    I love the darkness Cal is struggling with in this game. He’s giving a Anakin/Kylo vibe for sure. I’m all here for a darker Cal, it’s exactly what I’m theorized for this game, so it’s nice to actually see basically everything I wanted play out.

      He definitely did. He was alive during that era so. There’s a chance he could’ve actually been there at one point. He’s supposedly served on the council for like 800 years or so. And judging by Dagan saying the council gave up on Tanalorr, Yoda definitely knew.

    Great Reader's Digest synopsis and analysis of a rather epic (individual) new tale in The SWU. I know there's going to be a third and final tale in Cal Kestis' personal story...but, I loved seeing that my hope/theory was correct: That Jedi Knight Cal Kestis could find a remote planet in a hidden star system, that made it possible for him to escape from The Empire, while still, in some way, fighting for the cause, and living to see the time of The New Republic, eventually appearing in live-action within The Mandoverse (inc. Dave Filoni's upcoming theatrical release culmination). I'm now left wondering, since the vestiges of The High Republic Era play a pivotal role in JEDI: Survivor, if Tanalorr is some sort of possible contrasting relative to the (supposed) paradise planet that The Nameless seem to originate from? Perhaps, in relation to how Ashla and Bogan (2 moons orbiting Tython) represent different aspects of The Force, perhaps Tanalorr and the mystery planet, only located via a dangerous maelstrom (similarly to The Abyss that needs to be traversed to reach Tanalorr), represent contrasting nexuses, with one being a generator of The Force, while the other is a manifestation of The Anti-Force and Dark Side powers. That would be a really cool, mysterious, intriguing dynamic in The SWU. I really like how this video game connects to The High Republic, the Obi-Wan Kenobi miniseries, SW: Rebels, and The Mandoverse. When Star Wars: Eclipse releases, I wonder how encompassing a campaign tale it will be, regarding the history that came before it, and the future that lies ahead. There's a rumor going around, that certain aspects of the flashback story of Dagan, Santari, Rayvis,Tanalorr, and The Jedi Order's "betrayal", might be a feature of Phase Three of Project Luminous/The High Republic Multimedia Initiative. That would be very interesting to see, with what We already know.
    Thanks, Man. May The Force Be With You.

  • @gentlesavage2068
    @gentlesavage2068 Рік тому +6

    to me the story doesn't really look as interesting as the first one, I feel like having to tell stories set in between the prequel and sequel trilogy really handicaps the developers, and also why do these characters lives and their stories in this game matter if we never see them again and they aren't really referenced in the mainline star wars continuity and how many more secret surviving Jedi are there that we don't know about, it kinda makes the mysterious nature they gave obi wan and yoda in episode 4 and 5 feel very undermined if there were secretly a bunch of other surviving Jedi out there and that knew about the struggles that Luke would face with Vader and the emperor and never thought about reaching out to help him. It just feels like telling stories within this time frame gives Disney a convenient out to treat them like their events never happened and like their stories have no real long term impact or consequences. And the inclusion of the high republic era or the push to focus on that era specifically now in star wars acolyte and this game to a certain extent kinda feels like a slap in the face to people who are fans of the old republic stories and old republic era and games, and to tease fans in a way about those stories being retconned and barely acknowledged by disney star wars. (they'll give you the diet coke equivalent of old republic era but never the real deal)

    • @godblesstheidf7305
      @godblesstheidf7305 Рік тому +9

      You really thought only a few jedi’s survived? it wouldn’t even make sense if only obi wan and few others survived every jedi went through series survival training so it’s completely normal that good amount of jedi survived and the whole part of the high republic, as someone who loves the old/high republic era this was not a slap to the face the fact they even showed things related to the high republic was awesome and not expected i do agree with your point on the problem the writing new stories set between the sequels and prequels but honestly they did a very good job

    Game is great.
    Story is trash.
    If bode was working for the empire in order to stop cal and his team...
    Why doesn't bode just kill him right away?
    Why did dagan turn to the Darkside and fight cal? If he learned the order he wanted vengeance against are all dead and cal and his team want the EXACT same thing he wants, why wouldn't he just join cal?
    Doesn't make sense.

    • @dallaswinston330
      @dallaswinston330 Рік тому +4

      Bode was happy for Cal and his gang to join him and Kata on Tanalorr, his problem was the Hidden Path. It’s why he was trying to get Cal and Merton together, to get him to want to abandon everything and just live there. Dagans obsession with Tanalorr led him to the darkside. It was literally all he cared about. He murdered other Jedi for it. Did you play the game? Or watch cutscenes? Or listen to force echos? It gives you all the answers. Though, I will admit, Bodes motivation was completely dogshit. But Dagan makes sense to me.

    • @dallaswinston330
      @dallaswinston330 Рік тому +1

      In his eyes he was betrayed by the person he cared for most, betrayed by the Jedi order, and then learned the order failed to protect the galaxy. He was already on the path to the dark side, that was just the tip of the ice berg

      @TheFreedomDealer Рік тому +1

      @dallaswinston330 yeah I got that but dagans problems were taken care of. The jedi order and the one he cared most of are dead. Now he finds a group who want the exact thing he wants. Go to tanalor and create a new Era of jedi...
      Exactly the same thing.
      But instead he attacks them? Doesn't make sense.
      And yes bode EVENTUALLY gets to the point you said BUT if that general wanted cal out of the way and was using bode to I Filtration them. Then why not have bode kill them immediately? Like at the start when cal was hanging there and the stormtrooper was going to kill him?
      There is zero reason why that general controlling bode would have bode join them for Intel when they have all the Intel and an opportunity to take them out
