Value addition on sugar - New M.O.U signed to aid power production in Kayunga

Uganda is moving to establish a White Sugar Production Plant in the Central District of Kayunga to cater for the beverage and pharmaceutical sectors.
The plant which is also programed to produce 12 megawatts of Power will see a boost to the National Grid hence partly addressing power related industrial challenges.
Captain Mike Mukula re-echoed this shortly after witnessing the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between Bbaale Sugar Works Limited and the Office of His Royal Highness Sheikh Ahmed Al Qassim of United Arab Emirates.
