You know what, Aaron? Even if the machine didn't give you the achievement you EARNED, you still earned it. You literally did the achievement and the game's just being a pain. By any metric beyond the game's buggy BS, you got the platinum.
Absolutely painful that the game betrayed you. I have a sealed copy of Gollum in my collection that I got for free because my buddy knows I like to platinum hunt too but after watching that, I think its going to remain sealed for another 5 years 😂
The save delete and download your save again seems fair and square while this game is playing dirty. I would do the same 100% as completionist if the game kept crashing glitching.

With a game full of glitches and bugs you can't even consider cheats as cheats. You earned this platinum trophy and no one can deny that!... Whenever I see gameplay of this game I feel sad because I don't think the designs and story are bad, they are just poorly executed. If the studio had stuck to its roots and made this game a click and point adventure it probably would have turned out good.
I guess not as many people might have been interested in that kind of game though so they’d want to increase potential audience size? Or they just wanted to branch out, can’t blame them for that either! The game had the makings to be awesome and it’s sad to see what we got in the end :(
Wonderful video! I was there for most of the first playthrough, it was entertaining (tho painful)! I'm honestly so glad you ended up savescumming for the deathless challenge, can't have you losing TOO MUCH of your sanity
River Hobbit is one of the dumbest achievements in the game. Why? Because there's only one place in the entire game you could even get it, and the amount of swimming is equal to if you could swim through the whole game.
Literally! There were so many trophies that were just ridiculous tbh and were things you would NEVER do 😂 Made it worse that they didn’t give you definite amounts on any of them as well
if it matters! i have confirmed that if you are about to fall and die or be caught that you if you hit main menu and go back in and still complete the game without dying or being it will unlock since the game over screen never appears! i finally unlocked it!

Im so glad i am more cautious when buying games now. A younger and more irresponsible me would have bought this game day one when it came out. Remember folks always wait 3-4 days before buying a game no matter if its your favorite franchise or not.

I think it was the response from the gaming community that just pushed them away from development. It’s a shame because they could have learned a lot from this and definitely made their next outing even better!
If you have ps+, you have the ability to save your data to the cloud they provide. Basically all you need to do is turn off automatic backup ups to that cloud, and then manually back up the save whenever you want to by turning off the game and going into its options. To download it again, just delete the save data from your console and then download what you have from the cloud :) Hope that helps!

I am wondering if the game can potentially catch you savescumming, so if you do die at any point it will remember it even if you reload a cloud save.
Most people online used this method in their hunts from what I read during my research so I don’t think so? Unless they’ve patched it since then 🙄
