My only diamond lion has a mane like that when in the trophy lodge n it makes me sad haha currently grinding for a new one as I got a great one red deer the day after the pop reset

Not only does the lion mane make me sad also, it downright pisses me off. LOL They need to address it. When you place them in a trophy Lodge they look like they're on chemotherapy

Awesome vid Flinter the pop reset really helped me I got whitetail zones in places I would have never expected them and it gave me what I think is a better chance at the great one soon👍🏻
Short of sheer stupid luck, unless you have Every. Single. Zone. unlocked and grinded regularly, you arent gonna get a great one. Period.

@@Outdoor_Jack diamonds make up 1% of the population on a map. Great ones make up 1% of %1 of animals. Its a literal one in a million spawn. So if youre not doing every single thing possible to increase the chances of it spawning, the odds of one just randomly appearing is literally comparable to your chance of being struck by a falling airplane.

Hey Flinter, great video thank you for posting. Your struggs with the Cape Buffalo make me feel so much better. I thought I was the worst player ever when The .300 quit working on them...lol, new game mechanics to learn I guess. Maybe I'll go back to the 10 gauge with slugs. Are Wildebeest really that small? Congratulations on the Diamond. Maybe I'll find one too. Lots of Gold colored ones now.

Great video. Keep up the greeat work.Check the bottom river right below where your good scrub spot. Run that river right all the way down at kudu drink time you will find a ton. I had a ton of zones and a few big ones. Also hope the puppy is doing well.

Just started back up on this game yesterday for the first time in about 2yrs and boy am I lovin Silver ridge, the 308 makes life a breeze already have one diamond which was a turkey 😭 but still a diamond 👍 O find myself enjoying your content now that I'm back on the grind, keep it up.

Interestingly i had no problems with Cape Buffaloes and the .300, from long ranges mostly one lung, and when charging both and one directly to the heart. Logically the 338 should have higher penetration, yes? Definitely felt easier playing myself than what you experienced...

I enjoyed taking on a charging Cape buffalo up-close-and-personal with the 470. Since the update I now noticed they try and double-team you, which is a good thing though I am getting killed a little more right now till I get the hang of this two-on-one LOL But I also notice if you wound a charging one they may run away from you where before it was a fight to the death

I think they changed the way ballistics works cause some of the smaller rounds are penning better than they used to and alot of the larger rounds aren't penning as much as you would expect.
I feel like the rounds never penetrated like they should. I hunt whitetail deer irl with .243 and .270. Both rounds go through the deer irl and in game they stop half way. Doesnt make sense
@@phantomgbeats1703 not to mention the bobcat hunt a couple days ago where the 223 got about 2 inches of penetration, where irl the bobcat's lungs would be mush. Then there's things like the 454 penetrating better than a 338, the aforementioned 270 and 243 getting 7 inches of penetration on a whitetail, and a number of other big nonrealistic things that have been in the game since day 1...
@@papajohnsy6659 yea... dont get me wrong, it's a fun game, but the ballistics need to be reworked to a more realistic degree if they are going for a "realistic" hunting game
Are wildebeest broken or just super easy to get diamonds? I harvested 2 diamond gold wildebeest in the same herd
Flitter is it harder to get gold diamond wildebeest rather than the grey or dark grey? If so I got lucky, I killed two small horns and a big horns diamond golds
Is there a limit to the number of tents per map? Or in general? My Layton map won’t allow any more tents. Thanks, love the videos

I noticed they severely nerfed the speed in which you can swivel your aim while using iron sights on rifles. At least for PS4 anyway. Though here it looks like your iron sights speed is what it was before the update. Is this a console only "fix"?
*Even messing with the aim sensitivity doesn't effect it. Its just a severely slow iron sight swivel no matter what you do

The lake you said may be great for lions I have 7 drink zones for lions there and at 1 of them is a level 9 that I haven't gotten a shot into yet

My verhonga map on Xbox one has terrible sound issues when wilderbeast stampede and when there are larger crowds of animals the Lag is annoying as hell

The old Cape buffalo hot spot still has cape but there are rabbits everywhere there

Looking at the hits on the cape buffalo, the 338 is having penetration issues. It's not even showing into the flesh just impact on the hide.
What is the gun you are using

My first ever diamond was a lion that I got with the crossbow, and now it looks so pathetic in my lodge with this hair glitch :( I hope they fix it soon

Go to system and then game, look for POI and switch it on. For some reason it got turned off after the update for some people

Just went and hunted there and somehow got a gold diamond wildabeast it was pretty cool and I’m pretty sure I got the recording
Looks like Flinter has finally fell victim to the Iron Cape Buffalo bug. I was convinced I was making bad shots until I shot a cape buffalo with a 600Gr arrow and got zero penetration. Probably 1 in 10 shots just dont penetrate on them it seems. Dont have the issue with any other animals.
Right before the pop reset I got a albino then a diamond wildebeast within 5 min of each other

I watch a bunch of youtube videos and my game never has animals like this in it. Its usually just one or 2 animals at most
I dropped a 407m snipe on a gold wildebeest on this map :)

I just got a gold diamond level 4 wildebeest
I shot my first diamond wildebeest 2 seconds before i shot a gold “gold” and this gave me a major flashback
