My Ventus 3 had the same noisy DV panel issue which is a common problem these days. It was cured by trying several other panels until one actually fitted correctly.

Is it worth measuring the pressure difference between the cockpit and the static pressure? Adam Woolley did that a while ago to find out up to which vent setting there would still be a negative difference (to avoid overpressure in the cockpit which may add drag when air then escapes at the seal. There are some older articles from DG which show this can have a surprising impact on L/D (something like 2-3 lost). Let's see how good the cockpit air extractor of the 33 is!

For the whistling DV panel you could try some thin clear tape on the edge of the panel to fill the gap when closed. Otherwise some zig-zag turbulator strip a few mm forward of the panel upstream edge will normally kill the whistle.

@@SteFly The AS33es with water on board is limited to a fairly low height, under 6000m, maybe 5000m I think - nothing to do with freezing point........ but 'flutter' speed. Without water its not limited but will be like flying a paper bag.. Just wondered with the battery weight in the wings if height was limited........the JS3 RES is limited to 7000m - so the 33ME could be better for long wave flights with higher wingloading and better into wind penetration. Can't find a 33ME pilots handbook online to check. For the '1000 mile UK wave flight' you need good into wind penetration...... :-) Hoping you get those strong Texas thermals....... at least no worries about Kawa in a Diana 4.............

How long are you able to run the motor at max power? Does it overheat?

    • @SteFly
      @SteFly  7 місяців тому +1

It is limited to 2 minutes but I don´t know if it is really necessary to reduce the power. Up to now I didn´t have any overheating problems. Uvalde will be a great opportunity to test it. I´m planning to self-launch every day.

AS 33 ❤wunderschönes neues Segelflugzeug, perfekt für Touristenflüge.

This model would cost you north of €250'000, however you can practice gliding at a serious level for around €5000/year in europe if you join any decent club. Not a cheap activity but also not completely out of reach for most middle class folk.

      Ha ha ha 🤣
Having a home and family, already became something only the rich play - boys & girls can afford.
      Cycling also comes to mind...
What is left in it, to highlighting aircraft?
I was 🤣 at the beginning, now I consider 😭
Moral of my imagined story is...
Invest in REAL, virtual reality toys.
      P. S. Do not invest in what I have said. (I was only joking)
Rather enjoy through people, like Stefan and others, the like.
But do see to it, that you make time for reminisce and pondering inside yourself.
That way, one at least might find a form of reality, that is acceptable.
😁 OK I am smiling again.
      I have successfully conditioned myself.
I have nothing, but I will be happy.
      🤣🤣🤣😭🤣🤣🤣
My questions. It's only my try, towards grandiloquence. (From the view of a person without Higher Education.)
Armed with a virtual dictionary and demanding amnesty, because I have not mastered the English language.
      🤣😁🤣
