Interesting. Tailwind fuselage and wing planform, but appears wing is fabric covered with duel struts. The title says "Wittman Legacy". So is this a hybrid of the original Tailwind?
Yeah, I did that ONCE! I was holding on to the 'walk me handles' just in front of the horizontal stabilizer of a homebuild. The guy propping had set the throttle incorrectly and she coughed into life at almost full throttle! It was only an A-65, but at that throttle setting about 50HP was playing Tug-O-War with me and winning! I got turned around and went under the stabilizer, bouncing my melon off the tarmac pretty good! The guy propping had managed to get around the wingtip and dove for the bottom flying wires on the right side of the stab as I emerged from underneath. The plane dragged him around the field until he couldn't hold on anymore. With his weight gone, the thing picked up speed and the circles got smaller. In that state, she became unstable, gear danced, caught a wingtip, and nosed over breaking the prop and stopping the engine. As the dust settled, I found my glasses as well as those of the starter. The flight for life helicopter's medic took a look at my head suggesting a trip to the ER. Then the plane got righted and wheeled back into the hangar. All turned out well, I had a goose egg for a few days, prop man had some new flannel and blue jean rags to wipe up oil spills with, the plane got a pretty new prop, and the magnafluxed crank indicated dead straight! Everyone got the wake-up call that you don't start a plane without it being tired down or a qualified pilot in it. These conditions are met in the video... Chocks would be a good addition, though!
Congratulations, can't wait to see it fly.
I like landing gear suspention
hold printer paper over the exhaust, if it sucks the paper in occasionally, sticky intake valve
What prop/engine combination? Thanks! (Great looking plane!)
It’s a Lycoming O-290-D2 and a Whirlwind ground adjustable prop.
put 4 nice new plugs in it, run it 30 minutes, pull the plugs and read them, it will tell you which cylinder aint burning the fuel
its got a miss at rpm, sticky intake valve, put 3 cans of techron in it (or amoco drive your engine clean high test)
We think it's running lean.

It’s a combination of the Wittman Tailwind and a Buttercup.
Wheel Chocks?

It's tied to the golf cart.
