Love all the socks for James what a nice birthday gift. Your ziggy shawl is so pretty, the lace sections are gorgeous. I was never an ice cream girl as I grew up except for raspberry ripple, you hardly ever see it in the shop now. The little cardigan your making for your friends baby is just adorable, the raglans look so nice I really like that detail. I live in Norfolk now but originally from London and I remember the first week I moved here I broke down in my car and rolled into what I thought was just a dirt drive. Hunny that so exciting I was a stall holder for nearly 30 years at various fairs and markets and loved every minute. Setting up the stall was always fun plan for more better to come home with a few than not enough. Look at past attendance numbers to gauge possible sales. There will be loads of lookers and I worked on 25% are possible sales at the best and that’s worthy of a feet up and celebratory drink 🎉 here if you want to ask anything as always my loverlie. Xxxxxx

Paula, I love knitting socks as well and always have a pair on my needles. Like you, I have leftovers and wondered what to do with them. I love the idea of your scrap blanket. I'd like to use your idea but have no idea how many stitches you used. Your blanket looks a perfect size. You've mentioned Kroy yarn which is readily available here and when I see a new pattern I'm buying it.

Lovely shawl. I told my husband about James’s sock blanket and he wants one. I can’t knit at the moment as I’ve got tennis elbow 😩.
Agree with you about Happy Valley, think it’s 70 minutes long on Sunday.
When one of our Guinea pigs died we brought the other one indoors to live permanently so she wouldn’t be lonely. I loved the way she squeaked at us when she saw us.

Hi Paula - I'm so pleased you made the extra long dynamite mitts. I made a pair using this pattern (copied from an earlier vidoe of yours) for my daughter, but got carried away before the thumb shaping and I made them too long. Now I don't feel so bad giving the extra long ones to my daughter x

I love Happy Valley too. I'm sad that it's the last ever episode. Ryan will do the right thing. I love the shawl. I wish I could knit one but I can't follow a pattern. I have tried but all the abbreviations confuse me. I'm knitting a rug at the moment using the scraps if fabric left over from quilting. You are never boring Paula.

I’m so glad your podcasts are back, and never boring! I love small florals, gingham, spots and stripes too. We must have the same taste because I love all the things you make and the fabrics and yarns. You inspired me to try don”s and I knitted a truly awful sock 😂 I’ve knitted a scarf and a load of seasonal tea cosies since and swore I’d never knit another sock but your socks are so lovely I might have another go. Hope James had a great birthday.

Another enjoyable podcast. Thank-you spelling out the Mysonni Bias scarf I would like to make one and couldn't find it on ravelry as I didn't have the spelling correct. Make more than you think you will need for the festival and if there happens to be anything left you can sell it in your shop. It is better to have more. 😊 🇨🇦

Bacardi...I was sick for three days after I drank (too much) of this, I can't even stand the smell of it. My eldest made me a special desert once, he was so proud, can you guess...it was Caribbean bananas, made with Rum, I felt so bad but I just could not eat it, the smell made my stomach lurch 😅

Anything but boring - refreshingly normal actually 😊 I hope your mum is back to 100% soon. I wish I had a nosy neighbour - mine all studiously mind their own business, see nothing, hear nothing. When I was a 20yo bachelorette, I had a nice little ground-floor flat in a block of much older residents, one of whom was a perpetual curtain twitcher. One dark winter night, I got off the bus from work and that neighbour was waiting for me. She said she'd seen a man go into my flat through the kitchen window and she'd called the police, so I should go with her to her flat and wait. The police arrived and the man was arrested. He was found to be wearing a stocking mask & gloves and he had a bag with him that held rope, duct tape and burglary tools. The police said he hadn't taken anything in my flat, he seemed to be just waiting for me to come home. I had always liked that neighbour, but after that I adored her. Heaven knows what she saved me from. I never asked her how she knew which bus I was on or what time it arrived - I was just very grateful that she did know. Now I live on the edge of town and there's not many people home during the day, I really wish I had a nosy neighbour - instead I have a barky dog who doesn't like strangers.

How fun to sit, knit, have a coffee and hear about your knits , adventures and plans. Raspberries are my favorite in ice cream. JOJI s Elton is on my list now I’m thinking about your pink shawl Ziggy.
I’m sorting out my yarn stash… I just can’t find things I know I have and can’t remember what is in the bottom boxes. I have plastic boxes stacked in a closet. The labels have turned into lies because I move things and stuff things ito the top boxes.
It’s overwhelming so I just work for short amounts of time then walk away, give it a think and try again. One of those things that get worse before it gets better. I am near done. Part of it is winding sloppy balls and deciding what WIPs get repurposed. I’ve dismantled 2 cardigans that have no future for me. Love the yarn so washed and dried it and now I can dream up a new project. I have more decisions to make but bringing them to the surface is the beginning.
Hello 😊 I made the Ziggy shawl last year and I just laughed so much when you said you could knock it out in a couple of days. It took me 3 months of intense knitting 🤣
I also think my gauge was off because I needed 2.5 skeins in the end and it was enormous! I actually have more yarn to make another haha but this time I'll use smaller needles and hope the 2 skeins are enough. Your yarn choice is so beautiful 😍
When I find a baby sweater knitting pattern that I like, I take the largest size and convert it to fit me!
