude - if my CASH is not suitable then NO BUSINESS. I understand that cheques are difficult these days - but they have been for at least 3 decades.
They obviously have stronger principles and morals in the US, the UK is such a weak nation now and will just roll over and accept anything thrown at them .
Enough people have stopped using cash now - those few that resist won't bother the big companies, they will be subsidised by the powers that be and just carry on regardless. Have to get more people onside or game over.
Agree. Anheuser Busch already lost $56 billion according to Breitbart and customers are unlikely to return. Any such globalist strategies must be boycotted immediately.
@@hookooekoo2 You are right. It's sad that so many people are ignorant of what a cash free world means.
Cash is LEGAL TENDER. How can they legitimately refuse coin of the realm?
There is no law to compel them too.
Yes. But if you fill the trolley cash out than say I've only cash they'll have to reverse the process or accept cash.
Because paper bills are not the same thing as COIN. If you have turned your coins in already, you will have a harder road.
'Legal Tender' does not apply here. 'Legal Tender' is what is acceptable payment for the settlement of a debt, not payment.
@@shirleyottewell220I've walked out and left everything in Tescos because they wouldn't accept cash.
Don’t accept cash? Don’t shop with them, it’s simple.😊
Wont be shopping at M&S then....... and that will be a big loss for them as I get quite a bit from them Monthly........ dont except my cash then lose my Business
And when all the major stores have gone cashless, what do you do then?
Shop at the small, expensive, mom and pop owned corner stores?
I both love and hate cash: it's a necessary evil.
@@CH-vb5kr Grow my own
@@CH-vb5kr grow my own......its always worked in the past and you can get a lot of frest fruit from the hedgerows
Exactly
Go in fill a trolley, get to the checkout, unload the trolley onto the counter then when told they don’t accept cash walk away and leave your shopping for them to put away. (Problem is there are too many stupid people in the world who don’t understand the importance of keeping cash.)
Will do definitely
Wear a face nappy & make sure your car reg isn't on CCTV.
I've done this st Tim hootens a cash only place young girl said sorry its card only I asked for manager and said please rember this conversation when you sack people because you're refusing customers bye bye
I've done this with self serve only shops.
Leslie Aylett good idea wouldn't have thought of that 😅😅
Then they'll go on my boycott list if this is the case.
Seems to me like all of these big companies have gone into self destruct mode! GOOD! DOWN WITH THE CORPORATIONS. Go out and support small local businesses, help feed a family, instead of funding these feckers' extremely large bonuses.
Shame. I like the food hall, but they just lost a customer!
I do but they are ridiculously expensive. It won't be a problem for me to stop going there.
Marks are not ridiculous expensive
@@tenniskinsella7768 Yes they are. Their food is way overrated and their clothes are drab.
Pepole need to stop shoping at m.s then and let them be the ones to lose out.its called tough shit
My pet dung beetle used to eat at their cafe, but stopped when their shit got too tough.
it's the only power we have left imo, vote with your pocket, if Burger King refuses cash walk away, and stay strong!!
I’m 66 years old, I’m ok with technology but I for one still believe that cash is king. I use cash at all times, as long as I’ve got money in my pocket. If I went anywhere that they refuse to accept cash. I would just leave the their establishment, the are the ones who want our money more that we need them. Especially when there are plenty of other businesses providing the same product and accept cash. The Bank of England is the reason for all this, seeing that you want all households to go digital
The irony being that the word 'digital' derives from the word 'digit' meaning a 'finger'. so I take 'digital' payment to be paying with something one handles with one's fingers - cash.
Bank of England is said to be having a consultation about digital cash. Cut off point is....and you'll love this, 7/6/23 next Wednesday!!
Why is this not news? Because that Phil has been taking up the front pages with his dumbed down sordid drama.
@@commandingjudgedredd1841 my daughter sent me the link to this
These companys really dont like being in business do they?..
It should be unlawful for any business dealing with the public not to accept cash for payment of goods or services. Refusal to accept the country's legal monetary currency should constitute an offense, resulting in forced closure of such a business.
That simply doesn't play into the global agenda for a central bank digital currency, which will allow huge monitoring and control of all you spend 🤷🏻♂️
It's a high form of discrimination. Especially against the more advanced in years
Cash is legal tender and surely cannot be denied ?
@@kevindarkstar it’s all down to controlling the people 👍👍👍
I tried a few years ago to pay my bus fare of £1-00 in 10p, and 20p coins only to be refused as it was not legal tender as payment should be made in the least number of coins or notes.
