OMG, Beth You have outshined yourself once again. You just keep getting better and better and better each time you work on a new doll. This doll is absolutely amazing and so "Precious". I almost had an Astrid as a granddaughter if my twin grandsons were a girl or two girls. Astrid was a name picked out for a granddaughter from my Daughter in Law. It is a Swedish name. Astrid was the first name of the woman who wrote Pippi Longstocking books. I never knew they had chubby cheeked Blythe dolls like this? So cute with her little gowls and kissy lips. I love her eyelids because they look so very 70's or maybe in 60's. That Bohemian Look to her is adorable. I didn't know we could sew with 11 1/2" Barbie doll clothes for the Blythe Dolls? I guess I never thought of that before. Her backplate is so detailed and adorable as well. You know I love the Mushroom in red of course. Beth I am dreaming of the day that I will be one of your Patreon Members and also be able to commisson my very own Blythe Doll from you Beth. I love her accessories and her shoes and especially her leather corset with olive green lacing. Top Notch work! Her peasant blouse and dark sage green skirt compliment her so wonderfully. I love her makeup and her pullstrings and the charms you included. Beth, can you tell me who made that fabric that you are shipping her off with? What company made it? I love all the mushrooms and the Gnomes especially. It's to die for! I've missed seeing your Blythe Doll commissions and the making for the whole process of the doll and ensemble. I hope you are having a wonderful Summer? I am personally very glad that it is almost over to tell you the truth. Heat and me do not get along. I am more of a Autumn and Winter Girl. The World Wide Lockdown for 13 Days will happen during the middle of October so get stocked up. A member of the White Hat Alliance let us know about. Now I know a round about time frame for this to happen. Talk to you soon. Love You!
Oh how lovely Elaine! It’s always interesting to learn more about names too, it’s a very pretty name 🥰 Thank you so much, your lovely comments are always a joy to read! Her travel bag is made from fabric that was actually a duvet cover, I bought it just to use the fabric! 😉 it’s from Asda here, which is owned by Walmart, so maybe there’s a chance they’d be there too? Take care! Hope your family is doing well ❤️
I’m so blown away from the costumizing video of this little girl. She is so cute and adorable…the clothing and accessories are incredible… lucky owner of this beautiful doll. Thanks for sharing
Oh my goodness where do I start, I love the blouse, the headband, the corset, the utility belt overall she is just gorgeous, Astrid is a great name for her 🥰🥰
She is absolutely adorable!!!!!!! I love all of her accessories too, and the mary janes perfect!! i love the chubby cheeks on this sweet girl!! 🥰Great Job Beth! Have a wonderful week!🍄
Astrid is absolutely beautiful 😍. I love the style that you gave her and, of course, all the handmade goodies. That belt was inspired! Lucky owner 🥰❤️🤗
As cute as always. My daughter would like to know if you have black and white drawings of Blythe in different outfits. She wants to make a notebook of the outfits. When I used to do custom smocking and heirloom clothes, I had a black and white drawing of the outfit I would place a piece of fabric, laces trims, and floss for the smockind.
Thank you! Ooh I might have some line drawings from my patterns I could send. Please use the contact form on my website to message me, then I can reply with some pictures for her 😄
I've got 0.8 and 1.5 mm cords - I think you'd get away with 1mm for both though - It just has to be thin enough to get through the lower hole, it's a real struggle with thicker cord!!
Yes no problem! I bought her here, on Ali Express: www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006433771299.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.16.1d0d1802UVMyfb
Astrid is lovely, and her eyelids are beautiful autumnal colours.
Oh and I've long thought that a Bettie Page Blythe would be amazing.
Right?! One day maybe ☺️ Thank you so much March!
