I find myself smiling while watching him eating fruits! I have been planning to go back to Jamaica and plant fruits and vegetables for some time now. I have never had the Ford mango, and I'm sure it's one of the varieties that I would like to grow. I love longon and rambutan even more than I like lychees. I have never taste monsterola deliciosa, but I know that it grows wild in the jungle, but I thought that it was poisonous. I only know that it is edible a few years ago because of UA-cam.
this is the third video of you I have seen and yes I subscribed. Your videos are so informative and really fun to watch. Do not get pissed but you should run for office.
are u serious more bigger than my heart Tommy this mango look like my head lol u are a nice and happy farmer my friend trust me !!! much love and good hugs Family
Longans are available in California in 99 Ranch Market chain. They have a lot of tropical fruit like mangosteen, durian, rambutan, etc. Of course they don't have what you have, huge mango, huge avocados, monstera, jaboticaba, etc.
Im happy that you like longan we have lots in here in philippines..and that mngo we call it sweet giant mango..i have that in my backyard growing yay! Goodluck
I only had this make a one time and it was my neighbor that got it from his job and they gave him a whole bunch. I've been looking for this Mango for a long time.
If you ever come to south east asia, you will have like over 10 varieties of longans to try when its in season. Another you HAVE to try are dokong or duku langsat, pulasan(cousin of rambutan but 10x better!) and mangosteen fresh off the trees
Me too! I want to grow a fruit forest in my country, with every fruit that I can put my hand on. If it grows, it grows, if it doesn't, I'll just try another. I don't want to do it for profit, I just want to enjoy as much fruit as I possibly can within paying for it.
I think of all the mangos this one would be least desirable for growing in pots because the fruit is so big and heavy you need a nice full grown mature tree to not only support the weight but to generate the energy to grow all that fruit.
Chris, I don't sell the Ford because of how dirty they get. I'd be happy to include some in a box for your next season but I only have like two left now and that's the end of mango season for me 😢
I haven't had Ford splitting but they do scar up a bit but they're on the tree till September so it's not surprising. I have other varieties that split.
Are the Ford mangos polyembryonic or mono? Are you going to put them up on your website? You really picked a sweet time to make a video outdoors. Thanks
Hi, the Ford are mono. I don't have enough this season to sell. Yeah this time of year I try to make a vid right before the storm comes so it's not as hot and bright.
I am from Vietnam, i wonder that you have any chance to try the longan from Vung tau- one of the best longan of Vietnam- I tried mostly all the longan in Vietnam but the taste of Vung tau longan is the best. The mixed taste of salt and sweet is really amazing.
Tom how is it that you can go into a publix any time of year and find a mango?? When there is suppose to be a mango season… I’m hearing these are GMO ??
Hi Marcus, They are not GMO. GMO is not common at all. You might surprise yourself if you ask google which produce is GMO, there's only like 4 things on the list. As for your question, the mangos you find now are imported from other parts of the world who are on other growing timelines. Their seasons don't coincide with ours.
He’s not lying. All of those fruits are beyond reproach. Great video.
so good
Great video. The rain added to the atmosphere. Really cool!

I love the rain too....we need more of it! I get so much enjoyment watching you eat fruit 😂

I learned a lot about the difficulties of growing large fruit, I had never heard of this variety of mango. Now I'm craving mango.
I'm so sad we've come to the end of mango season 😢
I feel your excitement Tom, especially since I am coming this weekend to get mine!! Can’t wait to try the Ford. Nice.
just went out this morning and there's still a few the squirrels haven't got.
It's a blessing when you can pick from what you pla t and eat. That mango is a monster. Never see one that big. Keep doing that great job. Blessings.

Monstera isn’t poisonous but it will sting your mouth if it’s not ripe
Oh my lord I need that 😂I literally threw my fist in air when I saw you cut the cheek😂
I'm already looking forward to next mango season. I miss them already 😝
Incredible fruit! Wow. Enjoy the fruit AND the rain. Cheers from Ottawa, Canada🍁
I only have a few mangos left and I'm making every one count

I wonder if any of their longan comes from here.
@@SleepyLizard I would need to check it on the label. Either way: in Florida you can eat them fresh!
@@kaszub the first stop we made when I met you was a longan grove.
@@SleepyLizard thank you for that! That was a great, unplanned day for me 🙂!
Never heard of this mango variety! Hopefully I’ll be getting one next season!
I love them because it extends my mango season into September.

Can the ford mango grow in a pot? Here in North FL I'd have to take it indoors. It looks wonderful!
I think of all the mangos this one would be least desirable for growing in pots because the fruit is so big and heavy you need a nice full grown mature tree to not only support the weight but to generate the energy to grow all that fruit.
@@SleepyLizard Thank you!
Check out the R2E2 variant of mango from Queensland Australia, yum.
sounds out of this world!
Have you ever tried dasheri mango? It’s very popular in India. I want to try growing it but a can’t find it.
You do good videos
🤣
I've never tried that variety
the monstera deliciosa i learned about from you and it is amazing. Do you sell the Ford mango's?
Chris, I don't sell the Ford because of how dirty they get. I'd be happy to include some in a box for your next season but I only have like two left now and that's the end of mango season for me 😢
@@SleepyLizard ill be excited to try them next year
I used to have a tree like that in my home country with double the size fruits. Tree was killed by a thunder!
Wow, what a bummer
Have you had issues with the fruit splitting?
I haven't had Ford splitting but they do scar up a bit but they're on the tree till September so it's not surprising. I have other varieties that split.
Senegalese mangos are the size of your head like that! August is mango season here
yum yum yum
Can i purchase some scions from your ford? Or do you have a grafted tree by any chance?
I don't ship them but if you're local to Homestead you can come by and get some in person.

Hi Marcus, I don't sell trees anymore.
Hi are mangos true from seed
Some are. Some are not. Depends on the variety
Are blue berries true to seed
Damn! Just one of your longan is like 3/4 times the size of the longan available to me here in the uk.
Never had a chance to try the mondtera.
both delicious. The longan flowers smell soooo good right now
