Thanks you very much Karlton for the kind words, really happy you found enjoyable and appreciate you taking the time to comment :) Think we will be doing a different types of Rasbora or Loach video soonish :)

I’m mostly cichlids livebearers and plecos, but I may just start some schooling tanks of tetras I quite like the serpae tetra . Fun fact in 47 yrs of fishkeeping it’s the only tetra species I’ve ever kept lol! Thank you for this presentation🙂👍🏻
Pelham’s Aquatics, totally with you Ironically in the fish room right now we only have Reed Tetras but have kept several of these in the past (some of the photos are ours) and some of the others I would want to keep if they came available, imperil tetra for one, needless to say we spent a fortune on stock photos, we will let my accountant deal with that lol Thank you for the comment, hopefully more plecos to come in the fish room soon :)
@@kellysuzanne976 mine recently breed (embers),without interference, just fed some discus beef heart frozen food and soft water. I was delighted to find the fry. Lemons did the same.
Im a big fan of the tetra species .Always loved diamonds, congos and bleeding hearts black phantoms ,emperors etc.If you have a large group in a tank they can look stunning. Also they are mostly very cheap to buy peaceful and hardy and easy to care for.So many beauties to choose from.Hope your fish are ok now and the new rainbows are doing well.Best Wishes as always.👍👍❤❤
Thanks Mr Aquatic, appreciate your comment! We will try to do another once we have profiled an additional 25-30 tetras, have few we left off such as the rare domino tetra as 87 tetras didn't have the same ring as 85 but def want to do a future fuller list down the line :) Appreciate your comment!
Just found you tonight, new subscriber, thanks for posting. I've kept freshwater tropicals for over 50 years. I've gone full circle, starting with tetras, barbs, live bearers, South/ Central American cichlids, Rift Lake Cichlids, now in retirement I'm down to one 260 litre tetra tank and loving it as much as ever.
You are very much super welcome to our channel and hope to hear a lot more from you on our videos as an experienced fish keeping we will find your input and thoughts super useful! Been keeping fish since I was 5 (if you can class your dad’s aquarium as your own lol) and 45 myself now! You just can’t leave this hobby and even if you do always end up back there sooner or later! Actually super stoked to have you onboard and hope to see more from you 🤗! We are only little but hoping to grow! I’m guessing your name is Dave?? We are Anne-marie and Marcus, pleased to meet you 👍👍
@@Aquadiction Thank you both for your wonderful welcome. I am indeed Dave (Davy to my friends!) I can't pretend to be as deep into fish keeping as you obviously are. It's been a hobby which has always been there in the background to other hobbies which I competed in at the highest level nationally (in Scotland) and photography which turned into a business. Now with more time on my hands we tend to get away in our motorhome as often as the weather and money allows! In Scotland we had wonderful soft water, but now living in Mid-Wales the water is very hard and not to my liking, it don't even taste good!! The area I live is very rural so no such thing as a local fish shop, so keeping up with what's new isn't a regular thing, but a real treat when the opportunities arise. Your channel is a treat and the number of views this video has had is testament to how tetras are still as popular as ever. Don't be down-hearted by the number of views some of your videos have had as many are quite a niche/ specialist type of fish to keep. Keep up the good work and enjoy it, it's appreciated.👍👍
There is something for everyone within the Tetra group... I had a shoal of Kitty Tetra in a well planted tank... beautifully coloured up once settled. Lemon Tetra are subtle beauties: again, big shoal, in a large planted tank... quite impressive (and they're still cheap, compared to some of the newer, flashier fish - so a good sized group won't break the bank). Embers and Reed Tetra are perfect for the smaller tank... Mature Congos in a really big tank with the lighting tweaked to accent their colours (lighting too bright will wash out the colour a fair bit): probably as close to fishy perfection as you can get.
I bet the shoal of Kitty Tetras looked bloody awesome in a planted tank!!! Your right there is a Tetra for everyone, we are up to 100 listed species on our website, hoping to reach 130 by the end of this year and we will redo the vid once we get to that point :)! Tetras and barbs are such great fish!
Thank Yeeyt, yep its coming along, very humbling to know 700 people want to watch our little fish room hobby, successes and failures, mostly failures lol :) Appreciate the support!!
I selected 15 tetra's, those are something different from your above mentioned list in video. My favourit tetra species are easy to keeping and care. Thank for your valuable video. Best of luck. ♥️

On our website we have 100 listed Tetra species if your interested and are working on a complete overhaul of our website which should go live in the next month and will be adding an additional 30 when time allows :)! Thank you once more bud!
I have mostly all tetras in my tank . I have 23 lemon tetras 4 black skirt tetras 3 white skirt tetras 6 phantom Tetras and 2 neon tetras. The rest are guppies gourami's endlers and a Betta . The neon's die way to easy, I had 25 only two made it so I'm gonna be getting a couple of cardinal tetras to go with the neons so they aren't alone .
Hi Kelly, yea not had much luck with neons over the years TBH, cardinals seem to be a more hardy choice and slightly more colourful in our opinion. A group of 23 lemon tetras sounds impressive, such a great fish and we bet put on an amazing display! We have personally not kept lemons but its100% on our to-do list! Thank you so much for taking the time to comment its very much appreciated :)

APSS, agree with you tetras are not our first choice but some of these are super nice, hopefully be able to-do some other species soon, we saw the most tetras featured on UA-cam in a single video were 40 something so thought 85 was a fair attempt back, have a couple more we would have liked to list (domino tetra, exclamation point tetra) but still waiting to buy rights to use theses photos :) As always appreciate the support from ya :)

@@Aquadiction I like looking at the video of the tetras. Looking at the colorings of the fish. Seeing all the information as you see the fish with fish it can be mates with.
Sorry its not really related to the video, but I have a question about tetras. Can tetras mate with different types of tetras? I have two different kinds of tetras in my tank, and I'm not really sure of the genders of any of them, but I've noticed one of them is chasing a different type like they're trying to mate. Is it possible for that to happen?
Hi Bethany, to the best of my knowledge tetras can't cross breed with other species of tetra. I know a few Danios & Rasbora can cross breed but not tetras. They may appear to cross species spawn (we have a loach and Killifish that do this) but the eggs would be sterile. Hope that helps! Unless the tetras are a colour morph, example a regular neon tetra can cross with a Dimond or albino neon. Do you know which Tetras you have?
