Kirk Hammett High Plains Drifter Reaction | Deftones Show Review

Kirk Hammett of Metallica recently released his latest single High Plains Drifter from the upcoming EP Portals. The song is basically a spaghetti Western that also happens to share the title of the 1973 western film. exactly kirk got the flavor and soul!!! THAT is what sets him apart from soo many guintar players. his solos actually suit the song and are PRETTY not just some monotone shredding!! and this album was better then most of what metallica has released the last 25 years!!! i have been listening to the album the entire year and love it!!!

He hasn't contributed in two albums out of 9, which basically is not a big loss, since anything they've done in the last 25 years is utter shit. He has written one of the most iconic riffs in Metallica. This EP is much more enjoyable to listen to than the last 4 Metallica albums and it's awesome that Kirk has the chance to play with REAL drummers here. After Cliff's death, Ulrich's egomania and mediocrity and Hetfield's control-freakness took over and the result is obvious - 9 albums in 40 yrs and 4 of them are worthless!
