    This is a reupload of the Topaz video I made a few hours earlier however I had missed a major point which broke the shard and that was Octavia's Resonator, the ability deals blast damage but does not apply the status effect. The Resonator was able to apply the Topaz Shard bonus hence the AFK/invincible setups emerged. I was unaware of this genuinely so I want to apologize for that. However with that said, the nerf is still a bad one because it completely destroys the interaction with blast, regardless of whether or not it was proc'd from Blast damage or blast status. The major issue that should have been fixed was with resonator as the sentinels allowing you to blast gate felt intentional (even when using it for the brief time) almost gutting the interaction to the point where you need arcane aegis or partial shield on cast feels awful especially when you realize the cost investment. This was the main point about my argument that I wanted to highlight but it seems it went over many peoples head.
    Second, I'm not saying you shouldn't use the Topaz Shard, if you've built it and slotted it on your frames that's fine, by all means use the shard. I'm not here to dictate what you do and how you play, if you find use cases with the shard, more power to you. But for me personally I felt the cost justification was not worth it, considering netracells have poor drops you really only get 2 archon shards a week that rotate with 1 maybe being a tau forge depending on RNG. This much investment should not go punished and due to the fact that you sacrifice 2 archon shards which provide buffs a lot more valuable then the topaz shard for most frames makes the nerf feel even more sour.
    And third the blast gate setup is just cool its utilizing an underrated element that no one uses and turns it into a defensive tool that competes and rivals our current defense methods like Rolling Guard, Vazarin Sling etc. And it also makes Catalyzing shields feel worth slotting instead of being a bandaid fix. Blast Gate gave players who wanted to experiment with building a choice. A choice for players who invested heavily into the archon shard system. And now this choice is gone.

    This has been reuploaded, I didn't mention that Resonator did blast damage and the shard requires blast status, this was a very important distinction I forgot to mention and also didn't notice, genuinely, a pinned comment wasn't going to fix that huge oversight. I want to apologize for that. HOWEVER with that said the nerf is still really harsh for the conditional setup of blast gate, regardless of proccing on Blast damage or status, basically removing it feels awful especially for the time investment required for something that is so specific. Yes fixing resonator is the priority but gutting the shard like this feels really knee jerk.
    And second I'm not saying you shouldn't use the topaz shard, by all means use it if you want, there is definitely niche and specific cases to run the shard on and even on Mesa who doesn't need the shard its cool having extra crit while dishing out Heat. Don't let this video detract that experience from you. I personally cannot justify this shard because of the cost and how specific and conditional the setups are for what it is. Fix resonator and revert the nerf, that's all I ask.

      Blast needs buffing. That being said I've actually found the critical chance to secondary as a quite neat boost because it's additive (flat) critical chance. Of course you'll need weapons or Warframes that do heat damage but note that both works. You do not exclusively need a warframe to get those kills, any heat damage kill counts regardless of the source.

      imho every combined shard should give a base fixed bonus for the warframe and then the secondary bonus to anything else, like many mods like the galvanized set wich gives an even greater boost on kill. Yeah many of the buffs fro mthe others are topp tier compared to this one but man, for what it is giving rn, topaz is the blue archon shard of this bunch (pre shield rework that is, back when it was only usable on inaros and some other guys)

    I feel like blast as an element needs to be buffed. It would be nice if they could give the topaz shard more significant benefits like the Emerald shard does.
    If it were up to me, I'd just make blast a build up style status effect. Like after 10 procs, AoE explosion for % of enemy HP and remove the status.

      It still baffles me why they changed it in the first place. Blast was great back then. Enemies get knocked on their asses, and you get shot less.

      What if it also ragdolled the enemy and the surrounding enemies and lifts the enemies up and away from the epicenter of the explosion? Giving them lift status.

      with the way they have been giving elements more effects through other means I think any status getting a direct buff is unlikely. for example the effect of melee vortex could've and should've been an effect that magnetic has albeit in a much weaker form that scales with status and melee vortex just buffs it to the point its actually as good as corden.

