Hey David thanks for the comment! I doubt if Mel watches this stuff but it would be cool if he did and could offer some helpful tips!! :-) Cheers! Andy
Love it! You and your jazz sound great. Love me some Mel. I seem to hear something new everytime I listen to his works. Right now I'm digging playing Into the Sun from the Live from the 1971 tour, He's tha Man!
Thanks for the comment Clark! I agree, each time I listen to a GFR song I seem to catch something different that he's playing - especially in the live recordings. I've always preferred the original Live Album over the 1971 live album, but since you mentioned it, I'm going to pull it out and have a listen again. Into the Sun is one of my favorites - when I was in a band in the 70's, it was the very last song we ever played together. A lot of fun to play that one because the bass lines are really cool! Thanks again! Cheers! Andy
Thanks Joe - this song is one where Mel is simply tearing it up, for sure. My cap is from Coeur D'Alene, Idaho - fabulous golf course. Been there twice, and it's one of my favorite courses I've ever played. Pristine conditions, and a great layout. And yep, golf is my other hobby - have played golf since I was about 13. Got to a +2 hdcp around 2010. Still play but not as much as I used to. You? Thanks again! Andy
@@AJs-guitar-bass Andy, if you were a +2 at one time, you were tearing up courses like you said Mel is tearing it up on Inside looking out! I do the golf thingy as well, at 76, I still break 80 on a consistent basis. Could be a lot better if my putter would ever learn to help out 😉! Never played Coeur D'Alene, but have driven by it from Spokane on our way up to Kimberley, BC to play the great mountain courses in that area!
Thanks for watching Thanks for the kind comment! I’m wondering what device you’re using to listen to it - each device seems to be different. When I listen through ear buds or Bluetooth speaker the bass seems quite prominent. So it may be that. Thanks again! Andy
Amazing work again!
Don't know if Mel watches this stuff but he is proud I'm sure!

Absolutley one of the best live albums ever! Great cover.
Yep, THE best live album ever in my opinion! Mel’s playing on this album is just stellar. Thanks for the comment Mike. Cheers! Andy
Great cover song right there my son !
Thanks Kevin! It’s an intense tune for sure! Thanks for your comment! Cheers! Andy

Thanks for watching! It is a long song!

Superb cover on this song! You did tear it up on bass, as did Mel! Got your golf cap
on, where is that from? Do you tee it up 😉?

Amazing! My only complaint is turning your bass up just a tad! I mean that as a big complement cuz you’re right in the pocket!

@@AJs-guitar-bass you’re right! I need to run it through my monitors instead. I don’t know what I was thinking.
@@jacksonfritts2988 let me know how it sounds when you try that, and whether it helps a bit! Cheers! Andy
