Omg!! This is the realist video . I'd be exactly the same. Its 1 thing to watch videos of them but when you are confronted with your first and you've got to wrangle it, shit gets real! Loved how many goes it took you to finally get the tissue off him and then you just put the open tub in front of his enclosure hoping to God he'd just take it upon himself to walk right on in. You kept saying why isn't it moving, thank bloody God he didn't, you'd have shat yourself. Luckily for you, poor thing had a bad journey! I may eventually get a tarantula so it helps me to see people reacting like this on their 1st crawling pet, then the progression to where you are now. They are so beautiful, but soooo many legs....
Zed actually passed away 2 weeks a go which broke my heart but looking back she was such an amazing character in my collection. Tailless Whip Scorpions are very fast and I most certainly would has passed through. We don't all start off confident and assure of ourselves, its all about progression and learning. I have come along way in a short about of time, and I due time when you are ready you will also learn as I have, but you'll have my videos to compare yourself against, everyone I was watching was confident and sure of what they was doing. I've never been a handler but I have wanted to be able to handle, but that's OK, not everyone can do what others can. I once said I would never get a tarantula but then I found out about the Green Bottle Blue and its gone on from there and is still one of my all time favourite tarantulas to own, it was the colour and the attitude that sold me and got me past the legs and the fangs and I bought one, the fangs still scare me but the legs just look funny to me now especially the way some Avicularia walk.
Thanks for replying. I.m binge watching your vids now + the very next one you had was my tailess whip is pregnant. Ooh if you'd known that when you did the unboxing! 😱 But you got so used to her you were like a concerned parent. Sorry she's no longer here. You genuinely couldn't have started off with a better animal to build your confidence. Your advice is much appreciated
She was my 1st baby and I have her in a frame atm. Zed will always have a place in my heart, I love all of my babies but she was my 1st. Its a pleasure to reply, thank you for watching my videos, it means a lot.
That whip does seem a little sluggish but it has been shipped ect so just keep an eye. Either that or it's more stubborn than mine 😂 i was kinda hoping it would dart though... only because my sick sense of humour would love to see you freak out 😂 I'm sorry. That's a cute little guy though! Confidence will come with time, we all started somewhere. Whips honestly though will not hurt you. I think its the darting factor that make people edgy. I dont know. Thanks for the shout out though (; great video, looking forward to getting some updates 😍
Hannah'sEmpire I'd loved to have watched back and see me freak out too because that's funny, will keep an eye on it and welcome on the shout out (it's all your fault after all haha) will update tonight too and thinking of doing a feed tomorrow when I know if it's OK