      God mode from pressing 2 one time= balanced. god mode only achievable by a very specific, extremely expensive and 100% gameplay focused requirement, end game only setup that cant even be used to afk nearly as easily as rhino or rev, requiring mutiple weeks to set up correctly= wth unintended we gotta nerf that shit!

    Let this sink in. They concluded that the way to fix the "resonator problem", was to outright *change* the effect, rather than actually fixing the condition given to us by their description (causing blast procs instead of damage). Blast damage and gating got sent back to the shadow-realm while Octavia only got a slap on the wrist.

      They've done this a few times before. Like when Chroma's ability was triple dipping for combined element damage(ie corrosive got the boost applied 3 times instead of once), they straight up changed the frame instead of changing the interaction. And they also reduced the effectiveness of the Secondary buff. Like the only one I considered was Titania, mostly to experiment with a high crit Dex Pixia.
      And in the same patch, they also buffed the Violet shard, allowing it to function like Equilibrium. I preferred the old version, because you couldn't just throw one of those on and basically have permanent energy so long as you got health orbs. Now a couple could replace Equilibrium and Arcane Energize for most builds, meaning certain builds could pull even farther ahead.

      i had id sience launch on titania, was kinda n1 to run a armorstripping flying CRAM

      I was personally using it with a blast verlgas sentinel while levelling fresh frames on steel path conjunction survival. It was pretty neat.
      Having a sentinel + 3 clones from duplex bond pretty much meant you were straight up invulnerable as long as the sentinel was alive or the clones were up.

      Did this with my volt build with one tauforged shard, my Saryn with 2 regular shards and 1 with Oberon. Was able to remove aegis and put other arcanes that had other utility. Used Nautilus with verlgas and duplex and was able to use basically warframe I wanted

      I’m cool with de making changes. But if you’re gonna make these types of changes let me break down my shards then. The netracells is just a useless alternative to get shards since the arcanes you get are common. Which I can basically access through the standing shop.

      To be fair, i can see how this both should and not should be a thing.
      In real life if you chemically combine something to create new thing, you almost never can get that thing separated again
      But if they do such nerf, they probably should've parsed extracted and unfused every tauforged shard while notifying players

      @@nestor5461 Until this video I didn't even know you could get the arcane's that come from the syndicate or drop from the book mini-boss. I thought it was just Netracell specific ones like the one that lets melee hits have a chance to hit twice on a crit hit.
      This just makes me even more pissed off at my lack of anything good from the Netracells this week, and I'm WANTING to get topaz shards for the secondary weapon buffer Ember I'm making to use with the Grimoire.

    I'm glad a bigger channel is talking about this. This is DE's MO though nerfing things quickly and brutally out of panic instead of carefully fixing it. They did this with exterminate missions where people like 7 years ago were abusing spawn mechanics in survival missions where enemies would spawn unalerted for half a second, allowing people to camp spawns and get a small xp boost.
    DE "fixed" this exploit by slapping a hidden timer on freshly spawned enemies where even if they are unalerted, killing them too fast will ruin your stealth multiplier. DE later fixed the issue of enemies spawning in clusters like that, but they never removed that penalty timer so getting xp through stealth as you move through missions causes lots of affinity loss as enemies pop into existence then die instantly and lose your stealth xp bonus.

    If they gave this shard an additional -20% (-30% when tauforged) shield regen delay in addition to the blast proc shield regen effect, it would be pretty interesting: it would allow players to reach the 80% shield regen rate cap with 3-4 shards and make it interesting for frames where shieldgating is difficult (like Lavos).
    As it stands, this nerf is too heavy handed in that it turned this shard effect from situationally broken to completely useless.

      You can try to suggest it for DE.
      There are no shards that provide ES regen delay atm iirc. But I won't sure if they will do it with blast proc stuff at once. They may or may not.

