She looks amazing! I love the eyes especially and that they can cross. I didn't even know about the Middie Blythes. This is such a fun dolly rabbit hole to fall down!
My name is Regina! I'm in love with Lookie Lou, which I decided to try to customize for the first time through your video! Thank you so much for sharing😍❤️
This is an incredibly helpful video. It’s wonderful to be able to watch you work in such detail, and I so appreciate the generous way you share and explain your techniques. As much as I admire your skill and artistry, it is your gift for teaching, inspiring and empowering that keeps bringing me back-and all of it wrapped in such high-quality, meticulous videography and narration. Thank you for all of it. I’m so happy to have found your videos!
I too have been obsessed with the Qbabys for a long while now and have been close to getting my hands on one, we’ll see how it goes. I have seen this technique on other middies but they are not as cute as yours! 😍💖🥰
She's adorable 😍 Well done on the eyes...wow. The fact that you made it all yourself 👏 I also follow rodgerdollob11...his dolls are adorable....but I don't understand the whole secrecy or exclusivity thing going on there...meh.
Lookie Lou looks adorable 💗. What a great tutorial and I loved the photo's at the end, especially the bee on her nose. I had no idea that Lottie clothes fit middies! Thanks for explaining the customisation; one day I'll be brave enough...... I also love Qbabies and follow quite a few on Instagram, they are SO funny and loveable! You might have started a new craze though by customising your middie! 💗💗💗
Heehee thank you!! Yes it was only recently I thought to try the Lottie clothes on her, great fit! Oh brilliant! They are so cute, I really fall in love with so many dolls 🥰 haha, I do wonder if anyone else will try this!
She's beautifull and so lovely lovely I love her !! I m not an artist and I'm jalous to see what can you do with your doll. I hope with time I can have a cute doll like your Looky lou ♥
Oh my gosh this is so amazing! Really includes every little bit and I love it! Now I'm more confident in customizing my first middie 🥰💜. I've been looking for QBaby too. I did find some on Etsy that might be a recast, but I'll have one someday. I'm glad you found your QBaby and I can't wait to see if you customize them as well!
Thank you so much! I hope you'll have great success and fun when you do! There is a video of me painting and dressing up my QBaby too ^_^ The QBaby artist finally did make a website to buy them from easily, it's here: rodgerdollob11.com
Oh Beth she is absolutely gorgeous 😱😍😍😍. Is she an Ali express doll? I'm considering one myself now... I could never afford an original so it's my only option.
They really are adorable! I can’t wait to get into customising more of them, I’ll definitely be keeping a mixture of both for myself 😁 Thanks so much for watching!
I love how this doll came out! What type tacky putty did you use to hold the foil in place? Is it ordinary sticky tack (I don’t recall the actual name) that is used to stick paper to walls? You inspire me to try several things on my own dolls. Thanks.
Lookie Lou is just darling! You did an excellent job explaining how to duplicate her eyes. I always enjoy your videos. Do you speak Chinese? Just curious.😁
Thank you Susan! 👀 I have been learning Japanese for quite a few years now (still a lot to learn!) and I know some German and a little French, but I can only say hello in Chinese! 😆🤣
Could you tell again about type of an eraser? cause my english listening is not so good to heard that so thank you very much about you clip it so useful for me for new make up my doll from Thailand 🥰🥰
Thank you for watching! No problem! It’s called a putty rubber, or a kneadable eraser. It’s an artists tool, and is softer than a usual eraser. It can be squashed into a point to get more accuracy. Hope that helps! ☺️
She is so cute! Thank you for this video it's really helpful. I was wondering - this blue tack - is it durable? I mean it doesn't dry so it's sticky all the time - I wonder if it's easy to damage such eye mechanism? I am customising Petite Blythe and I made my own eye balls from polymer clay and thought I could use that blue tack to stick the eyes but I don't know if it's durable enough?
Thanks so much! 😁 This is the same kind of tack that you will find holding BJD eyes in, and that same stuff that Culture Japan use to hold their Smart Doll eyes! It will certainly be durable enough as long as you use enough of it, and, for this type of tin foil moveable eye mechanism, as long as you’re not forcefully pushing the eyes into the head (which I’m sure you wouldn’t do!) 😆 You could certainly use it for your Petite eyes, I already used it to hold in some new eyes for mine! 👀
@@monikaempinska9211 no I would not use that, epoxy and milliput cure hard like concrete. It would be a permanant bond that you would have to drill into to break. You would not be able to remove the eyes again. Look for poster putty, white tack or blu tack instead 😊
@@BethRamsden you might be right but if I make a doll for sale I don't think new owner will want to change her eyes? Also I don't want the new owner to accidentally push the eyes into her head... hmmm I still don't know what to choose...
@@monikaempinska9211 personally I would use lots of tack to secure the eyes, if the new owner does want or need to change the eyes, they can do it more safely. Watch the RodgerDoll video and see how much tack he uses ☺️
I’ve only opened up this one, which came from AliExpress, I unscrewed the back and kind of squeezed the sides of the head (like with a Neo size Blythe) to get the sides apart a little, then I pried off the back plate, there’s another screw for the scalp I believe, which you can access once the back is open. I found nothing was glued together with mine (unlike genuine Middies) so it all came apart okay from there. I think BeBe Blythe has a video showing this too. Hope you manage to get her open okay!! 😊
@@BethRamsden I will keep working at it. Mine is from aliexpress as well. My large blythes came easily apart but this girl is tough. I'll try again! Thank you!
Ok got her apart finally...a bit of work and I damaged one of the clips but I don't think that will be a problem. Whew that was nerve wracking. May I had a stubborn girl 😄
@@littlebopeepcattery2186 phew!! Yes once the screws are back in I don’t think the damaged clip will matter. I just got a new stock Middie that I absolutely can’t get apart!! 😅😭
