This Sub-Zero from Mk legacy didn't deserve to die, because besides he didn't kill Scorpion's clan, Sub-Zero was even irritated when he found out that his own clan killed Scorpion's family, and after all he didn't even want to fight. Sometimes I don't understand why general is happy when Scorpion kills Sub-Zero, when he killed a lowly warrior.
his clan was led by quan chi, disguised as Sub-Zero
the sub zero who killed & wiped-out shirai ryu was none other than quan chi who disguise himself as sub zero. then scorpion become quan chi's puppet put him into the turnament but scorpion was defeated by sub zero's predecessor which is kuai liang, or bi han sub zero's younger brother & after sub zero juai liang told scorpion it was never his brother that massacred the shirai ryu clan he then kills quan chi & join earth realm fighters against shao khan.

@@rmsb1984 i never knew that scorpion defeated kuai liang sub zero, what i knew is bi han sub zero was defeated & killed in a duel for revenge by scorpion before the tournament & kuai liang sub zero defeated scorpion in the tournament, there's many version of mortal kombat i think, mine was from the game itself.

Both Hiroyuki Sanada and Ian Anthony Dale are phenomenal live-action Scorpions.
Though I think Ian Anthony Dale did a better job at capturing Scorpion’s blind rage. Sanada was too calm even in his angry state. And Scorpion is not a calm person. He’s pissed off all the time and he doesn’t even try to hide it.
Scorpion and Sub Zero. Always starred in the best fights.

Are you kidding, sure the special effects were so-so, but the fighting was definitely done by 2 people that dont know any martial arts at all.
I'm not really interested in MK2 because the first one was meh and killed off a ton of characters in pointless deaths. They literally added Nitara just to kill her in a blink and you miss it moment. Why did they set a prequel just to kill off Goro before the tournament? Why is it so hard for them to create a good story?

This has been out way before the new movie was made, this version of mortal kombat was based on how mortal kombat would be if it was based on the real world which is why there is the motorcycle pad look.The new movie was supposed to have the guy who directed this make it but they decided to go with someone else which is stupid imo.This is a web series with a small budget so if this became a full movie with a full budget it would've blown the new movie out of the water but these movie studios always making dumbass decisions.

@@TyrziR6S Quan Chi, while disguised as Sub Zero, ordered the Lin Kuei to kill the Shirai Ryu. That's why he has his men killed in season 2, as punishment for attacking Scorpion's clan.

What saddens me about MK , the best ones used to be written by John Tobias , he never named scorpion bi-hawnn , and he never named scorpion hanszo so those names mean nothing to me ,and the lack of effort to make the costumes accurate , makes current incarnations of this franchise, ,empty and pointless to me , , I was a middle schooler and I waited in lines at the Arcade for my turn to play MK , it was money I earned that bought the first home version of MORTAL-KOMBAT (Genesis vers because I heard SNES version didn't have any blood ) and later bought disappointing GAMEBOY version , , , my money helped make Ed Boon and John very rich , , ,

In 2023 with mk1 around the corner, looking at this, these guys were onto something. I like that Scorpion looks like a dead Ninja specter and Sub Zero, maybe not executed well, looks like a modern day ninja assassin. I mean, this fits the Lin Kuei since they adopted Cyber tech soon after. Obviously they are open to modernizing instead of staying traditional. I'm just saying, the idea has potential if done right.

Is kind of sad yet curious how most of the time, underdogs filmmakers with virtually no money, driven only by their talent, always manage to produce better footage and stories than those who are actually hired and financed with lots of money.

I like this story version better than the 2021 film. This is the closest to the original story where Quan Chi was the real murderer... But the only thing I liked from the 2021 scorpion vs Sub-Zero was the fight since their fighting skills were more actual ancient martial arts style... Straight from China and Japan...
