Hi Milford. Part of the molding gets glued on under the glass so the answer is no. Please know that the molding is cosmetics so you could wait until you need to replace your windshield.
hey dude have u ever considered shooting the bead from the inside? I saw someone do it on a Ford Ranger and I have been doing it like that ever since I jus like to get a full bead on the top and bottom jus so no leaks and the sides I come out of the car and finish.
How did you get an OEM windshield with the Honda logo? I was told by my dealer that any replacement glass would not have this. Is this a pulled windshield from salvage yard? Wished you were in my town, I would hire you in a second.
I’m not sure why they say that it should have the logo. I do know that some vehicle do not come with a logo straight from the factory, but I don’t think this car is one of them.
What can i do if my windshield was improperly installed? The “professional” didn’t put the gasket and the side molding strips that come off theres like an inch gap with the windshield and worse when driving there was a weird rattling noise.
Are you in Corona CA? My 2013 Honda Accord LX doesn't this system install, and it has basic rear view mirrors. Can you install this system on it? Thanks
Simple Living we don’t install the system the dealership may be able to help you. We installed all auto glass and side mirrors but not the monitors system.
Joel Bullard I really don’t push the glass when reinstalling the camera or cover back on but if I ever felt like I did, then I would definitely press the glass down through the outside.
Alfredo, does the lane departure sensor need to be recalibrated after the windshield has been replaced? If not which sensors require recalibration by the dealers?
The only ones we are able to recalibrate with out going to the dealer is GM motors Chevy, GMC, Cadillac Etc. all the other ones you have to take it to the dealership and most of them will only do it if the glass you installed was an OE windshield.

Was not sure if i should glue the trim to the glass first or drop the lot onto the car and let the glue on the car hold it in place. Window Replacement in the UK is a rip off.

Alfredo - I have a 2014 accord. The gasket on the top of my windshield got damaged during the winter from scraping ice off my windshield. Can this be replaced without removing the glass?

yes, a scanner with bidirectional controls should be able to do that. Any autel in the medium range price will get you setup and all other calibrations as well. This module needs programmed but most of the time it learns on its own.
Mr Pogi We did this job years ago when the dealer did not even have the equipment to recalibrate the camera the customer was very aware of it, we recommend him to recalibrate as soon as the dealer were able to. but now yes we send the customers to the dealer to get the camera recalibrated.
When this replacement was done not even the dealership had the recalibration tools. This video is years old. Now we have aftermarket recalibration tools so we could recalibrate them in shop.

hey pal. does the glue hold the window seal in place or does it just get held in place by the glass jamming it in.

I had my windshield replaced with an aftermarket windshield and now I’m having issues with FCW/LDW system. Will having it recalibrated fix this?
