Lice like clean, non-oily hair.
Because of the products we have to use in our hair, in order not to be "threatening" or offensive to white people while our hair is in its natural state, we don't get lice.
@@warrenbfeagins Lice is in America. Black people have hair. That means black people get lice. Maybe they're just not as open about it and keep it on the low but no hair its magically immune to lice unless its kept in a condition where the lice cant thrive. Just depends on how your hair is kept.
@@Justin-nq6kf No we don't get it in America. Do Black people have hair? Yes,. Did I say we had some magical immunity? No. We do maintain our hair differently. We put oil or lotion on our skin which White men seem to not do, we also groom and or use different products on our hair. We use things like Sulfur 8 and other oily products to keep our hair moist. From what White people I know have told me, they don't do that shit and they wash their hair daily. We don't do that shit either because we want to maintain some of the oils on the scalp and in the hair. Now from what I'm told, oily hair is not a favorable environment to lice. If that's true, that explains it, but don't tell me what we do and don't get and you are not us. I never heard of ANYONE getting lice until a White 3rd grade friend of mine told me about it. Now I have no idea about what they do in Africa, nor am I saying Blacks CAN'T get lice. What I am saying is Blacks who been here for centuries don't have lice and even Teacher admitted that she NEVER saw it with Black kids to the shock of coach. Lastly, you don't have to not be open about lice. It's visible.

Growing up in an at the time mostly white country, I can confirm that on rainy days the busses smelled like wet dog. Nowadays it's a mix of that, some kind of umami and a bunch of different spices, almost no matter who's on the bus. The question is, if everyone ate and drank the same things for a year, would they still have different odours?
Watching how uncomfortable you guys are while watching this set is the true "reaction". Now that makes me laugh. This is comedy, relax. This is why Bill Burr is so good. Like the legends of past. You with the rest of the world need to just relax and have a good needed laugh. We are all subjects of comedy.

We (Black folks) have naturally dry hair which has to be supplemented with oils. Thankfully, it makes for an inhospitable environment for head lice because in the rare situation where we do get lice, it's tough to remove due to the additional surface area provided by tight coily hair

Ive always heard thick curly hair is good for preventing lice and I say this as a white dude with thick curly hair whose entire family has gotten lice twice including my black grandad and I didnt get it either time

Lol you are a lucky man Coach. Got a wife with a sense of humor but she tries to keep her composure and try to hide behind the innocent/pure reactions (and we all know she wants to laugh so bad at the risky jokes). Watching Teacher's reaction kind of reminds me of how I used to react in church, you know, the kind where people have "seizures" lol the kind of church where they can "Feel His blessing" to a point their heads shake and mouth foams up. I dont go to that church anymore ever since i moved to an Orthodox area. Love the services, very peaceful and humble. The wet dog thing is something from the north east in the 80s-early 90s. Whenever it was raining black people would say the white people around them smelled like wet dogs. It's from the times of calling each other African booty scratchers, white out, etc.

It sounds weird but happens to be true that people who identify as black don’t typically get lice infestations.
I've heard it has to do with curly hair. I'm a white guy with curly hair and I am also quite lice resistant.
It most lokely may have to do with geography. Cause in africa, we do get infected however uncommon it has become
@@dr.j7542 No, because if that were the case, ADOS would get it here in America along with White people, but we don't, or neither of us would get it. It's not about geography, it's about the oils we grew up using that is not a fertile environment for lice. Even the poorest ADOS child will not leave the house without having oiled their hair and skin. White folks here don't do that. In many African countries a poor child may not have Sulfur 8 or whatever to use, so the hair is dry and more attractive to lice.

I have to say, just maybe to break any tension.. :) My heritage is Mexican, and let me tell you all. My people do think some F@!ked up things about other "races".. I put in quotes because I think the only race is human. I've heard some vile comments growing up.. :( ...Sorry, I didn't mean to be a bummer and such.

I beg to differ. There are other species put in different categories for fewer differences. For sure, that doesn´t mean you automatically have to hate others, but it is a fact people should accept.
It is actually a matter of life and death as for example some medications affect people from different races differently. The same goes with organ-transplantation.

Trust me. I live in Africa. Black people get lice too. My friends who have been to prison say there were a ton of lice. You could literally see white specs move all over the place at night. I saw the same thing once when I went to visit a friend at a mental hospital. You could see them crawling all over people's bodies. The place is very chill and you can actually bring your car to the compound but no one ever does. If you do. You're going to take them back home with you.

Black people can get lice but not as much as white people due to the treatment and length of hair. Black boys tend to have short hair that lice struggle to survive in and both girls and some boys use oils that would kill lice. As white people tend to have longer hair and not use oils, lice are able to survive and grow easily, avoiding black hair. There are lice in Africa but different breeds. I'm mixed race but never had lice.

If you're black and don't live in Africa, chances are the lice in your country would rather avoid your hair because they haven't adapted to it.