    I hate how they made them decently strong for certain setups, some people invested (either unknowingly or having checked before), then they didn't nerf the things in a few patches, THEN they said that "screw you, shard fuse is not reversible", and THEN they nerfed both good effects.
    I waited for several days after seeing the crit chance buff, to see if people test it, and learned that it's flat. So I thought cool, would be neat for Titania, who has low base crit. A patch went by, or even two, people tested it and learned that it was a flat buff. Seeing no response from DE, I fused my taus. It was still at the bugged state, where the stacks didn't count properly. And then? They fixed it, and changed the crit to be a multiplicative buff, reducing the +75% bonus to a laughable +7.5% at max stacks, while also slowing the stack gain (every 4 enemies apparently). Seriously?
    There was a bug where before, multiple shards didn't increase the 50/75 stack cap. So, they could have just gone with that - fix the color, make it so the intended is max and multiple shards just speed up stacking. It wouldn't be broken for some frames and weapons like Mesa and Nukor, while not being utter garbage on anything else, basically another, slightly more powerful Avenger. But no, we can't have that, and to those who playtested or listened to playtests to make an informed decision - well, fuck us I guess.

    This is interesting, didn't even know it was a thing until they nerfed. I still think the fused shards are some what niche, and regular archon shards just give more flexibility. I feel bad for the people that fuse all these topaz shards and are now stuck with them.

      I could understand 5 normal topaz shards.
      I could understand 1-2 tauforged topaz.
      But i cannot understand 5 tauforged topaz for single frame!
      1. Interaction was definitely broken. I am currently interested in if DE will fix Martyr Symbiosis interaction with Overguard, and here people are getting invulnerability to damage with just single shard basically.
      2. All new shards were supposed to be niche, conditional, while CMY (cyan magenta yellow) ones are more of a generalized stat boost.
      I can see people being angry that they cannot dismantle them, but you all were warned that action is one-directional. Doing this with tauforged should've been concidered twice over as if is quite an investment. Especially so in thing that will highly likely be nerfed soon.

    This seems like it involved more of your brain than playing revenant who just has to keep clicking one button to survive or just having brief respite and catalyzing sheilds and clicking one ability every so often to full gate again and again at this point they’d need to nerf all survive ability

      Isn't "every so often" actually "literally every single second of gameplay"? I swear every time I try shield gating with minimal shields that the lightest breeze pops them. The gate is only 1.33 seconds. If I'm being shot at, I don't even feel like I'm playing anymore it's just a mad scramble for survival.

      as an octavia main i can tell you it was even more brainrot than revenant, you just needed to equip 3 normal topaz or 2 tauforged and cast your first ability and you became inmortal, making the necessity of being invisible to survive non existent, so in my opinion it actually needed a nerf but not as hard as this one

    The entire coalescent fusion shard stats were horrible in my opinion. Not because they are "bad" but because they're too specific.
    The red/yellow/blue shards make perfect sense because they're generic, usable in many setups and provide decent builds regardless of warframe/weapon/helminth ability.
    The fused shards are super specific, requires very specific builds, weapons or mod/warframe combos. I hate it that they provide something entirely different than their base color shards and cannot be defused either.

      Right now green and purple shards are quite frequently used. Orange one is bit in the outsiders now, but it was OP enough to warrant nerf

      I'm absolutely working on a full set of tau purple for my Valkyr build. So far my plans are topaz for Mesa, purple for Valkyr, green for saryn. Haven't gotten much beyond that, maybe purple for Wisp if I want to boost her weapons platform options a bit (+350% primary electric damage is a LOT), at the tradeoff of dropping red shards (strength)

      @@DimkaTsv id think lavos would want greens, either for extra toxin damage, since he can infuse his weapons with any base element. Having said that I never much cared for his kit overall. I have a buddy who plays lavos, he might have a few ideas

      @@edschramm6757 Huge misconception. He can only infuse his abilities with elements (still powerful when you can apply toxin + corrosion + fire/electricity in one ability). But his duration does apply to status effect duration from both abilities and weapons.
      Greens still will work because he can EASILY apply corrosion with toxin imbuement (or S1) and Archon Continuity.

      If not, at least a guaranteed one after doing all 5 runs. They get very boring after a while, and the extremely low drop chances make them feel like a waste of time.

      Worst part is getting a melee adapter, they are only like 20 plat in the market so that really hurts when reward could have been a shard

      @@SalYster Plus you can buy them from Bird 3. I don't mind getting melee arcanes when its the ones that can only be obtained from Netracells but getting the ones you can buy from Bird 3 or a melee adapter is a gigantic slap in the face and makes you feel like you wasted your time.

