How could Olaf One-eye be in Sovngarde if he didn’t kill Numinex if all his accomplishments were fake. It’s not like the spirits of Sovngarde couldn’t see the dragon being slain. Also could the Olaf One-Eye that returned to Whiterun be a different Olaf and the real Olaf died an went to Sovngarde during the battle while the fake Olaf returned to Whiterun as an imposter and he was made as a draugr as punishment for his lies?
It's if you die a violent and honorable death that you gain entry into Sovngarde, if memory serves me correctly. So what he did with Numinex and the mystery surrounding their battle doesn't even matter with regards to entry to Sovngarde. And we don't know much about how Draugrs work and how they can be made that I'm aware of, Idk if it was punishment but it could be that he was allowed to return to his body in Draugr form to defend his honor from Svaknir (sp?). I haven't been able to find enough information to figure out how all of that works.
@@josephjenkinsjr.2507 maybe his corpse was carried of to an ancient nordic burial site, and a dragonpriest or some form of magic reused the corpse in a necromantic ritual.
@@jvh4438 It's possible, I wouldn't dismiss that probability. It wasn't uncommon for Dragonpriests to perform Necromantic rituals and ceremonies. The question then becomes, was he a willing subject? Or did they stole into his tomb and do it after he had passed?
@@josephjenkinsjr.2507 If the draugr is in fact olaf I think his soul wouldn't be linked to the corpse or the dragonpriest since he van be found in sovngard. Or merely a portion remained to give the body enough to strenght to be reanimated.
@@jvh4438 I believe that the latter part of your statement is true. For most draugr that are encountered throughout Skyrim often feed a part of their souls to the Dragonpriest in order for the Dragonpriest's lifeforce to be sustained. So thus the draugr must, at the very least, retain a portion of their souls in order to be draugr.
I think the warriors that went with King Olaf one eye what is closest friends entrusted warriors if you were a hiking of course you would want to reward your friends for their support and their loyalty
If I kill a Daedric Prince like killing Mehrunes Dagon, what will happen? Will nothing happen or will I absorb his power thus making me the next Prince of Destruction? What do you think?
I do not think daedric princes work the same way as mortals, that you can absorve their essence. And that is assuming that you can kill a daedric prince, given that they could have no body afaik ( or the very least they shapeshift). I mean the full power of all daedric princes was no even enough to kill one of them: only cursing Jyggalag to become Sheogorath.
You can not kill them. You can cast them into the darkness, and they fear it and hate it (ref. "Spirit of the Daedra") but you can't kill them, they will always return.
Stay safe everyone!
That feeling when you go to fight Red Eagle but he spawns as a dragon priest cause you're high level
Somebody says "Olaf" and most people think of that snowman from Frozen but I think of this guy!
I think of either both or both fused together. Like they had a baby
huray more imperial knowledge for me!
But he held numinex in captivity, his heads in the throne room, and he is in sovngarde so he was a heroic nord. Great video good facts thank you again

I think King Olaf one eye is a great king and one of the best high Kings in Skyrim and a Great hero

I wonder how Numinex did not return with Alduin, Olaf was not a known dragonborn was he?

Olaf swéyont kóri pəlnékəm!!
Wether he lied or not, for his shocking, repulsive cruelty towards Numinex I say he deserves every last bit of backlash he got. Honorable, my ass.