Does this still apply?
Lets BOYCOTT THOSE WHO GO CASHLESS
DON'T SHOP ANYWHERE, IF THEY DON'T ACCEPT CASH.
My disabled son wanted a Krispy Kreme donut as his treat. He chose what he wanted, woman packaged it up. I offered my cash payment and was told card only. Walked away. Card payment for one donut wtf? I also only use cash because I have X amount to spend in my purse. I can see instantly how much more I have or don't have to spend.
Was in a pub got 2 pints went to pay cash they said card only, walked out left the 2 pints on the bar... I probably drink too much anyway
Good for you both. That is what I would do. These stores need to realise customers are that customers, not going to take orders from anyone regarding how I pay for my shopping.
No offence, but some sugar filled, wheat based product ??
Eat healthy ffs.
Same, I work for cash and keep x amount for spending then bank the rest. I know exactly what I have to spend.
@@juniusvindex769 she did say it was a treat not the child's regular diet.
They tried this in France - locals organised themselves - went to the supermarket together and filled their trolleys - but when they got to the checkout they informed the checkout person that they could only pay in cash - it was chaotic but it worked - the supermarket immediately reversed their cashless policy....!
... in which we find ourselves. 😉
Any retail outlet that refuses to take cash deserves to go bust. End of discussion.
I'm a pensioner and its not a case of cant or dont know how its... I dont want to be checked and monitored and my details sold to any marketing company who wants to pay. It wont be the government that brings in the cbdc it will be companies. Pizza hut in my area went cashless, 3 people in restaurant 7 of us... we walked away.. hope they go broke
It's not the cashless aspect I have an issue with, it's the dehumanising aspect. Self-service tills and ordering screens are just soulless, sometimes we need to interact with people. Invariably, self-service tills don't work, need things verified or customers need help. I also resent having to do the work a cashier would get paid for but then receive no discount!
It's not having a choice that gets me. They can do one 😊
What boils my pee is the fact that all these businesses are getting the shoppers to do their work for them. I've been refusing for years their invitations to use the self check outs. If they want me to replace their cashier, they can discount my purchases (pro rata) from the money they are saving by not having a cashier.
The cashless aspect is something you really should have a problem with. When your paper cash is replaced your CBDC account will be used via your card, that way, government and big companies will be tracking what you spend and dictate what you can or cannot buy.
You want to buy another bottle of full fat milk?
"It has too many calories, detrimental to your health, purchase denied. Try an alternative product".
Want to buy that new shirt? "Carbon footprint to make this shirt was too high, purchase denied". Try an alternative product".
I got into a queue for the check out at Sainburys, and there was no girl on the till, in fact, a noticeable shortage of staff, A member of staff came from the self check out to say we needed to go through the self-checkout, we all said NO! A lady behind me said to the member of staff, "Listen luv, you go and tell your manager it's your job to check items out of your shop, not ours that means we are working for nothing, doing what your staff should be doing" Good point I thought
As a matter of principle, I refuse to give my business to someone who thinks they can dictate how I pay.
Simple solution, go into M&S, fill one of their biggest trolleys with food, especially frozen, till the trolley is full, then go to the till, wait for them to say "we don’t take cash", then shrug shoulders, leave the trolley at the till and walk away.
If everybody did this nationwide, there's a possibility M&S might change their minds.
💷💷💷💷💷💷💷💷💷💷💷💷💷💷
Nah I'm not sure, you could just imagine someone saying "ok I'll take the cash payment" then being stuck with a load of expensive M&S stuff you've got to pay for!
I’m going to try this!
No cash no freedom.
Oh dear, I can imagine there will be a lot of baskets chock full of chilled foods, abandoned at the checkouts when the customers 'realise' they've accidentally forgotten their debit cards.
I don't agree with it but a store y like shopping in itcwould be silly to boycott seeing I've hardly seen anyone use cash in their anyway I certainly don't agree with digital in the cafe though
To be honest I usually use my card, unless it’s something really cheap. But now on principle I will not shop at M & S again if they go down this route.
Same here.
They don't like you having a 'choice' do they. The only choice I have now is NOT to shop there, which I will exercise 😊
@@redscouse8568 to be honest M&S isn’t that good anymore so I probably won’t miss it 😊
Using your card means allyour transactions are monitored. I only use my card now to draw out cash or for emergencies.
