The audacity of some these stylist wanting to provide a service without washing their customers hair, it's not only unprofessional but unsanitary and unbelievable. I'm happy the stylist washed your hair but having brown beads on black hair is 🤦🏾♀️ she knew what she was doing by not letting you know. She wanted that $800. You have beautiful hair in the future consider just doing clip ins. These stylist nowadays are overpriced, better off doing your own hair.
But $800 is actually a good price for the stylist supplying the 22” hair wash & style for a estimated 5 hour style. How much would you expect to pay? And she complains a lot in this video you mr hair is short 22” hair is high maintenance.
@@frah275 clearly you didn't watch the video thoroughly. My complaint was that the stylist used the wrong color beads. For $800 she better have the right color. I personally do not wear these type of styles I'm natural and if I did it better be right. Besides I'm not paying that much personally for no hair stylist and I'm blatantly aware the price of certain styles that require high maintenance too. Have several seats!
Lol, actually I did. You had multiple complaints. I just addressed the price, because I know how much bundles cost plus install & products used. You getting defensive and telling me to have a seat over a response and asking a question (which can you even answer) from something you don’t even wear or know anything about. This style is for natural & relaxed. I since this style has recently become popular I’m sure that’s her price until trial & error majority or that money went to products and time that style is a estimated $1,000 and up. Don’t get offensive I’m just having a conversation.
It all takes time... i think if you have a relationship with your guest and educate them on how to cleanse their hair BEFORE they come to the salon... it all comes down to time money and energy ... because this style could start at $500, just for install, there are other things involved cost of hair can be $300 and it all comes back to the one question ... was it worth the experience??? I do take $50 off if my clients want to wash at home. But if that hair aint cleaned, i will add on that the invoice
If you want low maintenance, you have to get your natural hair texture, so when you wash your hair, you don't have to do so much like trying to get your natural hair blend with the extensions
Exactly it's easier for it to be straight imo. I tried curly and it was much harder to maintain. Brazilian keratin treatments helped me so much with that because now with straight extensions it blends easier and it really is low maintenance!
for 4B or 4C hair - Italian yaki is the texture. not Kinky Straight ** you just need to be careful with online buying (some vendors will say Italian Yaki just to off lift their supply of Kinky Straight /Yaki stock
I honestly wouldn’t go by this review 😅. She did a lot of things wrong from the start, like picking the wrong hair, hence why it was so high maintenance. If the bead color wasn’t to your liking you could have told her to go get the color you wanted, it’s New York beauty supply shops all over. Idk wefts are just as high maintenance and less comfortable
Another thing to keep in mind ladies, all of your hair is exposed with microlinks. This is for my ladies that are used to wearing sewins, upart wigs, and wigs. It means you will be straightening your hair constantly especially if you sweat in the back. Summer is around that corner and humidity is real. Microlinks are very much a high maintenance option.
I'd go for a more natural textire close to mines. I'm wearing a kinky straight partial sew in but want to try micro links but yeah I avoid silky textures because of that reason
True Microlinks are NOT a protective style, but they can look really great and be an awesome help for those looking to add length and thickness. Washing and blowdrying(if you choose to do so) isn't very difficult if you are used to doing your hair yourself. I installed them myself. My total price mocrolinks already prelooped, kinky Straight, 200gms, $165.00 + utensils(crimping tool, wooden beadholder & hair clips) were $20. It took me 5 hours, and it was easy to remove. My hair is relaxed but textured.
So grateful for the true and honest review. I've invested alot of time and money into the health of my hair so I want to avoid anything that would potentially destroy that progress.
It must depend on the person because this is actually LOW MAINTENANCE for me! I do Brazilian keratin treatments and readjust my links once a months or every 6 weeks or when I have about an inch of new growth. It takes 2 days to start and finish but after that, all I need to do is care for it like I do with my own and it's not much work! I make sure to blow dry every time I wash and either bun it or braid it every night.
