It's Arrived!!! The LD P06 1/12 RC Unimog Crawler from LDR/C.
On paper, the LD-P06 has got a great spec, including Portal Axles, Axle-Mounted Servo, Reverse transfer case, etc etc etc
But is it any good?? Watch this review and test, and you will find out!

According to RBR/C on Failbook, that opening in the gearbox is designed for a twin motor drive and that motor/gearbox is available separately. Still needs a plug hole for the hole.
Yep. Should come with a simple cover.
Great review James. I agree with all the points raised. The ESC seems to be the same as the MN models with the overload cutout. The transmitter was a liability as I kept hitting with my finger by accident. Will definitely cause me to drive over a cliff. Overall I like it. Just needs some upgrades as usual with these type of small scale RCs. Look forward to seeing what you do with yours. 👍

Hi James. I currently modify mine to 4 links and coilovers suspension to obtain the legendary Mog's flex. It's heavy modifications. You will see that soon on dedicated FB pages. The 2 speed gearbox is already in the LD projects, by the way an unused gear is in the 1 speed gearbox.

@@RCModelsandMods No link for the moment. This is an exchange I had with my Aliexpress dealer who proposed me this 2 speed gearbox. The model would be called LDR/C P06 plus. It would also have a complete lighting kit (rear lights, turn signals and brake lights). The electronic board is already ready. Case to follow.

1. Yours didn't come with the 3 pointed star emblem?
2. Are they oilite sintered bronze bushings? If they are, I don't care because this is a low speed vehicle and bushings are waterproof
3. Real Unimogs have coil spring suspension so they could have copied an MN90 for example and it would be 💯
4. I vote for no music so we can hear the motor, gearbox and other parts. You can tell a lot by the way it sounds

i kinda wish it were a bit smaller :) but i'll probably get one when the "plus" version comes out. i don't have any soldering equipment (or space in a small apartment) so having a full light kit OOTB is a huge deal for me.
btw: any tips on where would one be able to acquire a properly sized Mercedes logo for the front grille? :)

Think it's a size up. There is a link to a metal gear servo in my latest P06 video.
Well that's a very scale looking truck on a not so good platform . Have they ever listed a newer version of it ? I wonder if there's another chassis it could sit on ? At that price point though you can argue as the body is great. I've seen a few suspension upgrade on you tube I wonder if shocks could be added 🤔 food for thought 🤣 i guess you've probably already looked at that option 🤔
Hi. Yeah I am trying to work out how to do multilink suspension bit the trouble is a lot of the gearbox etc blocks the obvious fixing points on the chassis. Not given up though

Yeah. Might work. But I like to try and improve trucks first by working with what you get using a few extra mod or upgrade parts.
@RC Models and Mods yes 100% for a scale trail truck with your steering mod its actually perfectly fine but if you want any upscale articulation then mods are needed. I'm really liking the scale look of the body and for such a cheap price too. Someone also added the res v3 board and added sound too 👌
@RC Models and Mods any updates on a chassis mod yet 😁.. I was watching your mn78 video earlier but couldn't keep up with your specs speech 🤣. Is it possible the mn78 chassis might work under the ldrcpo6 ? As you have both to hand would it be possible to if you have time to see if the wheel base and width would work.
I added some leaf spring mods to my mog but definitely needs a 4 link(yes it arrived, and it's great scale wise) 👍

Hi. There isn't a steering dual rate do you can't adjust it. But you can improve it. I show you how to do this in my '10 free mods' video on the P06.
