    Today is Day 39 for me wearing this Ultrahuman Ring Air all day & night and... yes, I still love the light-as-air technology wrapped around my finger! Funny enough, with the caffeine window reminders I've reduced the amount of caffeinated drinks consumed over the past five weeks. Cheers to portable health! Ready for your first smart ring, eh?

    Who knew smart rings would become their own market.
    I have same problem with finger swelling on runs.

      Yeah, I am as surprised, and yes, delighted, of the growth of smart rings. And yet, I definitely see the draw. A smart ring is far more comfortable to wear than any other smartwatch I have tested over the past 12 years.

      Yeah, I enjoy the integration of STAVA, Google Health, Apple Health, Samsung Health, and more. I could just wear my ŌURA Ring 3.0 at night and then slap on my Apple Watch 6 during the day; alas, I am testing other gadgets right now. I am excited for this Ultrahuman Ring Air from India.

      And yes, more competition in the smart-ring market will be great for consumers for ŌURA, Circular, Ultrahuman, RingConn, and others, will push the creativity envelope and design great products for Users [The Humans] at least, that is my hope...

    Hey Peter, thanks for making all your ring videos, they've been real informative and I've had a few laughs along the way.
    I would buy the Oura ring if they didn't have a subscription model. Other than Oura what ring would you be most inclined to recommend? I want it for sleep and normal daily tracking (I use a garmin 255s for exercise).

      Thank you, Alex, and happy to know my reviews have not only shared knowledge, experience, but also humor along the past 2,000 posts. A tough question: What is my favorite smart jewelry? I truly thought the ŌURA Ring from Finland was the king of rings and then, just three days ago, yes, an Ultrahuman Ring Air fell onto my finger. 'Twas just like that scene in the Lord of the Rings with Frodo - you know the one. Yes, it is lighter, thinner, and has all of the features I need to better my sleep, and yes, it already synchronizes with my Garmin workouts. I have most of the footage I need for an Ultrahuman Ring video and now I just need several more days of human data - mine! By next week, yes, I should know enough to answer your question - honestly.

      Yeah, I need several more days. Although, Ultrahuman already pushed out a firmware update and that is quite promising. It is 22:30 on Day Three wearing the Ring Air and my battery is only down to 68% and that was without plugging it in during a firmware update - nice! I had another smartring and it would only last about 48 hours. My nearly two-year old ŌURA Ring 2.0 only lasts about three or four days now.

    • @PeterHerget
      @PeterHerget  Рік тому +5

      1. how good is the circulation in your ring finger?
      2. if the ring is a good fit... index is best, middle is pretty good, and ring finger is good too. From what I've read, and experienced, yeah, the index is the preferred finger. Alas, I've been wearing my ŌURA Rings on my left ring, right middle, and right thumb for months now and the data results is very close ;)

    Hey Peter. I ordered (and received) the ring size kit, and apart from struggling a bit finding the right size (I am in between two sized) I am a bit challenged having the ring on all day, as I feel the "edges" are sharp and not soft and smooth. I actually had to take it off during the nights, because it felt uncomfortable. The question: Is the actual ring similar to the ring sizing kit in terms of feel of the rings "edges". Hoping they feel a bit more smooth. Thanks in advance 🙏🏻

    • @PeterHerget

      I heard a few others write that comment and I've been wearing my Ultrahuman Ring Air for nearly 40 straight days now and I feel it is nearly as comfortable as the ŌURA Ring 3.0 heritage. I tried the ŌURA Ring 3.0 Horizon last October and yeah, I felt it was even more comfortable than the two-year old heritage generation 3. In short, the plastic rings that Ultrahuman sent you to try on are not a true representation. The finished product is smoother and more comfortable to wear all day & night. I charge mine about every three days for 20 or 30 minutes. I did make to six days on one charge just as they advertise.

    Hello, I have a question about the Ultrahuman Ring AIR.
    I'm using a Garmin sports watch and while doing exercises I pair an external heart rate sensor on the watch because the heart rate data from the external heart rate sensor is more reliable.
    Is it possible to pair the heart rate sensor of the Ultrahuman Ring AIR to a Garmin watch so I can use it as an external heart rate sensor?

    • @PeterHerget
      @PeterHerget  Рік тому

      Sorry, not at this time. There is not a way to pair an HR chest strap to the Ultrahuman app either, but... they are on Year One, and they already allow Garmin, Apple, and many more to push/pull data from the Ultrahuman Ring Air; whereas, it too ŌURA Ring over three years to open their app. I normally wearing a Garmin watch too and it talks nicely with my Ultrahuman Ring :)

    Peter - Which size did you went with 11 or 12? Since few are half size so it difficult to confirm on the size.

    • @PeterHerget
      @PeterHerget  Рік тому

      I went with the size 11 and I wear my Ring Air on my left index. Just like normal rings, yes, they become quite snug during running, walking, and other workouts, when your arms are moving around and the blood gets flowing. During the winter I wear gloves to keep my rings from falling off in the snow :) If you're in-between sizes and think the 11 may be too small, yes, I would wear the sizing kit #12 for another 24 hours on the finger of your choice to see how it feels.

    Hello, thanks for the video. I actually have the sizing kit and I have to choose my size. I read online that the actual ring is slightly larger than the corresponding size of the sizing kit ring, do you know if it's true? Thanks.

    • @PeterHerget
      @PeterHerget  Рік тому +1

      Yes, I normally wear a size 12 on my index finger and I ended up ordering a size 11 with the Ultrahuman Ring Air and it fits nicely.
      I highly recommend the ring size you think fits best for a good one or two days and wear while doing a workout. If it is too lose, it can fall off, and of course, too tight, and you won't want to wear it for it will be uncomfortable.

      Thanks, actually I already bought it since I already have the sizing kit... Ok that you normally wear 12 but my question refers to the sizing kit because that's the thing I have and so what I can compare... the comparison I need is between sizing kit and actual ultrahuman ring

    • @PeterHerget
      @PeterHerget  Рік тому +2

      Ah, I understand your questions now, sorry... And yes, I wore the sizing kit size 12 UHRA (Ultrahuman Ring Air) for a solid day, and then changed to the size 11 (from the sizing kit) and wore that for nearly 36 hours. The size 11 in the sizing kit is very, very close to the size 11 they shipped me.

    Do you find that during winter your fingers swell? I’m moving to a state where it snows and just want to keep that in mind when deciding sizing.

    • @PeterHerget
      @PeterHerget  3 місяці тому

      Yeah, during winter, spring, summer, and fall, my fingers swell during workouts and my rings are tighter against the skin. Also, during winter 🥶 when not working out my fingers shrink and the rings are loose and fall off more often. Since I began testing smart rings four years ago, yep, I wear gloves 🧤 during the winter more frequently. Alas, while shoveling snow back on 01/13/2024, I took off my winter gloves and my ŌURA Ring gen 3 came off without me realizing and was lost 😞