I must ad that your hair has to match the hair texture of the extensions for it to be low maintenance. If they don't match you have to spend more time and energy just to blend it together. It's also easier to have straight hair for this. In the process of growing out my hair I do BKTs but when it's long enough to my liking I stop the treatments and stop using extensions.
TIP 3:24 on natural hair matching. Kinky Straight = is better with 3C- 4A . Italian Yaki = is better with 4B - 4C Kinky Curl best with any type 3. Yaki is process- permed hair
I wore microlinks for about a year (with regular maintenance of course!). Before that, I had a sew-in with a little leave-out in the top. I have a really nice grade of hair, NO relaxer! My stylist is great, and she is great on the micro-link install but I have determined that it's NOT for me! It's a high-maintenance style! They made my hair shed! It's NOT a protective style and I think it's lots of stress on the hair and scalp! Tape-ins are not that much better! They are too expensive to continue to wear. Sew-ins are much better for your hair and scalp. I'll stick with a silk press or sew-in! And again, you have to straighten your natural hair too much!

All extensions need professional maintenance. You should not have extensions...nails, hair, eyelashes unless you are willing to maintain them
There’s different types of micro links. My stylist said the beads were very high maintenance like no mam 😭
girl how does you hair stay that straight? how do you do that?😍
Lol I just wrap it every night 😊
$800?!!! Heck Naw! $400 is too much!
Loool thats kinda cheap compared to how much girls are paying for bundles alone, not incl installation
All I need to know is can these be pulled while doin the do
What salon did you go to
Just found your channel and I’m obsessed! I have a similar hair texture and watching your how you curl your hair video helped me so much!!
So which is better mro links or tap in
never had tape ins so I cannot compare
I’d rather wear a wig ! I like my hair protected
Thank you very much for the review and you look like Anna from the pink teacup by the way a very beautiful girl💝🌹👍
800. 800. 800. That where microlinks lost me.
lol
That's why you don't get this service unless your willing to visit your stylist every 2 wks for a wash and style if you have a tighter texture. Looser textures can maintain this style easier without visiting the salon every 2wks. Definitely worth it if you do what's required and willing to pay for quality.
Thanks a whole bunch. Hight useful. You are beautiful.
Thank you so much!
Micro links break hair. Period!!!
Can you wash and reuse the links
Thank you for the review, and you're very beautiful
Hey what about tape ins?
How much was the service
I mentioned it in the video
Well!! Zoie’ So now you know- You have beautiful hair…. So! No need for micro links again…(not even for your wedding). 😜
800??? 😦
So I’m currently getting my micro links done while watching this , don’t know how I feel quite frankly . But let me get it all done and then I can have an opinion
How's it going hehe 🤭? Relaxed 4c hair here, scoping the internet for microlink experiences😆
@@OgoNkado it’s honestly going well, I have been enjoying it so far, i have only straightened it out once since two weeks ago when I had it done
Stay connected ☺️
brown beads is unacceptable
I agree
😂😂😂😂 my hair dresser takes 1h to install them
Lucky!!
$200 to remove it?! Nope it’s not worth it
Def not lol
You got thd rite colour but not the correct texture hair. The salon did not specialise. You had extra hair once getting it done so it would take longer for you to do. I love micro links.
She definitely shoulda had black beads and they're only supposed to last 6 weeks
Okay, once I heard $800. Im done, DIY anybody
LOL
I do it for much cheaper
I'm a professional hairstylist you don't sound too happy about the service you receive.
800 !????
Yeah 😮💨😵💫
In 10 secs in .. Wait what
I like ya rough style of clamp off ya artificial hair (sorry I‘m just a man 🤷🏼♂️) But you look so beautiful with short hair, you don‘t need that !
Have any tips for blonde guys with thin hair, same lenght like you, getting more volume ? Intercoffeurs always want to cut 🚼
She didn't do it for you??
800??????
yes :/
😮
Should of got very close to your texture
I m first pin please