      @@felixargyle3659i wouldn’t say shards are extremely rare from netracels, did all 5 today and got 3 shards, 1 of which was a tauforged. Did all 5 last week and got 2 or 3 as well.

    The topaz shard was absolutely busted and broken on launch (like Marked for death was). I always found Topaz archon shards a niche thing. The Ability damage on radiation isnt "only" for qorvex. Hildryn and baruuk both benefit from it.

      All exalted weapons can use it well. Since it acts like a multiplier it's actually not that bad combined with the new radiation mods

    I think the true power came from Meele Influence + Exodia Force Zaws, yet another two things you needed to combine. But once you had a Dagger Zaw with all that setup you could oneshot kill clumped up enemies all while the blast damage from Meele Influence spread and raised your shields into the stratosphere. Right before the Hotfix I discovered this for myself and managed to keep a Hildryn at maxed shields just by holding E.

      People do see that, they just don't care as much about game balance as they do about being able to cheese the game into triviality.
      Anyone who found this interaction and didn't think it would be nerfed was just as stupid as the devs who didn't think it would be a problem in the first place.
      There might have been better ways to nerf it, but the game code might not have allowed it. The way status spams these days even making it 1 shield restore would be busted, and fractions probably aren't possible; or limiting to just one shard of that type per frame.

      It also doesn't help that they are nerfing it for the wrong reasons. Read the shard "Blast status" the whole resonator bullshit is working because right now it's bugged to work on any form of blast damage. Look at enemies that are hitting the resonator? Do you see blast procs above there heads? It's only strong because it's bugged. If it worked like it *SAID* It probably would have been fine. But now they completely dumpstered it due to a bug. @@X20Adam

    I thought the crit chance boost on secondaries would be insane till I actually tried it out week 1 on my Protea. Even after building the bonus up to its cap, it was barely noticeable on most secondaries.

      @@waliedsalam2487 I think the main issue actually comes from having to essentially prime the target before killing it. If you're too over optimized you can end up killing things before the heat proc which ends up making the shard useless... Wish it was slightly easier to raise the buff

    Imagine that, DE are worried about people using mechanics that they unintentionally borked yet Frost has to spend 100 energy to get a sniff of overguard and rhino can charge through like 3 enemies with a high power strength health conversion set and make well over 100k overguard in 2 button presses, "but we want balance"

      Frost provides far more to a team then a rhino with thousands of hp does though. We can't just pretend that tankier = better. they each have a contextual power that they provide in gameplay.

