Within the Four Symbols of Chinese legends, there're 5 mystical mighty creatures that represents the 4 corners of the winds, seasons, and the 5 spiritual elements. 1) The Azure Dragon is the east, spring and wood. 2)The Vermillion Bird (a Chinese and Japanese phoenix) is the south, summer and fire. 3) The White Tiger is the west, autumn and metal. 4) The Black Tortoise is the north, winter, and water. And 5) The Yellow Dragon is the central, midsummer, and earth.
Perhaps the Central Creature is actually a Fusion of the other Four Creatures(Dragon, Bird, Tiger & Tortoise), when they all combine into One they form a Creature similar to the Qilin, which would be the Central Creature in order to represent the other Four coming together in perfect unison in order to create harmony within their ranks.
Except those dragon are greedy and evil, they are supposed to govern the route of rain to make the world prosper and to preserve life for human to survive that's Thier origin , the dragon are celestial being that is sent to earth by the greater celestial God for a permanent mission Some dragon are doing its job , But some are nasty they are eating human
I have a koi pond and I have a waterfall that flows back into the pond and I sometimes see one them trying to swim up the waterfall. It always makes me think of this story.😊

There was an old saying before the 21st century in China. "Students taking examinations are like carps swimming upstream a waterfall." That phrase is no longer used due to modernization and the Chinese government sees this as more of a child's fantasy following an exaggerated dream. Even my parents has never heard of it. My grandfather on my mother's side was the only one who remembered this story and he had a vague memory of it told by his father.
Lessons that can be taken from the story of the magicarp who wanted to fly and ended up becoming a gyarado : No matter how big our dreams are and no matter how difficult the obstacles, as long as we are willing to try, it will definitely produce results
A very motivating story, keep fighting even if you go against the current, like a koi fish that continues to climb a waterfall, which seems impossible but the koi fish has proven it. I remember One Piece when Luffy's crew climbed the waterfall on a trip to Wano, Kaido's devil fruit was a koi fish that evolved into a dragon.
@@truthspreader1996 the story of the carp fish turn into a dragon was the inspiration to Kaido’s devil fruit in one piece where before we don’t know what type of fruit Kaido ate which is we now know how his devil fruit wasn’t called the mythical dragon dragon fruit but instead called the mythical fish fish fruit model azure dragon which the inspiration came from this story
I have a tattoo of the carp in my back as this story impacted me a lot when I was younger, through my life I have been able to go over obstacles like the carp, let’s keep all going and being happy , blessings to all ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🎉🎉🎉🎉

Some say the middle was a qilin which also a symbol for earth but by the looks of it, it depends....
What about the qilin? Isn't the qilin also a divine being in Chinese mythology?
Perhaps the Central Creature is actually a Fusion of the other Four Creatures(Dragon, Bird, Tiger & Tortoise), when they all combine into One they form a Creature similar to the Qilin, which would be the Central Creature in order to represent the other Four coming together in perfect unison in order to create harmony within their ranks.

Ah yes... The story about how magikarp evolves into gyarados.
For real that was exactly what I was about to comment Pokemon 🤣😅 Ash catch'em all!
This only further confuses me on why Gyarados is not a dragon type.
Unironically yes. Marikarp is based on this legend
They're evolution is based on this myth
Yeah. Except the "keep switching Magikarp for exp farm until lvl 20" part
This is such a wonderful story. Though I do feel bad for those Carp who died.
I don't think they died. They just gave up the hard quest and returned home...
It is a story of hardwork. Not every hardwork get the some result. But at least the died carp already try the best.
Lesson: your life is one of death and despair of you give up on your aspirations.
RIP Nishikiyama
na,they are dead, this is an actual natural phenomenon, carps do it to repodus,no dragons though
Shiny Magikarp is gold because in the original tale the karp turns into a golden dragon.. Man Gamefreak really hide so much lore in these details..

You should try feed it some candy
this legend inspired the pirate emperor Kaido in Echiro Oda's popular manga/anime One Piece & his devil fruit
But his life and appearance look like Genghis Khan.
Why do you have to say one piece by oda people who already know about it will get it by seeing it
Came to find out why his is a model of the Fish-Fish fruit 🐉

Beautifully told, and an amazing story
it's where Oda got the idea of Wano's landscape and Kaido's devil fruit
I love tattooing these.. specially the koi dragon transition
I would like to future videos of the Journey to the West and Nezha.
I will hold onto this Mythology!
The illustrations are awsome!!!
Kiryuu vs Nishiki
Lets go!
I love this story although hearing it many times, it never gets old

My favorite mythical creature, beautiful story ✨

Amazing story telling. I knew eastern dragon was a water dragon evolved from carp. I didn't know the story until I watched this.
The whole plot of yakuza 1

good story and can be used for learning with good animation
That kids is why Magikarp evolves into a Gyarados
This legendary story is very good, it can motivate someone who is trying to achieve what they dream of
So this basically Kaido’s backstory
I'm not connecting the dots?

This story of carp is exactly 💯 relatable to my own very personal but meaningful and relevant life...story.
Very good story and I liked it

The story is good, this legendary story taught me not to give up easily under any circumstances and was given an explanation

The Story of Magikarp.
The legend of how perseverance was born
The background music is beautiful🥰
For anyone who doesn’t know real life carp can actually swim up a water fall by doing this jumping flopping motion

interesting and good legend story
In Serbia some older people say that when a fish of a special kind grows to be 100 years old he will transformed himself into a dragon
Yes.. I have zee 🐉 dragon.. It lives with me.
Kaido's devil fruit
Yes
I love the origins of olds stories of the great mythology of gods u love it your the best can we please get more Celtic please
this story is very good
What a magical karp.
Magikarp?
So this is why Kaido's fruit is a "fish-fish" fruit model: Azure dragon.
"If it's one to one
Always bet on Azure Dragon"
Magikarp: keep laughing now but I'll be a Gyrados and show you all!
So that’s why magikarp turns into a gyarados
I just love ❤ 🔥 🐲🐉.
Simply summons into 4 Chinese characters:
鯉躍龍門 or Carp Leaping Dagon Gate.
Kiryu and Nishiki
Nice animation 🙂
Ah certain aquatic pocket monster from gen 1 somehow explains this story.
And now, you know where Magikarp came from.

That carp really said: “row row fight the power”
The Chinese anime "The Adventures of the Little carp" is loosely based on this mythology.
鯉魚躍龍門 which translates to koi fish leaps(over) dragon’s gate
in a 1v1 battle always bet on the "mythical carp"
❤🐟 eine wahre Begebenheit - 🐲
So an allegory for the sacred secretion?
I hear a story of space travel and learning to travel between the stars!
this is how pokemon and kaido awaken his dragon fruit
Kaidos Devil Fruit explained lol
i think im the only one who knows this story from yakuza
Can you make the story of tha Nian monster that inspired the lion dance of the Chinese new year.

imma start petting a carp
I thought this was Japanese mythology. Probably because I thought those carps are most commonly found in Japan. Great content everyone! Keep it up
Goku is also Chinese but remade by a Japanese. DBZ is based on A journey to the west
Japanese was influenced by almost everything Chinese, even their religion Shinto or Shen Dao, was also influenced a lot by Chinese Daoism.
