Democritus of Abdera in Thrace deserves along with his mentor the highest praise. Democritus and Leucippus were largely annoyed with the elemental theories that had so far been voiced. Instead they proposed a cosmos of atoms and void. Atoms being particles that cannot be destroyed; and of sensory qualities entirely devoid. But like snowflakes existing in all kinds of shapes as well as in different sizes and weights. Atoms have no odor or color or hotness or sweetness. The qualia we experience do not exist in physical reality, but are only a product of a perceptive virtuality. He proposed a class of atoms of a metaphysical kind. Soul atoms are in the human body throughout entwined, and the key substance of our mind. Sight, hearing, smell, taste, and such are all reducible to the sense of touch. Though we should certainly in our senses revel, real truth only exists at the depths of the atomic level. In his cosmic model he envisioned our world originating in a vortex with atoms being whirled and colliding, pushing, bouncing, and conjoining. And the atomic vortex ultimately giving birth to our precious Sun, Moon, and Earth.
1) Do you belive that there is some serious contemporary philosopher you don't know yet? 2) if yes do you belive he or she could discover some deep philosophical ideas that are worth to discuss? 3) if yes do you want to know what I mean?
How would you describe Nietzsche's views of causality? In some senses he DOES view the would as predetermined by forces which MUST result in their complete expression, and thus there is a definite causality and fatilism to the way things work... but these forces are comprised of Will themselves and so his terminology suggests a kind of animation that negates the purely mechanical workings of a machine.
Hello there friend! Check out my friend Jana ESP here on ytube. She's really detailed but in less of a poetic manner like Chiron is. Rather she's very, I guess the words would be pointed and concise rather than blunted with floodgates opened by comparison. Of course I'd contend that you know the thread that's common 😉 because like your very first response, if I recall correctly, was stating that each thing we learn from another is capable of embrace but also denial, and there lies our position I contend. That humankind should wonder in every way how to say "No." to anything and in that everything. But also how in every way they can say "Yes." to any thing and every thing. By : Context or generalities, principles or precision. These corresponding aspects are what gives the human his or her greatest capability to learn as much as they can while they're here in such a state of being. I'll be returning here soon my brother! I've been very busy with writing and I haven't been able to listen as consciously and thoroughly as of late. Keep up the good work as always 😁 - Your Quality Apologist
Haha no worries yqa I shall be here waiting for you! I'll check out Jana ESP she may be more accessible to me than Chiron by the sounds of it as I was intimidated by the size of the undertaking with his channel and wanting to give it good attention.
@@TheLivingPhilosophy I wish I had more channels that were as consice as you are to recommend, only thoughts on thinking is shorter (than Jana and Chiron) and concise (not as concise as you are even still) on the top of my head. Anyway indeed, thanks for waiting, what graces we may have to do so Peace and lov to you my brother - YQA
Democritus of Abdera in Thrace
deserves along with his mentor the highest praise.
Democritus and Leucippus were largely annoyed
with the elemental theories that had so far been voiced.
Instead they proposed a cosmos of atoms and void.
Atoms being particles that cannot be destroyed;
and of sensory qualities entirely devoid.
But like snowflakes existing in all kinds of shapes
as well as in different sizes and weights.
Atoms have no odor or color or hotness or sweetness.
The qualia we experience do not exist in physical reality,
but are only a product of a perceptive virtuality.
He proposed a class of atoms of a metaphysical kind.
Soul atoms are in the human body throughout entwined,
and the key substance of our mind.
Sight, hearing, smell, taste, and such
are all reducible to the sense of touch.
Though we should certainly in our senses revel,
real truth only exists at the depths of the atomic level.
In his cosmic model he envisioned our world
originating in a vortex with atoms being whirled
and colliding, pushing, bouncing, and conjoining.
And the atomic vortex ultimately giving birth
to our precious Sun, Moon, and Earth.
Bravo! Wonderful and again a great summation of the philosophy
Thanks. Once again a great video

Perhaps of Democritus work wasn't almost completely destroyed we would have had calculus before Christ....
Democrats hated truth then and today

By convention sweet: by convention hot, cold, etc etc... Also by convention ---atoms and void. There is no absolute or ultimate perspective.