      @@IplayTeemoasaWardTL/DR: Frost has some glaring issues and I'm annoyed that they've not been fixed because I still love and want to play Frost, I just wish he was better and I'm using Rhino as a comparable base line as he and his abilities are from the same time period in the games history and is insanely still relevant today but Frost has been heavily replaced.
      It's not that irrelevant when the context was within the video all along, survivability and the balance of it, for example, rhino has access to over guard, 3 of his augments are designed to interact with over guard, one makes it reset able, one makes it scale and one recharges it.
      Frost has no access to over guard without sacrificing a mod slot, when you do sacrifice a mod slot for the ability to use it, the return on cost per EHP is essentially terrible.
      Frost essentially has 2 viable abilities but really if you choose to optimise/prioritise his over guard and as a nice bonus combine it with biting frost for some bonuses to damage, it has a negative impact on his bubble to the point where it becomes sometimes a hinderance.
      Then you jump into other variables such as a range built rhino is effectively better crowd control, being able to hard stun and cancel acolytes and even the archons with stomp, has no line of sight check and 145 range feels good,
      Can be worth 100 energy to use if you don't choose to tweak his efficiency, the key factor here is, 100 energy for crowd control is expensive but it's damn good CC, his survivability is considerably cheaper though,
      if you used a Rhino with a good support load out, roar for the squad usually looking at 150+% roar so big damage buff and has a long timer.
      Rhino is a hard to hit target when you're moving quickly so 100k over guard will last a long while, briefly pausing to CC or rebuff.
      Frost on the other hand essentially kills his momentum and doesn't benefit from it.
      Any over guard he gains can be instantly stripped back off at high level play and sitting camping a bubble is what warfame looked like in 2016.
      Then we talk about the big difference, in steel path circuit, Rhino makes Frost look stupid, he can be set up to self sustain easily, energy efficiency mostly doesn't matter as there's no reason to charge unless you're buffing armour for iron skin and you have a long cool down on roar, means that as long as you're ok you occasionally cast roar and just cc which then prolongs his iron skin life, weird how that works.
      Frost on the other hand is at the mercy of RNG, if you don't have access to a crit weapon, biting frosts boost is a lot worse than a flat damage boost, armour strip as a bonus is irrelevant because just run terrify on Rhino, just means that you're spending more energy to strip armour as well, Frost has no real way to generate help for himself, archon flow might as well not be slotted as it will nearly never kill at high level to trigger it as it must be the ability damage that kills, 1 cant trigger it even with augment and the base 1 and 2 powers are basically sidelined and useless by that point.
      Swapping in breach surge can really help the damage but you're also adding to his energy cost and upkeep and you don't get to use companions in Duviri so no way to save it with equilibrium/synth set or any of the new bond mods, his base lv30 energy pool is horrid anyway only being able to cast his 4 and 3 on a full tank without increasing efficiency, which if you have 2 augments on he only has 6 slots to play with anyway and you need a lot of range and strength to get the over guard to stack better because the base 60 per target is also terrible for high level play.
      It's helped with recent mods like precision intensify but again, you're nerfing the bubble to boost survival, which it makes no difference really when the enemies hit lv1000+ bubbles lasting about 8 seconds no matter what, without additional cc to reduce it's intake of damage, but if you slow down the damage you also weaken the bubble, ohhh dear,

      Depends if it procs, because somewhat stupidly volts discharge and mags crush can't actually proc their damage elements, but frost smacks stacks of cold on like it's going out of fashion, consistency.

    Blast damage is surprisingly used often with more of the melta melees. Such as any zaw with exodia contation and the blast from glaive prime thats used to slash proc a room. So I can see why this was hardcore nerfed. Prenerf it also completely removed the need for any shieldgating mod such as respite and the catalytic shields. So 1 shard doing the mod work of 2 did put it over the top. Can still get the shield regen with rolling guard up and pop a room with blast to refill.

      I’m probably going to be the odd one out, but I feel like the shards actually still work surprisingly well. Like you mention rolling guard is great to set it up when shields break. Brief respite as well as aegis can also be paired for added effect. I used burst laser prime with ramped up fire rate as well as multishot, as well as diriga for aoe application. The shards are definitely still usable and are not meant to be a way to just face tank damage but to be able to quickly get your shields.

    They are great on mesa with the crit, did a 5 hour mot sp with 4 of them (one tau) and the crit was easy to stack to max % within the first few minutes with a primer. I was shredding enemies and if you want to level cap, do 3 topaz and two green shards with heat/corr regs

    i always felt like blast should be really good when used in crowded areas... afterall it's litteraly called "blast" and idk how that and the effect of being less accurate are very related.
    As for the Topaz shard, i think the entire idea to make it shield gate was insane, but now that it doesn't it's practically useless, either change the effect or give it some restriction (maybe like a cooldown lmao).

    I'm using the Radiation ability boost on Oberon. It has the potential to be insanely good on him because of his Hallowed Ground, but DE decided he wasn't cool enough and replaced him with Wisp instead of reworking him. I'm like Quite Shallow with Mag; it wasn't Styanax's fault, it was all Wisp's.

