    Thanks for sharing. I've seen that UV activated glue but I've never tried it: I'll definitely be picking some up. Also, Trailer looks great! have a great week.

    I'm currently doing this kit and having done several other trailer builds, this one was actually the best one I've worked on. It does require a bit of space to work on it. Not quite finished as I still have the hoses to go on. One thing not clear in the instructions is where all those hose connectors, parts #48, go on the trailer. They show where two of them go on the bottom but the others are pretty much guess work. Other builders have noted that as well. I'll see how the hoses hold using regular superglue, if not at least I know now there is a solution! Thank you!

    • @ScaleSpeedworks
      @ScaleSpeedworks  6 місяців тому +1

      The hoses were definitely tricky 🤔 but then again, it’s on the bottom of the trailer. Make it look good from the top and you’ll be happy with it 👍 Thanks for stopping by!

    Hey Mike. This is the trailer that I'm going to be pairing with my Chevy Bison semi for the " portable parking lot " build that I'm working on. Your version looks really good, by the way.

      Many thanks! My advice would be to pre-assemble as much as possible, it’s pretty straightforward. Mine had pretty hefty seam lines. Best of luck, I look forward to seeing it on your channel! 👍

    nicely done my friend, love your logo on it, spare tires under the carrier too. Yes i occasionally use UV glue, works fantastic in certain situations. Gorrilla glue is a tad pricy here, starts at $15 for the smallest tube and goes up $$ from there. Cheers and nicely articulated final...

    I print my own license plates so that they are from my home state and in from the year of the car. I always use the elementary school stick glue to attach them to the car. So far, it's been several years and they're still fully attached and no yellowing. That stick glue is good stuff. I also use it with dollar store aluminum foil to do my bare metal foil. I think it works better than bare metal foil and it's washable with water. The chrome I did using that method is also several years old and still in place.

    I built one of these to go behind an AMT Freightliner DD, painted to match, for a fictional transport company, and it's loaded with all 1970 model year Plymouths, on its way to a fictional Chrysler-Plymouth dealership.
    It goes together well, and looks great when done. That green bottle Tamiya glue on your bench is what I've sworn by for over 10 years. I've built some real turds over the years like the AMT '65 Mustang Funny Car, and the Heller Porsche 917k, which is truly a terrible kit. Both look great when done but are more of a pain in the ass than a barbed wire toilet seat. Never had Tamiya's glue let go, and had something come apart.
    The only times I use CA or "super glue" is on resin kits and parts.

    • @ScaleSpeedworks
      @ScaleSpeedworks  10 місяців тому +1

      The Tamiya glue is my absolute go-to for unpainted parts ever since I left the Testors tube glue behind 😆 The super glue is almost a must for painted parts, but still no match for the Tamiya. The ‘70!Plymouths is an awesome idea, I love it! Thanks for stopping by 👍

      @@ScaleSpeedworks I'm slowly building my fleet up, I've already built an old Autocar all rusty and everything, and that has my fleet colors, as when the company has started in the story, as I build the trucks the colors will change slightly, as a truck's get newer, I've built a little boy using one of the colors, I have built a custom shop truck with the newer colors, slightly damaged and beat up as it is a shop truck and use it as such lol, I have several trucks and several trailers to build, I've even made my own decals using the abbreviation BSC hauling company, and some with my logo and full name, I do have a video of the little boy trailer and the Autocar truck being built on my channel, I'm hoping soon to get back into doing more of my fleet, and will eventually be building the 70 Chevelle mascot car of my logo. Love watching everything you do on your channel keep up the great work my friend. If you ever want to do a body build on a big rig let me know.