Well done choice is every thing I know people that would have had covid jabs but when it was being forced on care / hospital staff they refused it as choice is paramount 🇬🇧
technological slaves, if this goes ahead we are doomed. I thought the MP's voted against a cashless society?
Waterstones Leeds a few months ago, whilst making a purchase, I offered the young gentleman at the counter (looked around 20 years old), a £20 note, his jaw dropped and he looked confused, before saying "That's money", he was fairly perplexed that I wasnt paying with my non-existent mobile phone, or a contactless card (a function I do not have the pleasure of obtaining), I am a left over from another time it would seem.
I don't use the tactless - which is exactly what it is - function either.
Then stop spending your “Money” in their stores. I only spend cash, no more card payments from me.
Stop using m&s if thats the case
When there digital systems go down, and they do frequently included banking.. they have to close the store as no alternative available… plenty of other shops who take cash 😊
I won’t shop anywhere if they refuse my cash.
A local Sainsbury has ripped out all but one 'normal' checkout and replaced with self service checkouts. The place is a bit of a soulless dump now. No social interaction with anyone on a till, f'all.
All done to increase the bottom line, surprise surprise.
Loads of newcomers to change the till-role in the self-service machines though. Complex stuff.
And some fat cat director got a big fat bonus for coming up with that one
@@BlackRain_ And if they pass the test do they progress to sand pit and plasticine?
Someone should remind all retail businesses that they have to take the coin of the realm or the customers will go else where. To me it looks like the senior management of these companies have been recruiting far too many fools with MBA's into the management teams.
I agree. There are too many so-called " educated " people hired in these jobs. Unfortunately, educated these days means indoctrinated. And without a modicum of common sense. That's me done with M&S, goodbye.
They can actually refuse to sell anything to you.
Yes soon go out of business if they do that to everyone.
@@me38443that works both ways and it will cost them more than US
IF YOU HAVE NOT NOTICED YET - THERE IS A GLOBALIST AGENDA GOING DOWN TO CONTROL THE MASS POPULACE, A CASHLESS (DIGITAL MONEY) IS A LARGE PART OF IT. RESIST DO NOT CONFORM OR BECOME A COMPLETE SLAVE
They really don't care about the elderly, shameful 😢
As I always say, if you don't like what they are doing, then go somewhere else. The only way to make companies wake up is to withdraw your custom.
I don't use debit cards of store cards, cash only when shopping, CASH use it or lose it.
M&S cannot afford to do this, they will loose more of its customers
If I had a business it would be cash only - best way to avoid tax man
And wouldn't it be great, though, if the *Tax office* went card only, while we continue to offer *cash* only?
Which is why the bank of England wants a cashless society so everyone can be tracked so no black market
We've already stopped buying meals from Cook as they went cashless. We'll do the same with M&S. Have to say, it isn't doing my bank account any harm.
I am “elderly”. I use cash only on my principal. No cash, no business. amen
Not just older people. I refuse to pay with anything but cash or cheques. Use it or lose it.
During the covid lockdown we went for cups of coffee and toasted sandwiches they refused cash we went to another cafe and paid cash no problem. We have continued to use the other cash cafe and despite the other one now taking cash they have lost loads of customers. Thousands of people especially pensioners do not have cards and don't want them. If lots of people refuse to use cards shops will learn a big lesson very quickly. Give people a free choice it should be the customers choice.
It's not just that, Andy; When we are forced to use cards we are simultaneously monitored by the 'Authorities to Be!'. Well I don't like being spied on!
You wait for CBDCs
BOYCOTT ANYWHERE THAT GOES CASHLESS
THE BEAST SYSTEM IS DRAWING IN FAST
If people act collectively it's easy to stop... Find a place you know 100% does this... get together a group of friends, lets say 20 and fill up your trollies, when they reject cash, walk out... Best news is you will be keeping people employed who need to put it all back on the shelves! Rinse and repeat the next day. Make a day of it!
Just go in to any store like supermarkets that have card only payments, get the largest trolley and fill it to the top. Then go to the checkout to pay, when they say card only payment just leave it there and walk out.
Such establishments employ people specifically to do put-backs; return unwanted goods to their rightful place on the shelves.
That’s the way I have done it a few times
@@Rich6Brewyes but some stuff like frozen and chilled cannot be put back
Fill your trolley with milk and chilled/frozen meat
All to do with the cbdc.....
its coming
Aviod all who push cashless.
Fill the trolly with pork products and leave it at the till if no cash taken.
Interesting concept for M&S, as it's already the shoplifters choice on the High Street.