    The nerf seems required. Having permanent invulnerability as long as you are hitting enemies is just too strong. For example I used 5 times armour shard to increase my survivability by 30%, this gives you way more. But only allow regen when you start recharge? That seems useless. They could ignore the regened shield for shield gate calculations instead. This way shou could shield tqnk with this shard, but not shield gate. But I dont know much about the chard or changes so I might misunderstood something

      To be fair, all frames that aren't so old that their kits don't support modern energy economy are permanently invulnerable so long as they're spamming abilities with Brief Respite, nefring shards is only a nerf to already low-tier frames

    Blast procs should make effected enemies be more susceptible to other status procs. Example: enemies within the blast procs AoE suffer a flat 25% increase to the status chance of all other -elemental- attacks they recieve for 10 seconds. This would make it into a great support element without outright increasing blasts own damage. It would be great for priming builds (especially on companions).

      This is actually a really good idea, but at best it'd be very niche for weapons with terrible status chance, it'd be the same even if you buffed that 25 to 50, I could be and probably am wrong though but considering blast takes 2 mod slots to set up that space would rather be used for more damage on non primers and better elements for primers, it'd be an absolute W for companion builds though as you've mentioned, practically no downsides

    Didn't know blast gating was a thing sad to see it go but we have two forms of gating we didn't need another overguard gating and shield gating.
    didn't really use the topaz shard for blast gating anyway once the new shards came out I put a few on Qorvex for that 10/15+ ability damage on enemies that were affected by radiation Status.

    This is EXACTLY why I didn't fuse an orange shard. Actually, I'm not even playing that much, at least until I feel like DE makes up their minds about what will fly and what gets the hammer, so I don't waste my time on a build (Blast Mesa) just for it to be rendered useless after I use it once or twice, or even before it's finished...
    I had a VERY strong feeling these would be nerfed as soon as they announced the idea (assuming they did work as the description said). I'll start playing more again after I feel like I'm a little bit safer from the inevitable "Echoes of Whispers" nerfs.

    I knew they were gonna nerf it, which is why I only made 1 topaz shard for Mag, but to go scorched earth was an overreaction. Especially for an item that is lock behind a massive amount of grind. The buffs themselves are more niche than than what we get from the emerald and violet shards. I agree that there needs to be a balance, but don't completely destroy our shiny new tools because players found a ways to use them efficiently.

    I think the crit boost is basically free to stack, and having 150+ crit chance for secondaries is definitely a mod a couple of Warframes would 100% slot if they could. People are slotting worse mods that don't affect the Warframe. Everything else I agree with.

At least as I'm assembled, that's not a particularly harsh ask, for a very noticable damage bump. Versus a, at best, +25% ability damage output from a full set of red shards (assuming no tau on either side). At least, that's where it would come to for my build. If I was gonna go red for flat ability damage, id probably still want topaz for bonus damage into radiated targets, and just put primed heated charge / convulsion together

    Blast's only use is 75% decrease in enemy accuracy, but having it as a form of shield gating was nice.

    They nerf blast gate and dont touch infinite 12x combo with negative combo duration and didnt touch melee influence triggering on non melee hits so fixing intendent mechanic with barely noticeble consequenses as surviability is not really a problem but refusing to fix actual bugs. Just great DE.

    I kinda see the nerf coming already, either they did not want survivability to be too ez as current shield gating requires active play, and this blast tech is too good to be true since it is shield gating but exceptionally easier and should I say...a little bit much of automation.
    You still can force regen with the partial gate like with 1 augur mods and a sentinel weapon like verglas to proc status like...very very quick, getting back full shield gate with cata Shields mod is nothing with this amount of proc speed.
    A nerf is still a nerf, but doesn't mean it is practically done for, you are still capable of playing around it, replicate some of the power it gives before its impending nerf.

    The most absurd thing about it is, rather than fix the way ressonator and companions interact with the shard they just made the shard itself useless, how about the resources we spent on it? can i get my original non fused shards back?

      It was not companion issue. Issue was that basically any source of blast status just cause shield gain.
      Meaning if you hit at least every 0.33 seconds, you essentially is invulnerable.
      And with having A LOT of AOE clearing stuff to deal hidden blast damage, well, it provided even more shield gating and even easier immortality that was supported ONLY by using one or few of these shards.
      Total cost of such immortality is too low to not brand it instantly OP.
      UPD: sorry, mixed with healing from blast damage... Shields required to influct status specifically. Still not as hard to get.

