Forgoing the live reunion probably saves them a boat load of money. They don’t have to rent the space, get it all decorated, or hire people to work it.
I HATE that Eric moment. The guy chooses to live celibate until he found someone he loved, but because the tv world is all boobs and drugs Jeff has to make a joke out of it and make the guy say if he got laid. It's gross.
That was gross for both people involved. Whether they've had sex or not isn't anyone else's business. Yeah, Eric chose to disclose that he was a virgin, but that question also involved Jamie who didn't
You're gonna wanna update the Erik and Jaime one. Apparently, they recently had a VERY Nasty divorce. One which resulted with Erik being jailed on DV charges
The Brandon sage is super depressing. He made uncomfortable comments about Mikayla, but apparently a lot of those were misconstrued because he was a recovering alcoholic and she talked about partying a lot which is why he had that weird vendetta against her. He finds a safe home from his demons with Coach and Albert only to realize they played him the entire time and fucked him over massively at the end. The reunion in this video where not a single member of his family is there to support him except Russell who dunks on him (which is wild cuz Brandon was the favorite to win the season sans Ozzy, while Russell made the final tribal twice with 0 winner equity cuz he didn’t have .01% of Brandon’s social game) Caramoan is where Brandon goes off the deep end, but logically he saw a lot of Coach in Phillip and didn’t wanna get played again and honestly Brandon should not have passed any mental health checks for Caramoan cuz he was completely psycho by that point for probably 100 reasons in his life most of which probably were related to the betrayals he felt by Coach and Albert as well as his family. Brandon is a sad story overall. He probably isn’t the world’s greatest dude but his South Pacific story was him wanting to be a better man and his Caramoan story is a man losing it entirely.
I have to say Jeff tearing Dan a new one was one of my favorite Survivor Reunion moments. He’s behavior towards the women one that season was disgusting and he absolutely deserved to be called out for it. Especially after blaming the show and refusing to take accountability for his actions.
I'm a bit confused about the last moment, honestly I thought that was one of the best moments from a reunion show. I was filled with curious anticipation every week leading up to that reveal, following exit interviews and everything, and all of them kept tight-lipped about how the reveal went, so I was so happy to see how dramatic it was when the truth finally got revealed to Jamie.
Jeff feels a bit off throughout the China reunion. There's: The moment in the video. Plenty of comments have pointed out the Courtney/anorexia thing, which IMO is worse. He's weirdly relentless about criticizing Denise's endgame strategy, which, while not anything incredible, is an approach that I feel she explains reasonably well. He also seems to be angling hard for a Courtney/Denise reconciliation moment, and they both just shut that down and say they worked that out between the two of them. (Also, props to Courtney for outright stating she regretted her comments. She has a well-earned reputation for being sharp-tongued, and it's refreshing to see even someone with that reputation able to acknowledge they went too far. I hear so many people who try to excuse themselves with "I'm just blunt," "this is just who I am," etc. Like, you can be an honest person and still be considerate of other people, and evaluate what you said and feel remorse later! That doesn't make you untrue to yourself or whatever!)
Sad enough that Jamie got Erik arrested for domestic violence, where she filed for divorce, saying that Erik has been excessive drinking, fits of rage, bouts of violence, infidelity & attempted rape 😢
Do you have evidence that he didn't do it? Or are you just phrasing it in a way that is sympathetic towards the abuser (*got him arrested* rather than that he did this) for some other reason? In the season 2 episode visiting the contestants again, Jerri looked like she was going through hell because she may have caused frictions with some of her fellow contestants, and Kel was still sour over the accusation that she made (And apologised for in the reunion) and thought it was funny that his squad used her picture for literal target practice. From my perspective that was over the top but maybe I missed some things.

Rosie O’Donnell hosting the “Marquesas” reunion was just really weird.