Shoplifters have no class!!
@@MI7DJT nothing to do with that I'm sure, more so it's a one stop nicking shop.
And their high prices make the shoplifting all the better value.
They want shops to close, for you to buy everything online. The trouble is, you have no choice online, it can be out of date, they swap items round and as for clothing. Shoddy workmanship, terrible fabrics and all the trouble of returning something so unsuitable. An item that had you been able to see or feel you would not have bought. All such a terrible waste of time, whether waiting in for days or having to find a way of returning.
As ever always the seniors that get forgotten. I'm sure it's age discrimination! Do we have ANYONE supporting our group these days in the Government? If so what are they doing about it?
Remember we are the customer and should have the Wright to choose cash or no cash! Thay will have a problem with older people who only pay by cash,
Support and help small independent businesses and always use Hard Cash only.
So M&S are going cashless well I hope it's there downfall..
We’ve had a new M&S a year ago, their cafe is of the new ilk the same with the tills, 1 till manned and a “idiot” trying to encourage every one to use the self service, didn’t understand that if she succeeded to get everyone serving themselves she was making herself redundant, yes, us oldies like to use cash, but M&S have been alienating older customers for years by stocking much younger fashion, which quite honestly is only slightly better than Primark, their latest ploy is to introduce branded younger fashion ranges, of course when they say our customers are happy to use the “robotic system” they’re referring to much younger clientele and not to us oldies, I will still shop there and use cash as much as possible, of course it’s not me who will have to put the trolley full of shopping back when they won’t accept my cash at the checkout 🤣
Can I just say that I work for M&S and none of us are “idiots.” If someone is directing customers to self service tills, it’s because they’re being told to by management. We try and help all customers regardless of age and ability to use technology. Please don’t be so rude about retail staff. Our job is bloody hard and soul destroying, just to pay our mortgage or rent, and feed our families. You need a lesson in manners, not technology 😡
@bambina3148 I wouldn't worry too much, won't be long before your job's are obsolete. AI taking over the world, while humans stand by and do nothing
Roll up to the checkout with your goods when they say its cashless just leave your goods / food and walk away
Hear this! I walked into Ask Pizza in Lichfield a few months ago. The foetus on the door immediately informed me and the wife Ask only took card payment. We left disgruntled and went else where. Anyway a few days later I complained to Ask's Brand Director (thank you Linkedin) who then got onto someone at Head Office to deal with my complaint. Get this - Ask apparently DO take cash and the little sh*t in the restaurant was fobbing me off because he (or his Manager) would rather not have the hassle of handling cash! I got an apology from Head Office and sent a £50 voucher which was nice of them. It pays to speak up! :)
I fear this is the thin end of the wedge and eventually cash will be no more. Personally I hate touch screens. Just wondering if touch screens in an eating establishment are likely to spread germs?
Shhh, don't vilify touchscreens! They are essential for the next stage of the plan.
Must do
It's not the germs you have to worry about in 'eating establishments'because G£erm theory is just that - a theory. Never been proven to cause c0ntagi0n.
Hate to break it to you, but because many people don't wash their hands after taking a dump, these screens have been tested and found to contain bacteria from sh*t.
Support the world as you want to create it ❤
Of course company's will take advantage, we are literally telling them, all is good, every time we use this stuff.
No cash option walk out.
No one on the till, walk out.
You have just lost my custom then M&S ,I won't shop anywhere that doesnt accept cash 😂🤣🤣
No cash? then no custom from me 🤷♀️ plenty of other places who do take legal tender
If a supermarket said to me we don't accept cash, I would leave my fully laden trolley at the checkout.
Going cashless is a form of discrimination against certain sections of society including the poor, the homeless, the disadvantaged, the elderly, and children. From now on the only time I will enter an M&S store is to use the toilet!
I am elderly ! and would avoid these shops like the plague !!! I will not be told I cannot do something and will not stop using cash.
And then there's a power cut...🤔
And systems are always breaki g down. I remember when the system malfunctioned when pensioners were cuing for a jab outside a clinic in the depths of winter.
Of all the companies to do this... it doesn't make much sense for them. Their customer base won't accept it.
I wonder what the legal position would be, if you slapped down a tenner (appropriate cash) on the counter, for the goods, and walked out. You have paid with legal tender. It's their problem if they don't accept it.
Goodbye marks and Spencer, with hand on heart I hope this is a bud light moment.