    Now not only is this gone, everyone who has invested into it is basically getting a kick in the nuts since now theyre stuck with topaz shards they cant unfuse even though adding an unfuse system would be extremely simple. The suggested changes you said are what ive been saying the moment the changes were dropped, especially keeping topaz shards being flat crit but just a lower bonus so they are still quite useful despite their conditions and differentiate themselves from red shards to be useful for some secondaries and not for others. However until we wait a while im waiting on fusing any more shards together since all I want to do is fuse them and use them with my existing builds but im afraid DE will rip them away with a hotfix like my tau topazs were without being allowed to unfuse. At the very least if we cant unfuse them at least let players trade their shards so its not so damn punishing to fuse them and realize you dont want it, therell always be someone that is willing to trade for what you have.

    feels bad, to have the initially most promising shard castrated multiple times. But if one follows twitter and the forums you pretty much knew it was going to happen. Was fun while it lasted, even had a few uses outside the resonator helminth. What angers me much more is the obviously bad and/or wrong ingame descriptions of what the shards actually do.

    I know I was a bit lucky with the netracells but i think over done about 15 runs so far and got 5-6 archon shards 2 of which were tauforged i got like 3 melee adapters and only bad arcanes so i think its not that bad and over a few weeks you can probably gain 1-2 archon shards each weeks

    It should be it in beginning. De make 0.33 sec invincible when lost shield has the reason.
    I still use it on hildryn. I dont test it but arcane aegis dont work when hildryn use 3( and got damage)

    I was nerfed once
    Then again with my augment
    Now since my spears do blast damage the shield gate was a huge life saver
    Now?
    I can still tank but i think this nerf was so unwarranted..if they nerfed shield blast for topaz. Change the health for topaz shards so you get heat on enemies hit by blast procs of some kind
    I seriously hope they dont nerf precision intensify next.

    We the community have to put a stop to these devs nerfing everything. I didnt use this but if i grinded for it only for it to be nerfed into unusable id uninstall the game. Much like the kuva weapons. The devs are full aware of what their doing before and after release. Yall better start standing up or this will continue. Why get anything new when theyll just make it unusable soon.

    The argument for how "difficult" it is to get a topaz shard is the most demented thing ive heard today. And trying to defend permanent invulnerability is also dumb af.
    The revenant counterargument at least makes some sense but the whole shtick of having to play revevant and only revenant while there are millions of other playstyles is the drawback. Topaz shards can be applied to literally every frame and some of those frames can kill everything past level 200 in milliseconds.

    I"m not 100% up on the potentially obscure math of every ability, but isn't the Red Strength bonus gonna have the exact same effect as the identical percentage dmg bonus on radiated enemies.
    Or is it one of those obscure "same thing, different spot in the equation" deals. Or maybe multiplies four times with Lavos condition overloady ability damage or whatever.
    The other whatchamajigger is neato for Hildryn Balefire builds (blazing pillage will proc it). or Titania (if you don't particulary want to put heat on the Pixias, Lantern will do it). Although neither of those needs it lol.

      No, it acts as a multiplier. So 100 damage at 250% strength, 250 damage, with 5 strength shards. 200% strength, but +50% damage due to status becomes 300 damage instead. They CAN be better, but it's a conditional, rather than strictly passive

      @@edschramm6757 I mean, that didn't really clarify it. You seem to be applying both sets of shards at once?
      IE, my read of it:
      100 Str = 100 Dmg (in our made up ability)
      150 Str (5 reds) = 150 dmg
      100 Str = 100 dmg + 50% (5 orange) = 150 dmg (but conditional and doesn't apply to anything but damage)
      Or if we move up:
      100Str = 300 dmg
      150 Str (reds) = 450 dmg
      100Str = 300 dmg + 50% (oranges) for 450
      To where it would jump up would be if it was 10% per Radiation Status proc, but its not, its just "affected by (any amount) of Radiation Status)

      @@RBRSC it's even if you have precisely 100 strength. It's multiplicative with other strength sources. If you have 200 strength as your base, for 600 damage base, +50 strength, to 250, will make the ability worth 750 damage. But +50% damage at 200% strength will make it worth 900 damage instead