Cash is freedom
There are a few shops who are fighting back by putting signs in their windows stating, "CASH ONLY".
Since M&S went woke I don't use them anyway. I make a point of not using purveyors that discriminate against cash ,many supermarkets have card only tills and machines and very few cash operated tills ,preference is visibly given to card users especially when these machines are capable of accepting both types f payments they are definitely pushing people to pay by card ,it's about time we pushed back and don't use them. At least the cash in my wallet is what I actually have to spend and not on credit, they used to call it buying on tick in the old days. The amount of times I've seen cards declined with people with a trolley full of shopping because they don't know how much credit they have, same can't be said for cash.
I think they will lose a lot of customers if they go down that lane.
Not a problem but I will have to find somewhere else to buy my work trousers so that’s my biennial visit to M&S over then 😁
Well, a trip to M&S is on the cards ( forgive the pun) and a full trolley of fresh and frozen food is scanned and packed snd then tipped out if they don’t take cash. I always ask for a cash discount if it’s suggested I self scan.
As an elderly person I have no problem using credit or debit cards. However if M&S is going to start refusing payment by cash then after a lifetime of using their stores for food, clothes and homeware I will boycot them and go elsewhere.
Cash is still legal tender in this country. (At the moment) How can they refuse the currency of our nation? - Take care everyone - Dawn 🌅
I thought that.I looked it up,they don’t have to accept cash,it’s not law.Thats how they can get away with it.
Yes they should be boycotted regardless of cash or card, if they want your business then they should accept what ever method of payment you offer, cash or card. This applies to any store or business as it's another step towards controlling the people. The people need to react to this in a big way and stop it now before it gets out of hand
My local main dealer garage stopped cash (unknown to me at the time) and said no problem they take all major cards so i presented my American express card and they said they do not take it... they refused 2 very valid methods of payment . I exploded at the service reception desk. I said I was surprised about not taking Amex as they are a prestige brand and i would have thought they wanted high net worth customers. I have cards but i hate using them, it`s not right to force it on people as these card companies all take a percentage rake off costing us all money. and track what i purchase and where etc.
Amex is probably the least woke of the major credit cards, so I use them by default.
But I prefer to pay cash for things.
People should get those big trollies, pile them high with goods, go to the checkout and when they refuse cash just walk out and leave. Can you imagine someone having to put everything back!
My local Chinese takeaway is now charging a fee if you pay by card. I don't mind paying with a card but to save 50p I get cash from the hole in the wall and pay with cash now. It is easier to see what I spend that way though.
I will never go to M&S again then or anywhere else that will not take cash, even if I want to pay with my debit card.
I find this as yet another system that is open to fraudulent activity
Cash is king.
Everything has monetary value cash, card, cheque etc and should be accepted no matter what. It's what keeps everything spinning and working for mankind.
If my mum were alive today she'd have to go knickerless
"Cash is Kinky"
Just boycott them, we will not be dictated to.
Walked out of Marks today because of all the pride signs. Marks are so woke that I will no longer use them. There cafe food is rubbish standards on the floor.
Won't be shopping there then
Shouldn’t they be asking their customers and not dictating.
Prefer paying by cash when out shopping. However, whenever I use my debit card in a shop, despite it being a contactless card, I normally still get have to use my pin numbers despite spending less than £100.
It's a pain in the arse keeping tabs on card spending. You know what you've got left if you only use cash. Once it's gone, it's gone
I went into a Southampton Starbucks and they didn't accept cash. I didn't have a card so was kindly given a free coffee (!), but it is ridiculous...
Let them go bust these establishment's trying to push this agenda, .
Very simple. Fill a trolly full to the brim, especially with lots of persishables. Load the checkout conveyor, then offer cash. If they refuse, leave everything and walk.
Hopefully theyll also go customerless.
It’s funny, when the computers were down at local shops, they gladly accepted cash.
Keep away from M&S you don’t need them they need YOU
I will never ever pass through their corrupt doors.
Went to Pizza Hut in Edinburgh, same thing. You are supposed to order via a bar code at the table. We sat there for twenty mins before someone told us and then the bloody thing didn't work, even the waitress couldn't do it. She finally did it the old fashioned way. Ridiculous. Won't be going back and will not go anywhere unless it's cash.
I suspect the average M&S customer probably only uses card anyway. They dont exactly cater to the people like me who are watching the pennies./
This is a chance for small businesses to cash in, I go to a fish shop on the weekend that demands cash only no cards or cheques excepted just like the old days
